Gabriella is lovely leonie and indi ... problem is... there are soooooo many nice names! Lol

harrietm87 · 02/01/2016 18:05

Well AF has well and truly arrived! I shouldn't have wasted a clearblue yesterday!!

Going to have a big glass of wine tonight to make up for it! (Dry january starts tomorrow...).

Welcome back leonie - haven't seen you in a while! I've done a massive kitchen clear out today as well. Does anyone else get an urge to clean furiously just before AF arrives? I remember my mum had mad cleaning rampages when I was a kid and now I know why!!!

We haven't picked names yet but have agreed they can be Irish ones (I'm Irish) since they'll have OH's surname! We live in London so hopefully people will cope with spellings/pronunciation!

IndiX · 02/01/2016 18:04

I love Henry handbags!!
Gabriel is another one on my list Leonie, I think all your names are lovely though.

Handbagsnhorses · 02/01/2016 18:03

Henry was the middle name of my OH grandad who passed away in 2015. Victoria is my middle name and also my great grandmothers name. We like Isobella as it can be izzy or Bella when shortened!

I already have a Thomas and a Darcy ☺

leoniethelioness · 02/01/2016 17:55

Handbags - love Henry. My cousin is having a baby in the spring and Isabelle is one of her picks. I think she's going to name her either Isabelle or Olivia. Very pretty. Smile

I change my mind a lot. I like Biblical names and royal names. DH and I have agreed to shortlist Emily, Martha, Eloise, Henry and Gabriel so far. I think a lot of names sound weird with our surname so have discounted a few. It has a strong "ee" sound so lots of names don't work. I have tried to sell DH on Ruth and Paul but he's not convinced. I like solid names that aren't really used for babies any more but he thinks some of my suggestions are a bit dated.

Dubbya · 02/01/2016 17:48

Indi and handbags those are lovely names. We've talked about some name ideas but not going to say here as may be identified from them.

Leonie I've only had one full cycle since coming off the pill and it was 31 days so Ovia is suggesting to test in 22 days but may be a bit off as it's only cycle #2

Handbagsnhorses · 02/01/2016 17:42

No secret leonie! Henry William and Isobella Victoria :)

leoniethelioness · 02/01/2016 17:42

I am shocked at how long it took us just to do the kitchen. I've thrown out the things that have been lurking in the cupboards for years and have now gone off Blush and set a bunch of bits aside to donate. Chucked out an old tired frying pan and all the spray bottles hiding in the cupboards that were nearly empty. It is nice to open the doors of the cupboards to see everything in a proper place. It was organised chaos before. I tend to hang on to things that people have given us even if they aren't used. When we moved in together all of our relatives dumped their old plates and cutlery and things on us, and it was great and saved us a lot of money, but we were still hanging on to them even though we have our own stuff now!

How long are your cycles, dubbya? Mine seem to have stabilised at 29 days but had one longer one of about 35. My AF is due on 20th and Ovia says I can test in 18 days.

indy - lovely names! I really like Sebastian and Arabella!

IndiX · 02/01/2016 17:30

Aaah yes I love hearing baby name ideas!!

I like Sebastian James and Leo for boys. I also love Arabella/Ariella for girls but I'm not crazy about Ella also love Sienna/Sierra.
How exciting, well done for the big clear out!

Dubbya · 02/01/2016 17:29

Yay to Dryathleting (for nine months hopefully!)

Leonie we're quite close CD-wise then. You've done well so far with dtd. My OH drunkenly said he didn't have a problem with every day but that doesn't seemed to have worked. Don't want to bring it up though as too pressured. Just going to keep it enjoyable!

Love a good clear-out! Yes we have talked about names - actually was brought up by OH surprisingly. He started off very resistant to the whole having children thing and has now after I got upset about getting too old etc and persuaded him come full circle and said he's completely 'sold' on the idea ha! It's lovely really Grin.

leoniethelioness · 02/01/2016 17:24

What are they, handbags? Or is it a secret? Grin

Handbagsnhorses · 02/01/2016 17:21

We already have our names leonie... keen right hahaha

leoniethelioness · 02/01/2016 17:18

Dubbya, I'm a dry-athlete too! Poured my Bacardi down the sink (bottle was basically empty) and stashed the raspberry gin I got for Christmas in a cupboard. Rather hoping the dry spell lasts nine months and not just one!

Starky, I am from the first thread too. There's a few of us still about.

I'm on CD 12 - apparently fertile window starts tomorrow! We're making a big "effort" this month which is lots of fun. I didn't have much of a sex drive on the pill and haven't noticed much of an increase since I came off it but looking back at Ovia, there's definitely been one. The more sex I have, the more I want! We've DTD on CD 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 - just need to keep this up over the next ten days or so (just focused on FW last month so thinking I might have ovulated earlier or later as we got a BFN) and cross my fingers. DH is more keen to go for it this month as he didn't really want an August baby (he or she would have been born around 27 August if we'd conceived) and he was a bit worried that the due date would have been really close to when I'm entitled to enhanced maternity pay so it might have been a bit iffy.

