AF has arrived today. It's cd1 for me once again.

Gx I never even noticed dont worry haha!

Im hoping its a good sign as even though i wasnt trying for DD i remember feeling ill for 3 weeks before my BFP. AF was 5 days late by this point. But since i found out on the honeymoon i put the sickness down to Wedding until i had my BFP obviously lol. Im having mild cramps today but nothing major.

Really hoping this is my month! Hubby keeps saying he wishes we would just get pregnant bless him!!

Thanks Pulled Have you spoken to your GP? thats really horrible for you. :( Hope your dads okay! maybe the stress is mucking up your cycle? i hope that you get your BFP but that may be a factor

I've officially decided to take a break as there is so much going on with my dad that has been really stressful and worrying. I don't think I'll be in a mood to DTD anytime soon. He is still in hospital and maybe going for another op

hopelass I think you're right about calculating the time, but personally I reckon it's a risky strategy. If it were me, I reckon I'd be jumping on DH asap just to be sure. Then again 24 hours later. Maybe I'm just desperate though...

Hello newbies and good luck on your ttc journey

Yet again I haven't read back yet , I promise I will and say hi to everyone. I've just got a quick question ..... Positive opk today on cd17 instead of the usual cd18-19 but DP is away working tonight! Could we leave dtd until tomorrow night or should I try and jump on him before he leaves at lunchtime?! I think I know the answer!
If I'm correct ov should happen 12-36 hours from opk and then the egg can live up to 12 hours so if we dtd in 36 hours (tomorrow night) we are still in with a chance?? Thanks in advance

Dh and I finally dtd yesterday. Once we got started it was easy to lose myself so wasn't as anxiety inducing as I was fearing. Poor dh. He has been so patient and understanding but has genuinely looked like he is walking on air today! Really hoping af shows up in the next week or so and I can start to track my cycles again. I still feel really wobbly about ttc. but now that we've dtd I feel less anxious. Thanks everyone

Hope AF goes quickly Jennie. I'm 38 so I know what you mean about age being a factor. I don't really like OPKs but I find temping really useful because you can tell once you actually have ovulated but others swear by the sticks. Whatever you feel most comfortable with!

AF hasn't shown up yet here. Had a temp rise this morning - I'm trying not to let it gets my hopes up after yesterday's BFN. Still only 12dpo though, and still getting these weird skipped heart beats which have only happened this month. Who knows, I'll find out soon enough I guess...

I'm currently on cd5 of cycle 2 and AF still visiting. She better be gone by tomorrow!! Gonna speak to DH about OPK as I'm not strong enough to take months of disappointment based on guesses. Not to mention my age being a factor if any medical intervention was needed.

DS is 22 months old and two days ago I had my Mirena out. I'm currently having the withdrawal bleed and once that has passed TTC will commence.

I have got OPKs all ready and waiting as since my Mirena went in my periods have been all over the place so wouldn't have a clue when ovulation was occurring.

loki the miscarriage association website is really good and they have a helpline too, I didn't call myself but I'm told it is very good. Just in case you didn't know about it xx I was the opposite to you, absolutely desperate to get going again, but I think it's different for everyone, and there is nothing wrong with waiting a while if that makes it easier for you. It's so hard when people minimise the distress caused. It's the loss of the future that I found most difficult - knowing that everything would now be different. But it does get better, I promise. . I am really confused. I am 4 days late so tested this morning using a first response. The pregnancy line came up dark and clear straight away however the control line is very faint. You can barely see it. What does this mean? Do the lines ever come up the wrong way round? Does this mean the test is faulty? Really not sure whether this means I'm pregnant or not?!

Oh Loki I can imagine... So tough to get started again. Sounds like a good idea to get some help if you can. Sorry, nosy question, but have you DTD at all since the MC? Wondering if it might help do do it on some days definitely not near ovulation so it's just about the two of you being together? And work up to DTD on the right days, IYKWIM?

Mine is now 'cooking' with herbs and spices from the kitchen - all orange curry type powders. It's going to go everywhere I'm sure but she likes using the handheld vac so she can clean it up after!

aaahh sweet that u have your dd cuddled up besides you.my dd has bcome a little menace tbh.u can find her with lotion all over her clothes,all my shoes can be taken out of the wardrobe.anything and everything she comes across she just has to make a mess.
