Guys I'm going to kick myself in the cock! I've just got another positive okp. Completely different brand, slightly more expensive! I'm throwing my teddy out of the cot and as soon as I run out I'm not testing anymore! I'm definetly talking bollocks not doing okp's next month! I've got the weirdest luteal phase ever! Waaaaaaaail! And now I can do a deep breath, and blow all the stress away!

shelb and runner I think what I'll do is give it a swerve till next week, so if I'm due on the 12th, ill test from the 8th, rather than testing from this weekend as ovia suggests! I'm going to be very calm and zen like about it now, I'm mentally refusing to get worked up over it, there is no urgency, aaaaaaall deep breath in, hold it for 5, and exhale! or, run around, flap and squeak for the next fortnight as I do daily tests, which is sooo much more likely

ni ovia done that to me too now, in fact, I've had different fertile weeks given by every app I've entered my data into! Don't let the bastards get you down!

harriet that was my eventual diagnosis, stinking kidney infection! Ooh the pain though!

feef when you've had your longest sleep, save your first morning urine and test with that.

Well it's official, I'm upduffed. 7+2 according to measurements so only 3 days out. And no dildocam wahey! Full bladder pressing around isn't fun though. Cried like a baby when I left

Morning all!
starky lol at dildo cam - I had a very similar experience when I went to hospital aged 19 with a kidney infection. They didn't even tell me what they were doing and it was only when I saw the nurse putting a condom and lube on it that I twigged - it was a terrible shock!!!
Fx you don't have that bunch though actually the scan itself wasn't so bad.

I woke up early this morning needing to wee and feeling a bit nauseous. I'm only 9 dpo (cd 30) though so must be too early for symptoms yet? I'm in oh's parents' house so couldn't poas even if I wanted to!

Ovia has changed my FW dates for about the 3rd or 4th time this month! It keeps extending it based on my CM input. I must try to get a good opk later todayno water for me So Starky not due to test for 2weeks now! AF due in 12days...but I guess that might change too!

Sounding like good signs stark. Get a DTD in this weekend just in case then sit back and cruise through to the 12th. Agree with runner I found poas all the time easier than not, and near the BFP I was sick of the sight of piss so much so it was beginning to become a chore, took a lot of the worry out of it mind.

Kat all of those lines look as dark as the control line to me in which case you are having a long hormone serge and should consider the first one as your ovulation indicator and disregard the others. The dark line will fade eventually but for me it took 4 days.

Elle how how you not tested yet?!

Stark from what I've read most people find it more stressful not testing and worrying about testing than just getting on with it. If it's negative then you know that's either it or it's too early and you do kinda become desensitised and start just thinking "Oh well". I'm sure I mentioned before that by the time I got my BFP I almost found testing boring rather than nerve wrecking because I was so used to doing them that it was just part of my routine... Get up, brush teeth, pee on stick...

I am now on CD 30, no sign of AF yet but not tested again yet. Have had 2 crack of dawn starts yesterday and today and will test tomorrow if no AF appears by then. Don't think it's likely at all, no symptoms other than wind but diet could def explain some of that! I've hit the sprouts hard this year!

You're as bad as me kat sperm can live up to 5 days inside the floo, so they're probably forming a queue, elbowing each other out of the way and arguing about who gets to impregnate you first if you've dtd that many times! You're onto a winner! Stop stressing doesn't take own advice tomorrow evening will be fine, and your okp's look awesome! who knew I'd be complimentary about another womans urine

Welcome newbies!!!

Guys... I'm wondering when I might have/will ovulate from these OPKs- have put them all together. Started Xmas eve CD7, last one today (Tuesday) which is/was CD12.
Darkest line was probably 28th. (Cd11) we dtd on cd 3 5 7 9 10 11. Not today. I'm worried any little guys in the right place might have died off already. And tomorrow evening might be too late? Or am I panicking unnecessarily?

ni yep, af due on the 12th, ovia says to test in 3 days, but I'm all of a dither in case I only just ovulated this weekend, I'very gone from feeling positive, to thinking I'm 70% sure I've missed both/either possible ovulates! you're due a test this weekend too aren't you? It's so exciting!

bunch I think it's a normal scan if they want a full bladder, I had to have a dildocam once long story short, I was 22, weird hormones, funny periods, pain, had to be checked for an eptopic, all was fine though they're not that bad, I got a shock though! Definetly wasn't expecting to take on a 12 inch girthy bastard when I presented at triage thinking I had appendicitis!

That's why I'm nervous to test runner I retreat to that mental anxiety place where I think I'd rather not test and not know and expect af. But then I'm thinking I'd rather test every day from now till af, so I can have a handle on the anxiety, just cautious of it becoming an ocd trigger! Get to bed and look after yourself lady!

Lana I've had similar conversations about baby showers. Some friends haven't wanted one because they feel uncomfortable celebrating before having a safe/healthy baby! I'm not sure what I think about that.

Oh Stark lots of promising symptoms -I hope this is your month!! What date did you say you'll test? AF due around the 12th if I remember correctly?

ni my crazy is well and truly out! I'm so glad I bought a shit load of tests because I already want to see what okp brings tomorrow! I knew gradually introducing baby stuff would sway Dh towards ttc so ner rather than later. And the moses basket we a pound, so I couldn't walk away from that!

Ooooh bunch that's such lovely news! Make sure you get a little photo and post it for us! I'm so excited to see! Can't believe yore nearly 8 weeks! Seems like two mins ago we were wondering if we should start ttc early!

shelb I hope so, Ivery had mild cramps all week but then this evening I've had cramps with waves of nausea! Really hope I'm not getting poorly, knowing my luck I'll not be pregnant and just end up with the trots instead!

Leo I tested every day from 8dpo because that how I controlled my anxiety. I got BFP at about 12dpo. I have a long cycle of 34ish days and ovulated about cd10 so there was no point waiting.

If you know when you ovulated then you can test between 12 and 14dpo and be fairly certain that if you have BFN on 14dpo you're out regardless of when your AF is due. The problems arise when you get your ovulation date wrong and test early thinking that you're testing 12dpo.

The pregnancy test boxes always go by AF date when stating when you should test and how accurate it will be because they have no way of knowing how long your cycle is and when within your cycle you ovulated. Many people using the tests will not be tracking ovulation so it just makes sense to say test around AF due date. The reason why the early tests don't always work is that if you are typical and have a 28 day cycle where you ovulated cd 14 you would only be on 10dpo if you tested 4 days before AF is due and so you're too early to get a BFP.

Hope that made sense. Tired and may be woffling.

Summary is, if you're fairly confident of the day you ovulated then use that rather than AF and test at 12dpo at the earliest.
