Relaxed TTC Feb/March/April 2016

Hi,

We've just agreed to start TTC #1 in March so just starting to look at preparing for that - prenatal vitamins, losing some weight, etc.

I'm 33 and have only been with my OH for just over a year but we're both sure this is the relationship for us...we'll be getting married but want TTC as a priority and fit any wedding around Mother Nature.

Not planning any temp checking or charting or such like....maybe I'll change my mind if I'm not preggers after six months or so!

Anyone planning TTC about the same time and want to keep in touch on this thread for relaxed catch ups about preparing and then TTC?

Good luck everyone ttc this cycle and hope those I'm the tww are coping ok, it can be a Killer. X

Sienna9522 · 28/03/2016 20:31

Official first month of ttc! Exciting, unfortunately my estimated ovulation date means that my EDD would be Christmas Day! If it was to happen this cycle. Too inpatient to wait though. Good luck to everyone!

TheresaMarie55 · 26/03/2016 20:17

Exciting stuff wispa! I'll be due to ovulate around 29th April if my cycles return to normal straight away. They have previously when coming off the pill but who knows x

wispaxmas · 26/03/2016 18:34

I'll be right behind you, Theresa! AF should arrive by the end of this week and then it'll be 28 or 29 days before our May cycle!

TheresaMarie55 · 26/03/2016 15:46

Hi hope everyone is well. Three more weeks and then I will be officially in the ttc club, I'm so excited. x

Pointlessfan · 23/03/2016 20:28

Thanks everyone, that's a good point about all the babies wispa!

wispaxmas · 23/03/2016 19:44

Jenny, FX for good news! I'm hoping for a March 17 baby, too. May sound silly, but I really think it would be the perfect time to have a baby - stuck indoors under a sleeping/eating newborn while it's still cold out, but still have a baby baby who will happily let you drink pimms in a pub garden during the summer.

wispaxmas · 23/03/2016 19:41

Not selfish at all, pointless, you don't have to be TTC for very long before getting impatient and ever so slightly jealous of pregnancy announcements. But if you do fall soon, think of how great it will be to have so many babies near to the same age!

wispaxmas · 23/03/2016 19:38

Hiya hippo!!

I got my DD the chicken pox vaccine due to wanting to be able to spend time with my step dad, who's in chemotherapy. Can't risk her coming down with anything and with the pox it's about a month of not being allowed contact, which is horrible!!

Vanillaradio · 23/03/2016 19:22

Pointless definitely not selfish. I was exactly the same before ds and i'm getting that way now, particularly when people with a little one ds' age announce a second pregnancy. I think it's totally normal.

Hope everyone is ok and congratulations avril. I've been having fun lately, both dh and ds got a nasty bug and ended up with chest infections then Saturday night a recovering ds climbed onto the back of his brick trolley and before dh could stop him fell straight over the handle and faceplanted the trolley! He went scarily sleepy and was hard to rouse so one trip to a and e. Of course by the time the doctor saw him he was charging round like nothing happened and we felt silly for going! Looks like no harm done anyway.
Makes me wonder why I want another one sometimesGrin

jennymac31 · 23/03/2016 18:53

I know exactly what you mean, Pointless. I hoping to have a March 17 baby but every time I leave the house I see another pregnant lady or spot someone at work with a baby bump all of a sudden, which makes me even more broody. Should find out in mid April whether I'll be made redundant but I'm probably gonna be on holiday when the announcement is made. Fingers crossed it'll be good news and I can start cracking on with ttc!

Yawninghippo · 23/03/2016 18:12

Pointless, definitely not selfish!
Theresa, I'm the same, not even trying and still feel very broody. I'd love one with my partner very much, so every time I see someone pregnant my mind does a little wander down the future path. X

SoozC · 23/03/2016 18:08

Totally natural, Pointless. We all feel like that I think. Big hugs x

TheresaMarie55 · 23/03/2016 18:02

Aww no, it doesn't at all pointless. I'm not actually trying yet but still get a little jealous if someone announces. Two of my bil's wives are pregnant, my sil and my stepsons mum are all pregnant. All due between July and September. I'm happy for them all but can't help feel a little jealous. X

Pointlessfan · 23/03/2016 17:44

Another of my friends is pregnant! That makes 7. I'm really happy for them all but I must admit I welled up a bit when I read the news. I'm starting to get impatient. I hope that doesn't make me sound horribly selfish.

TheresaMarie55 · 23/03/2016 17:26

Aww, bless them! Hope they're doing ok now.

My birthday is 13th of April, party on the 15th. Total coincidence but that's also when my next pill pack runs out lol! So in secret me and hubby will also be celebrating that were ttc from then x

Yawninghippo · 23/03/2016 17:11

My 6 year old has a weak immune system and has just spent a week in hospital for swine flu, poor lil thing. So many bugs and nasties around.

When is your birthday Theresa?
X

TheresaMarie55 · 23/03/2016 15:59

My three year old started the 15 hours in January and it's been illness after illness since! She's never normally ill but seems to be catching everything atm bless.

If I did have a party planned for my birthday I'd not bother taking my last pack of pills. I'm not really fussed about drinking tbh but I know my husband would rather me be able to let my hair down. Just a waiting game x

Yawninghippo · 23/03/2016 15:26

Hi Theresa!

I have a 7 yr old, 6 yr old and a 4 yr old. I came off the patch in December due to unexplained spotting and just haven't gone back on. Just finished AF so who knows what April will bring! Got my fingers crossed for everyone.

I'm still waiting for mine to get chicken pox, not one spot has ever been in sight! X

TheresaMarie55 · 23/03/2016 14:08

Welcome hippo! How old are your other children? I have a three year old, one year old and a 13 year old stepson. I'm still on the pill atm but will take my last one on the 15th of April, not long now!

My eldest has chicken pox at the moment so it's been a bit rubbish here lately, expecting my one year old to get them to but just waiting for now. Easter holiday plans of days out aren't looking like they're going ahead! X

Pointlessfan · 23/03/2016 07:27

Welcome hippo!

Yawninghippo · 22/03/2016 21:49

Hi allSmile, may I join?

I've spent the day reading through this thread, in a total non stalker way ( she says, realising that's what a stalker would say!).

I've got 3 children already with my ex and have been with my current partner a year, and talking about adding to the brood. We've been off contraception since December but not actively trying to make anything happen. Partner says he wants to definitely try from summer 2017Shock but is ok with me staying off contraception and if it happens, it happens. So being sensible and have started taking some vitamins just in case. Was having a little rummage around the posts here and this one has been lovely to follow, so thought I'd pop by and say hi!

I've only just joined so picking up the lingo as I go! Any help gratefully received!

Wheresmybippers · 22/03/2016 20:35

Thank you wispa Smile
