Thanks Leonie

Lana they are if really early but I've been told to come with a full bladder so keeping my fx for not having the dildocam.

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 29/12/2015 22:41

Leonie - if you meant preseed, which I think you did now! nope not tried it! (Expensive isn't it!)

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 29/12/2015 22:38

Leonie I've tried it before very briefly, last time I ttc (didn't get a bfp, then put it all on hold due to work). From what I've read it helps produce more estrogren so good for people concerned about whether they ovulate or not (like clomid apparently). You shouldn't use it if you have normal cycles (I shouldn't really either - but I'm going to take the risk!).

LanadelLol · 29/12/2015 22:36

Aw goodness, I hope it passes soon for you. You'll be begging for the cravings to kick in.
Yeah you'll need to keep us updated tomorrow! If you don't mind me asking, are the early scans internal scans? X

leoniethelioness · 29/12/2015 22:35

Good luck, Bunch!

Yep, I'm giving myself two cycles of trying in a fairly relaxed way and then I'm getting on it with all the gizmos I can get my hands on! Let's hope for good news for all of us trying this cycle. Cycle #2 here we go!

BunchOfBobs · 29/12/2015 22:33

Hi Lana. I'm good now thanks, haven't had the best few days feeling quite rubbish with hideous trapped wind, being completely off food and just feeling rubbish. Had a much better day today though. Smile
I'm 7+4 today but I'll find out officially what I'm measuring tomorrow eek!

LanadelLol · 29/12/2015 22:27

Oh Bunch how are you? Are you excited? How far on are you? X

LanadelLol · 29/12/2015 22:26

Ni I am the same, won't buy anything until I have a BFP but I have picked everything out already. I like to plan ahead ☺️.
Leoni I bought the OPKs after my first cycle too as I heard Ovia and the other apps would be out of sync a little so having the positive/negative OPKs keeps things on track and is good to look back on. Who knows tho, you might have a BFP this cycle and not need to buy them fx.
I personally think you should test on your due date but if you have any sticks lying around, there's no harm in knowing.
X

BunchOfBobs · 29/12/2015 22:21

Evening ladies and hello all newbies.
I tested 4 days early but I have a long cycle so was still cd 29. I got a line visible on IC even though faint, the next day used a digital- no arguing with "pregnant".

I'm off for my early scan tomorrow and now really nervous!!

leoniethelioness · 29/12/2015 22:18

So many typos there - arrives, not arrived and convinced, not convicted. Sorry! First day back in work after Xmas and brain all foggy. Are you all still off for Xmas?

shelbTa · 29/12/2015 22:17

Cramping is good stark, cramping is good.

X

leoniethelioness · 29/12/2015 22:16

Ni, that sounds alright! We've used lubricant before but in a sort of fun slippery way (!!!) rather than using anything medicinal like an applicator! Blush I've had a think and have decided to postpone buying OPK, tests and Preseed until AF arrived in January. I'm CD8 (29 day cycle) and figure it'll be too late for them to be of any use by the time they arrive. If I'm not pregnant this month, I'm caving. AF due 20 January so will be poised to order around then!

To our pregnant girls, did you test before AF was due, the day it was due or some time after? When's best in terms of striking a balance between knowing early and having a result you can rely on? My early BFN this month with a FRER drove me mad as it was somewhere between 75% and 95% accurate so I was pretty convicted it was right but had some lingering -hope- doubt.

Ni4444 · 29/12/2015 22:01

Leonie you mean the pre-seed applicator? I squeezed it in (tmi sorry!) before heading to the bedroom...OH never even realised I used it!!

Zazzle I'm new to countdowntopregancy but I'm gonna explore it!

As for superstitions...I'm not usually...but I won't buy anything til BFP cos I'll just be afraid I'll seem like a crazy lady! (although judging by my posts on here the crazy is already out!)

This evenings opk was no good cos too dilute a sample oops! Gonna dtd anyway! Just to be sure Wink

StarkyTheDirewolf · 29/12/2015 21:59

Aaah ni it's my favourite pregnancy test judging site! It has a gallery! It's awesome! Although I need to have a proper look at the rest of it!

I'm having cramps again, and I honestly just thought I'd come on early, feels like I'm bleeding...but I'm not!

