Relaxed TTC Feb/March/April 2016

Hi,

We've just agreed to start TTC #1 in March so just starting to look at preparing for that - prenatal vitamins, losing some weight, etc.

I'm 33 and have only been with my OH for just over a year but we're both sure this is the relationship for us...we'll be getting married but want TTC as a priority and fit any wedding around Mother Nature.

Not planning any temp checking or charting or such like....maybe I'll change my mind if I'm not preggers after six months or so!

Anyone planning TTC about the same time and want to keep in touch on this thread for relaxed catch ups about preparing and then TTC?

Congratulations Poison! Can I join the thread? Been lurking - curently on honeymoon & have less than a week of pills to take then I'll be regulating my cycle ready to TTC!!! Beyond excited :D

Pointlessfan · 19/01/2016 19:36

Congratulations poison!

Had my smear today, over my wobble now and ready to crack on with TTC but sensible side of me thinks its should wait for smear result especially as it's a long while since I had one.

Sorry to hear about the BFN mango.

Azure83 · 19/01/2016 18:54

Hi all, been following the thread and thought it's time to say hi! I've started my last pack of pills on Mon, off on the honeymoon next week and then we're ttc! I am so curious as to what my body will get up to after 13 years on the pill..
Keeping fingers crossed for everyone!

Sorry to hear about the BFN mango...have you been stressed or ill this month? Sometimes that can delay AG...

I'm sorry, Mango. Hopefully you'll be seeing a BFP soon.

How was your weigh-in, jenny? Sounds terrifying.

Thank you for all the congrats! I did another test as soon as I got home, it's just the same. Then of course DP called to say he'll be home late, so I have to sit on my news until 8pm. It doesn't feel real. I'm sure I'll forget I'm pregnant and open a bottle of wine or something. Or I'll get to the doctor's and she'll tell me I made a mistake.

I feel a bit like a cautionary tale about not using contraception--all it takes is one time!

SoozC · 19/01/2016 17:56

Congratulations, Poison!

Jenny, good luck. My third SW weigh in tomorrow evening. Was horrified to read last week that one puts in two stone during pregnancy. Surely some people don't! I want to lose two stone, not gain it!

mangocoveredlamb · 19/01/2016 17:41

5 days and counting Theresa!

TheresaMarie55 · 19/01/2016 17:34

Sorry for bfn mango, how late are you?

Good luck Jenny x

jennymac31 · 19/01/2016 17:32

Congratulations poison!

It's all getting very exciting and looking forward to hearing more announcements.

Am off to slimming world for my 2nd weigh-in so wish me luck!

mangocoveredlamb · 19/01/2016 17:13

Congratulations Poison!!

BFN from me I'm afraid, but this is probably a good thing!!

Vanillaradio · 19/01/2016 15:05

Yay. First bfp! Exciting news, congratulations! Lets hope its the first of many! For your hen night I think you need to confide in a helpful friend who can fetch you e.g. "vodka and orange" without vodka!

Felipa · 19/01/2016 14:59

Wow congratulations! Your wedding dress will be fine. First b f p! Hope it's as quick for everyone.

Avriljen · 19/01/2016 14:46

Oh my god!! Congratulations!! That was so quick!

isthatpoisontoo · 19/01/2016 14:21

Thank you all for the replies, btw, you're keeping me sane!

isthatpoisontoo · 19/01/2016 14:12

He just called, it was so hard to keep my mouth shut. I'll tell him this evening. He started a new job on Monday, I don't want to distract him at work.

isthatpoisontoo · 19/01/2016 14:06

The shock is wearing off and the happiness gaining a foothold. I'm just so surprised! You all seem so sure. I'll be cleaning a shop out of tests to double check on the way home.

stumblymonkey · 19/01/2016 14:05

Will you tell DP today by text or this evening?

Poison....bloody hell! What a start to the BFPs on the thread...once and done!!!

The dress will be fine but sad times about the champers. It's Sod's law that you'd be upduffed immediately....if you'd have been desperate to conceive this month I bet it would have been monthsWink

Those swimmers were waiting for your egg Grin Wedding dress be fine, just have to stay off the champers!

TheresaMarie55 · 19/01/2016 13:53

October baby for you poison 😊 my girls are both October born, great month to have a baby haha x

TheresaMarie55 · 19/01/2016 13:52

Poison, that my friend is a bfp! A very clear one at that, no mistaking. Congratulations hun x

isthatpoisontoo · 19/01/2016 13:38

We weren't even trying yet! We only did it once, not even at the right time. I've got a clingy wedding dress and gallons of champagne scheduled for the end of Feb! And a hen party with cocktails. I have about 50 opks to use up!

Argh!

AliceScarlett · 19/01/2016 13:23

Looks like a BFP to me!! Omg so excited for you! 1st one of the thread. Woooo xx
