Hi and welcome MissD ... don't worry, it was only yesterday I realise this thread for for people TTC #1 ... I already have 2 but I'm living dangerously and flouting the rules 😂😂

MissD1506 · 03/01/2016 10:24

Thanks mileymoocow Smile

I'm cycle 4 tcc#2... 7 mcs unfortunately, and one ds, who is now 16 months. As it's taken so many years to make our little family I'm getting on a bit, and find being over 40 it's much harder to get pg... Keeping positive though, and looking forward to poas on Wednesday this week! Eeek! X

Chocaholic88 · 03/01/2016 10:14

Sorry on the bfn indi ... keep positive... You're not out until AF arrives remember!!

Mileymoocow · 03/01/2016 10:03

Welcome MissD

Of course you're welcome. We all undescended only too well how much of a mindfuck tww is so we're all here for you Smile

What cycle are you on? I'm cycle 1 TTC #1

Turnertime14 · 03/01/2016 09:38

Sorry about the bfn indi

China we've done that this month - though now I'm in the 2ww I've lost the calmness and am going a little crazy..

MissD1506 · 03/01/2016 09:36

Hello all, is this thread open for newbies? Feeling a little lonely in this tcc business and good to hear others are sounding about as impatient as me... Going nuts with this tww!! Af due on Thursday and itching to poas!!

LittleBelle90 · 03/01/2016 09:24

Sorry about the bfn indi fx you get your bfp on Wednesday. Which test did you use?

Mileymoocow · 03/01/2016 08:08

Indi that's really shitty. But you're definitely not out until the fat lady makes you bleed through your nether regions. Still keeping FX for you.

starky he's very cute! We have a chihuahua in our estate and every time we pass my 6 stone dog hides behind me. It is incredibly embarrassing Blush he's so feisty.

Ni congrats on the progress! I find it's very difficult to achieve that when reasoning with a man Grin

IndiX · 03/01/2016 04:10

BFN ladies although I started to go a bit mad thinking there was a line there but had to have a word with myself and put the stick down!
Going to try again maybe Wednesday as that is when I'm actually due AF, really had a good feeling about this one but never mind. I guess I'm not out until the little bastard AF turns up

StarkyTheDirewolf · 03/01/2016 02:36

china welcome back! Was wondering where you were! How are you? I KNOW right!? Can't believe we're on page 2 of thread 4 already! And we're only 3 days into January! Epic win on the weight loss! Amazeballs and a round of applause for you! They did lie! It's all lies which, should I ever have a daughter, I will continue to perpetuate! that's most definetly a thing! I believe it's called "casually ttc" I have heard of this myth but I have not yet done it! Mind I'm STILL only on cycle 1!! I may have calmed down enough to properly enjoy ttc by the next cycle!

ChinaSorrows · 03/01/2016 02:27

China here!!!

Checking in, Starky these threads move faster than I can keep up with!

Age: 32
TTC #1 after years of the implant I came off in April and suddenly lost loads of weight. Win!
Cycle #2 (they lied! My whole 20's I was paranoid that a mere whiff of spunk would have me upduffed!)

DH and I are decidedly "not trying" we're just having lots of sex and no longer using condoms...
That's a thing, right?! Wink

StarkyTheDirewolf · 03/01/2016 02:18

Sometimes my internal lady part muscles spasm when I'm not expecting it during dtd wotsit that can twinge a bit but I've never had anything like you describe. Could be something to do with your body getting ready for af but honestly I'd go to see my gp, you shouldn't be having regular pain like that especially for up to an hour.

OP posts:
wotsitsmaltesers · 03/01/2016 01:51

Does anyone get really bad pain having sex about three/ four days before AF arrives. It happens for me every month as regular as clockwork and I just don't know what it is. It only happens in the build up to sex (sort TMI) and then I have to stop and it stays for about fifteen minutes to half an hour and then goes away. Would love to know if it is why I'm having trouble tic.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 03/01/2016 01:16

It will grow on you kat and you can hopefully find some lovely nicknames too, so even if baby is called for example 'Irene' you could have 'Ri-ri' etc. Oh lordy I had to do some ancient Greek translation at one point. It was...challenging! I had more of an idea where I was up to translating Latin wouldn't be able to do it now! but it's really very interesting, but super brain taxing!

