Indi red dye tests are the best and if you can get a FRER I would recommend it as they really are the most accurate and less likely to give a dodgy or ambiguous result.

IndiX · 02/01/2016 11:23

Thanks Runner you've made me feel a lot more positive about it all..I guess the worst case scenario is a BFN and then I'll be more prepared this month.
I'll go to asda and buy a couple of tests later for tomorrow morning. do you think any old test will do? Or should I get a FRER?

Ni4444 · 02/01/2016 11:23

Morning ladies,

Thanks for the EWCM reports from the young ones! Wink I'm 33 and only noticed one day of EWCM last month, noticed none this month...let's hope the pre-seed lube helps with ushering the tadpoles along if my own aging lube ain't up to it!! you'd swear I'm 43, not 33!

Enjoying doing temping the last few days since thermometer arrived...something new to learn about, Google and obsess over!

Happy long weekend all xxx

Runner05 · 02/01/2016 11:00

Indi for most people it's the fear of BFN not the actual BFN that is worse. Most people after testing either way feel a bit relieved.

And don't worry about timing etc. I found out I ovulated early and completely missed my window. Had one rather feeble dtd right at the end and still got upduffed! OH was actually not convinced by a fairly solid line because we couldn't figure out how we'd managed it lol

Pinklily1 · 02/01/2016 10:59

Starky, I think we were exceptionally lucky to get a few bfp's in a row on this thread, when in reality I think it takes most people more than one or two cycles. Remember our motto - you're not out till you're out, so until your AF shows up you are very much in the game!

Canters, I hope you have a fabulous wedding day and a honeymoon filled with lots of sex Grin

Sorry about the bfn Handbags. Hopefully if its a bfn this month your AF will come soon and get things going again.

shelbTa · 02/01/2016 10:49

stark I was hoping to log on this morning to see some good news from you - you've got some serious willpower lady!

X

IndiX · 02/01/2016 10:31

Really runner? I'm scared to test incase it's a BFN, I don't know whether it's best to just wait for my AF but it that's late it's a catch 22 situation my husband is away until tomorrow evening aswell and I always feel like I need him around when I do a test to stop me being an emotional, cranky mess if it's BFN. Oh I don't know what to do, I'm now doubting myself that we didn't DTD enough of maybe I wasn't ovulation on the days I thought I was. Massive mind fuck this conceiving malarkeyConfused

Handbagsnhorses · 02/01/2016 10:25

runner05 don't be sorry! I was coming off to settle my cycle to start TTC around April... then my OH (when never ever wanted kids) has decided it's exactly what he wants and we may as well just plod along and see what happens. So thankfully at the moment I'm not stressing or anything, just want to make sure I look after myself if I am! - I have 2 kids from a previous bad relationship and didn't get to look after myself as much as I'd have liked so want to be able to take vitamins and eat right now that I'm 'allowed' to! ☺

Runner05 · 02/01/2016 10:11

Stark I am cautiously optimistic about your chances this month. But am not going to get too excited as you keep defying me and refusing to test Wink

Handbag sorry for the BFN. Coming off the pill can really screw up your cycle and the stress of thinking you may be pregnant might actually be delaying AF. Try to relax AF will appear and then you can get cracking Smile

Indi test tomorrow. I tested for about a week up to the date Ovia told me to test. I think I hot the faintest hint of a line the day before but didn't get a definite line until the actual day. It's worth doing.

Handbagsnhorses · 02/01/2016 10:01

IndiX I have no idea! I had the implant taken out in June, then had two 28 day cycles, then went onto the Zeletta POP mini pill on Sept 2nd. Had no bleeding at all on that. Been off implants 3 weeks today and still no sign of AF but as each day passes more random symptoms. Still feeling sick and can't stomach the smell of coffee!!

IndiX · 02/01/2016 09:53

Oh and I'm 25y/o and only noticed the EWCM for a few days don't think I had it for a week?!

IndiX · 02/01/2016 09:52

Congratulations canter and good luck with lots of honeymoon shagging!!
Stark I completely understand with the being left behind thing, but there's a few newbies now (including me) and we're all in the same hormonal, bloated, gassy boat as you!
Ovia is telling me to test tomorrow but becuase I did an early one the other day and got bfn, I'm scared to do one now. I have no symptoms still of either AF or being preggo!
Sorry for the BFN handbags our bodies our amazing but so confusing! When are you due your AF?

Jamjar12 · 02/01/2016 09:49

I'm sorry Stark, hope you can cheer yourself up a little! Sucks to be over emotional doesn't it? I went over a friends house the other day who is due next week. I litre rally haven't been able to get the image of her huge belly out of my head. It's like a full blown addition!!

Ni, I'm 28. I've read EWCM should last about 5-7 days at my age I think? I've always thought 'oh, I must be super fertile then' but now I'm trying, I don't think it quite works that way lol. Plus, it's kinda gross!