Clearing out all of our old stuff is going really well - feel really pleased. Two rooms nearly complete so just the cupboard under the stairs to do and then the bathroom and bedrooms! I think it's going to take a few weekends yet but we should be ready to get the decorators in and new carpets down for the spring. Want to make the house really nice for a baby (but not too nice in case of accidents).

Still daydreaming about baby names... I keep changing my mind though! Have you given it any thought yet?

Dubbya · 02/01/2016 17:16

Fx for tomorrow poas Indi!

IndiX · 02/01/2016 17:13

That sounds lovely Dubbya, I could do with a massage and some R&R!
I'm also doing the dry January for health mainly but I'm hoping for the bfp tomorrow so it's a good excuse to say no to drink especially as I'm known to be quite the social butterfly/party girl
Did any of you grads recognise any physical symptoms before your bfp? I know you wouldn't exactly have a bump but was it just bloating and CM?

Dubbya · 02/01/2016 17:04

Handbags and Starky it's lovely to hear your positive stories about escaping horrible exes!

Indi those plans sound nice. I've got a spa day booked in for next weekend with a couple of girlfriends so that should be lovely. I'm having a massage so hopefully I'll be nice and relaxed just in time for ovulation.

Dubbya · 02/01/2016 16:59

Happy New Year everyone! I'm just doing a catch up on the tread - it moves so quickly!! Sorry for any af arrivals but here's to lots of baby dust on 2016!!

I'm doing Dryathlon as well (can't remember who asked?!), will be good fro ttc health and also a good excuse should I (everything crossed!) get my bfp (I wish, I wish!!).

It's CD10 for me. Have dtd on CD6 and 9 so far, need to up the frequency!! Looking out for ovulation signs now. Only have 4 opks so saving them for nearer Ovia's predicted ovulation date. Missing poas-ing a bit!

Mileymoocow · 02/01/2016 16:44

indi I have everything crossed for you, please let us know as soon as your piss has dried! Nothing exciting this weekend, working overtime to add to our baby funds! Which is slightly dull but exciting at the same time!

starky I got shit sick of hearing his shoulders are amazing. Look at his deltoids. I would love his glutes. He could do with working on his calves etc etc. I would prolapse if I even tried 100kg so well done you. I've done 130kg on the hacksquat but that's cheating as i'm CONSTANTLY reminded. Oh and he also loves to jump out and scare me. Wonder if they're related Wink

Pinklily1 · 02/01/2016 16:38

Bloody predictive text, *ovulation, not ovation.

Pinklily1 · 02/01/2016 16:38

Creamy CM is a good sign after ovation - I had it just before my bfp Grin

IndiX · 02/01/2016 16:24

You ladies are very strong and I'm so glad you are both happy, healthy and in a great place to have a baby.
Haha Starky my DH tells me things I've done/said in the night and I pretend to have completely forgotten.
I have just booked my first mini break for 2016 with a couple of friends in March, I really want to be preggo by then. Still feeling positive about tomorrow morning but not over excited and going to try not to feel down if it's a bfn. As DH is away I've just had a nice bath and painted my nails.
Anyone doing anything nice this weekend?

Handbagsnhorses · 02/01/2016 16:13

Awww thanks ni , yes it's amazing! It's amazing to have someone who makes sure I take care of myself. For the first time in a long time I don't feel alone ☺ and like starky said... it makes us ladies not to mess with 😉😂

StarkyTheDirewolf · 02/01/2016 16:08

Omg yes miley I will wake up and he'll be in bed next to me watching YouTube gym videos with grunting, sweaty men groaning over a Smith machine! I'm just like "you weirdo!" He's still proud of me for doing a set of 10 100 kg squats two years ago . I'm exactly the same with the diet/food issues too, so now if he's cutting, ill eat the same thing, but ill put sauce and salt on mine, and I'll have treats and biscuits if I fancy it, I refuse to ever get back into that restrictive mindset again! And don't even get me started on protein farts! I'm no angel but Jeeeeeez the man could blow a hole through sheet metal and murder a buffalo with the smell! Grin

ni as awful as it was, it's made me the woman stubborn harpy I am today! And as handbags says, walking away was the best thing I ever did! Ooh, tell me more about acupuncture, I'm intrigued! I feel positive you will be upduffed by March!

indi sometimes if he's annoyed me in the day I'll give him a kick in the nightime to get my own back. I owe him a "scare" from Christmas eve when he hid in the back garden and made me jump! He thinks I've forgotten, but oh no, I'm just biding my time! I'll get him when he's least expecting it! holding a grudge, me? he should learn that the elephant never forgets and a squealing wife shall prevail eventually! Muahahaha!

Doesn't matter how long it took handbags, just matters that you did it. Don't take away from that achievement! Must be lovely to be in a different situation and living in a totally different world while ttc now. Soak up all the lovely that you have built up around you!!

Handbagsnhorses · 02/01/2016 15:52

It just sucks it too me 8 years to pull myself together enough to get away. Best thing I ever did!!!