OP posts:
KatOnATinRo0f · 03/01/2016 00:51

Orion is lovely and Andromache. :( my girl has to have the-most-common-name-in-greece-ever. And in England it's a rare and slightly gross/old lady name. Pfft. It will grow on me! I need to start learning some Ancient Greek... Trying to learn the language is hard enough though

StarkyTheDirewolf · 03/01/2016 00:36

I initially tried to explain, he got it, sort of, then I confused him by changing fertile weeks, now I just shout up to him "get your cock out babe and ill bring you a coffee!" Grin

I think af is going to come early, having some very strong af style cramps, which is, I suppose a good thing if I have a shorter cycle this month!

OP posts:
Ni4444 · 03/01/2016 00:33

Oh bless Stark it's so funny watching them trying to make sense of Reproduction 101! I showed him my calendar on Ovia "What does that green mean?"
"It's my fertile week!"
"Week? I thought there was only one day you could get pregnant?"
"No darling. Sperm live up to 5 days, eggs up to 1 day so about 6 fertile days"
Silence. Then: "Does that mean we have to have sex every day that week?!"

Selective hearing...I have explained it all to him numerous times...he'll get there eventually!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 03/01/2016 00:27

Progress indeed ni and excellent progress at that! I think Dh had a moment of excitement when I bought the frers the other day, we were at my dps and he whispered "did you do one yet?" When I told him no he did a little smile and went "plenty of time yet, it'll be exciting" he doesn't completely understand the cycle thing but he knows I have a long one so I think he's a but impatient to know! He's not the only bloody one! Grin

Ni4444 · 03/01/2016 00:18

Good luck tomorrow Indi

Loving the names ladies. We hadn't made a list (OH doesn't see the point in it until we know I'm pregnant! He doesn't want to get too excited in case it doesn't happen. He couldn't wait to get out of a baby shop today after buying a present for his friends new baby. I was all "ooh let's see how much moses baskets cost...ooh prams..! ) but seeing you all discussing it I brought it back up with him and we at least finally agreed the surname issue! Both surnames, no hyphen. This is big progress!! We'd both been avoiding the conversation since we disagreed about it last time.

Progress Grin

StarkyTheDirewolf · 03/01/2016 00:14

I studied Greek/Roman mythology/politics and Latin for years at secondary and a-level. But it's always been something I've loved.

I love Leonides and Astyonax vetoed by dh for sounding like cleaning product apparently! And probably not appropriate due to the story. I know an Apollo and would totally use Orion or Andromache but they wouldn't necessarily work with our surname.

I can get away with using Welsh names, but because of where we live, they'd have to be anglicised bastardised probably with tweaked spellings otherwise the poor kid would spend years correcting people!

KatOnATinRo0f · 03/01/2016 00:00

I've already said before I'm not fussed on the names I have to give my kids. My husband is greek so the names have to be after his parents. I dream of all the wonderful names I could use (eg Athina, Persephone... Any reason you have so many greek names on your list??) and also I love andromeda and pandora for girls, Apollo or Leonidas for boys. There are so many I love I could hardly choose so maybe it's for the best!!

Pre-greek-husband I loved Sebastian for a boy x

Chocaholic88 · 02/01/2016 23:01

It absolutely gutted me. Worst part is he'd been with me through all the crap with my ex too. Plus it was awful because he was actually at one of my best friends house whose husband let him out by accident :( they haven't forgiven themselves but I can't blame them. It was just shitty luck :( poor little guy was knocked out by the impact so never felt any pain thank God. Miss his crazy ass but glad he didn't suffer ❤❤ (sorry for the emotional outburst ladies!)

Turnertime14 · 02/01/2016 23:00

Good luck for tomorrow indi - fingers crossed!!!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 02/01/2016 22:58

Oh god choc I just genuinely teared up. I'm so sorry. I think my heart would break forever if anything happened to my fur babies! 😢 they are such funny little buggers, tiny but mighty! And such amazing personalities! All mine are so different!

bunch ooh they're lovely names! We love Lachlan too.