Handbagsnhorses · 02/01/2016 08:58

And good luck canters15 with the wedding and the shagging 😂😂

Handbagsnhorses · 02/01/2016 08:57

Hi ladies... just did a FRER test... negative! Which is crazy because I spent 5 minutes gagging in the bathroom before I could focus on trying to pee in a cup. Feeling as sick as a pig again today! Eurgh!

Oh well... guess I had better wait for AF to turn up (whenever she decides she's ready) and then get busy 😉

Canters15 · 02/01/2016 08:37

Sorry for bfns and afs.

Wedding fever is here, off to get married but will try and check in next week!

In the meantime wish me luck with lots of honeymoon shagging!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 02/01/2016 01:39

runner I figuratively have more issues than Vogue right now! I am giant bagpipes, my arse is musical ! I accidentally ate chilli so my face is swelled up and my tongue feels like I've been grooming a cat with it! My tummy is bloated and full of stabby pain! And im in a glass case of emotion! Grin

OP posts:
Runner05 · 02/01/2016 00:27

Oh my god Stark you have issues... Feeling sorry for Anne Boleyn is totally unacceptable behaviour Wink

StarkyTheDirewolf · 02/01/2016 00:18

I'm so sorry guys! I don't want to make everyone all miserable! I'm just a hormonal bag of balls today! Literally, I am 46% weepy muppet! Oh hormones you sneaky bastards! You shall not defeat me! And my tummy hurts! And im thirsty! And i have a headache! And Anne Boleyn is totally about to get beheaded still watching the tudors so I feel a bit sad for her! Good lord! What is wrong with me?!

Right that's it! Moan over! Cheerful cheerful cheerful fart joke YouTube funny cat video and a big glass of juice! 😊😄😆

There's still a long way to go yet! And we are not out! We are either upduffed or enjoying trying!

I haven't seen sherlock yet! That's tomorrow!

runner you're right! Totally right! I'm being maudlin and despondent with no just reason! And there's no sense in being soft about it! Onwards and upwards!
kat still 11 days till af! It feels like it's been a slog because it's the first time I've been so involved in my cycle and noted every day, whereas usually I'd not pay any mind to it! I'm pretending it's not such a long one and living vicariously through other people's tests! I can't wait for yours! I've not dtd for a few days either, I'm just so completely full of food!
ni turner you're both right! We've had so much good luck on our lovely thread! And long may it continue!
leonie having a clear out is such a good way to start the new year! I started the other day! And my dms so pleased I bought some new clothes she even offered to give me some money to buy more in fairness, I usually look halfway between a homeless person and a scruffy gym atendee

Yep, all the BFPs are on the dryathlon Wink

Bubbapup89 · 01/01/2016 23:56

Stark I was in the original thread too. I know I am stopping trying for a few months but this was month 3 and I will still stick around.
I wouldn't be able to hold off on the testing especially as ovia says to! Lots of willpower!

Anyone else doing the dryathlon this month?

leoniethelioness · 01/01/2016 23:34

I've been reading about the art of tidying (!!!) online and am now itching to have a bloody good clear out. It sort of makes me feel like we're making space for a baby so it seems like a productive thing to do as other than shagging and crossing my fingers, there's not much else I can do! Here's a link about it in case you have a similar new year's resolution - www.today.com/series/secrets-of-success/life-changing-magic-tidying-testing-marie-kondos-method-t21356

KatOnATinRo0f · 01/01/2016 23:33

Stark I'm still here. Apparently can test in a week. It's going very slowly. I'm not sure if I have tingly nipples or I was just wearing an uncomfortable bra. Or if I have cramps in my uterus or I ate too much I think the latter have stopped POAS for now (OPK) as the last two got fainter which makes sense for this part of my cycle. Have also stopped dtd mainly as feel fat due to amount of food consumption.
When is your AF due? I know you have long cycles but it seems like this one has gone on forever?!

I really enjoyed the champagne last night kind of want to spend the next week drinking champagne just in case

So what did we think of Sherlock? I felt a bit let down if I'm honest

Runner05 · 01/01/2016 23:31

Stark don't feel down. We all started before you jumped the gun And you're only on your first proper cycle aren't you? And I think Shelb is the only one to catch on cycle 1. It's not time to feel despondent yet Smile

leoniethelioness · 01/01/2016 23:30

Ni I'm in my 20s too and my EWCM seems to last a while. Didn't help last month as still a BFN!

Also enjoyed a few glasses of champagne last night. I'm now teetotal - at least until the end of the month. Drank a bit too much on holiday and could do with waking up refreshed on a Saturday rather than groggy!

Sherlock was good but got a bit confused at times as I couldn't really remember what happened with Moriarty or to Sherlock in the previous episode.