I've heard of that old wives tale too, I'll just go with whatever my dm says, I'm not fussed either way, Im superstitious about some things but I've not thought that far ahead yet!

I can't concentrate tonight either! Sorry guys, I don't want anyone thinking I'm being rude or ignoring! I'm not, I've just eaten a shit load of chocolate honeycomb and not my eyes won't focus! Grin

Zazzles - have you used it before? Is it worth getting? I'm filling my IC OPK and pregnancy test basket on Amazon and dithering about whether to splurge for it. The idea of an applicator doesn't sound all that sexy?

LanadelLol · 29/12/2015 21:40

haha I knew what you meant Pink. I don't believe in the pram one at all but it is just a wifey thing isn't it.
Are you going to find out what your having Pink Runner? X

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 29/12/2015 21:40

Sorry about af snow - sounded promising but be kind to yourself, atleast you can get cracking in a week or so time :)

I've decided to take soy day 2-6, it made me feel a bit ill when I've taken it before and since I'm already in pain with af I may as well get it over with at once!

Ordered new ov sticks and preg sticks from Amazon, and I know I said I wasn't - but I've also ordered a BBT. Can't really argue with £3! Really want to buy preseed too.

So it's CD2 today. I think I ovulated on CD13/14 last month so will be dtd from CD8.

Ni I'm literally obsessed with countdowntopregancy! Have you been through all the tools?!

Pinklily1 · 29/12/2015 21:34

Pram superstition, not oral superstition, damn autocorrect!!

I haven't heard of the three drain thing either. I know about ladders and cracked mirrors but that's about it Smile

Runner05 · 29/12/2015 21:22

Pink "Oral superstition"?! Shock never heard of that one Grin

I've never heard of the three drain thing either. I'm obviously lacking when it comes to weird superstitions Wink

LanadelLol · 29/12/2015 20:41

Found a link of a MN asking the same question.
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/1652302-Bad-luck-to-keep-pram-at-home-before-baby

LanadelLol · 29/12/2015 20:38

Runner Miley A lot of people
Where I am from will keep their pram in someone else's house until or just before the birth, apparently it's bad luck to keep it at home. I don't believe in it. I already have a pram, furniture and bedding picked out but I won't buy anything until I have a BFP. Also have a wish list of maternity clothes on ASOS too😂.
I don't walk over 3 drains either tho, I must look like a loon when I prance over the 3rd but I think it's more of a childhood habit now 🙈
That twin stuff is so interesting. I take it that is a hoax when they say it's a generational thing? My gran was a twin but none of my immediate a have had twins and there are loads of us!
Dubb you can never tire of DTD when it comes to baby making, a quick 5 mins can do the job haha X

Pinklily1 · 29/12/2015 20:24

I've never heard of the oral superstition either, I'm intrigued now!

We surely must get some twins from this thread!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 29/12/2015 20:20

I think I'd rather know where I was up to with one baby initially! I was watching a science/genetics programme the other day which suggested that as many as 1 in 5 pregnancies start out as identical twins, but the 2nd twin is often reabsorbed into the womb lining before a woman ever even knows she's pregnant or has been for a scan! It was fascinating!

It was saying left handed people they think are the product of mirror twins when the right handed twin has reabsorbed, so if there are a lot of left handed people in your family, your liklihood of carrying twins increases slightly, but that identical twins are as much of a possibility as fraternal twins with any woman because it's just down to the circumstances in your womb on to the given day when the egg cells split!

Hi everyone, just checking in. Have been keeping up with reading posts but can't remember everything! Hi to new thread buddies and fx for bfps for those with testing now or soon!

I'm CD6 today so starting the regular dtd for cycle #2 yay! Going to try for EOD though OH was up for every day ha! I worry that we'd tire ourselves out before I ovulate!

Going to try and temp this month as my thermometer arrived today - would be good to know if I ovulate after being on the pill for so long!

Mileymoocow · 29/12/2015 19:18

I agree with Runner though I'm still not going to risk walking over 3 drains if I can help it. My luck is shit enough. Out of interest though, what's the pram one?

Starky and Lana twins run in my family so I'm hope hope hoping for the same! One pregnancy would be ideal Wink
