Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain anything but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

And our most recent thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2480630-So-its-John-Wayne-vs-Les-Dawson-in-The-Great-British-Pee-Off-and-Prtys-judging-get-ready-to-be-basted-lovelies?pg=1&order=

We are symptoms spotters extraordinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

I hope you get a BFP Prty! But I agree ... don't test before Christmas ... I'm definitely not as I'd like to enjoy Christmas with the hope that I might be pregnant!

PrtyPsn · 23/12/2015 18:49

Come on pantz and pirsy you're not out yet, lovelies!!
DBAFD 4 if you ask me, 6 if you're backing the app... feeling pretty symptomless to be honest, trying not to test too early - think it would be to devastating to get a BFN before (or on!) Christmas day

OP posts:
Pirsy1 · 23/12/2015 18:24

Me Pantz! I'm trying to be all nonchalant but really I'm like 'what day is it ... should I test?!' I really need to rein it in because I had a meltdown last month and I think my husband will despair of me if I do it again. Deep down I think I know I'm probably not pregnant this month but can't help hoping!

Also totally know what you mean about the tentative wiping and dreading what you're going to find.

I'm feeling very bloated ... usually a sign AF is coming.

I hope your cramps are something exciting like implantation and not AF!

BaggyPantz · 23/12/2015 17:42

Anyone else kid themselves and think they're going to try and be cool about the TWW, but actually get a little crazier with each passing day...?

Had cramps for the last half an hour (and on and off lightly over the past couple of days), and I'm CD 27 but mine are usually 33-35 days. Each time I go for a wee I'm paranoid about what I might find when I wipe!!

Last time I had cramps early, I had a stupidly heavy AF a week later.

SharyBobbins · 23/12/2015 10:28

I'm okay thanks Poppy just still being really tentative. If I go from conception date I'm currently 5+6. I've booked a reassurance scan for mid-January. I'm just praying I've got a sticky one & it's in the right place Xmas Confused

neetie1 · 23/12/2015 10:19

Anywhere between 23 and 27 days so a little early I guess for period cramps but not sure

BaggyPantz · 23/12/2015 09:50

neetie how long are your cycles? If you're only on 21, cramping could be a good thing? I've had light dull cramps sporadically over the last couple of days. AF not due for a week or so.

neetie1 · 23/12/2015 08:12

Temp dipped slightly this morning, slight cramping so not sure about this month...not sure I feel very christmassy now :(

glitterpoppy · 23/12/2015 07:46

Thanks shary it helps to hear your lovely positive news Xmas Grin how're you? Last cycle was 112 days and I'm on day 92 of this one.. I'm hoping they are gradually going to get smaller as that's just too long. The doctor says I have to go back though in a month if I haven't started AF as he may need to give me something to force it. FX it happens before then!!

SharyBobbins · 22/12/2015 22:27

Twins!! Congratulations Lou!!

Poppy I was referred to a gynaecologist to test for PCOS too, my next appointment was due to be a internal scan to diagnose it but I got my BFP so it's been cancelled. I'm convinced I've got PCOS but I'm not sure what will happen now about diagnosing it. I does go to show though that even with irregular cycles (my last one was 55 days) a BFP is still possible. Wishing you lots of luck xx

glitterpoppy · 22/12/2015 21:12

Ah thanks pirsy your words have made me feel so much better!! Flowers Flowers much appreciated!!

Pirsy1 · 22/12/2015 19:12

Poppy I have PCOS. It is very very common. It can cause problems with ovulation and many women don't know they have it until they stop taking hormonal contraception and find they are not having periods very often. If you are overweight they will ask you to lose weight as sometimes that can restore ovulation, but if your BMI is normal then you don't need to do this, and lots of slim women have PCOS. Don't worry too much there are medications that they can give to induce ovulation and lots of women with PCOS have babies.

glitterpoppy · 22/12/2015 17:33

Managed to get an appointment at the doctors and they are referring my to a gynaecologist but think I have PCOS. Feel relieved I know what's going on but still anxious.. Anyone else have this or know much about it?

neetie1 · 22/12/2015 08:33

Morning, looks like we will all be testing around the same time, af due on 29th ish. This time last month my temp dipped big time but it's stayed up at 36.7 today so pleased about that. Have a slight sicky feeling but not reading too much into it, has slight indigestion in the night too. Day 20 of cycle today and 7dpo.

Pirsy1 · 22/12/2015 07:48

That is progress poppy ... the 5th Jan isn't too too far away even if you have to wait until then and the time will go quickly with Christmas and NY.

I am not holding out too much hope this month, I was too optimistic last month and it was hard to deal with when I wasn't pregnant. I will definitely be having a glass of champagne at Christmas.

glitterpoppy · 21/12/2015 22:12

Congrats lou fab news!! Xmas Grin

After phoning the docs this morning and them not having my scan results, then having a major strop about it.. They phoned me back and said they'd now got them and asked me to book in to discuss. The next prebookable appointment is 5th January! Although they have told me to ring everyday and see if I can get one on the day...

BaggyPantz · 21/12/2015 20:32

pirsy I totally know what you mean. Amazing how in tune with our bodies we become once TTC. I'm pretty certain 'the switch' happens almost instantaneously: hair up, makeup off, pjs on, food in, sexiness out!

I even told OH at the end of my fertile window "you're off the hook now!" So romantic...

prty and pirsy Fxd you both get BFP's to celebrate before the new year!

Pirsy1 · 21/12/2015 20:13

Wow twins!! Congrats Lou.

I am so excited for Christmas now ... but I've got toothache - it's not too bad at the mo and luckily I have managed to get an appointment at the dentists for Christmas Eve so I'm hoping it's not going to ruin my time off!

Think AF is due around the 28th, although that's a total guess to be honest. Think I have ovulated though because I feel like the hormones have changed if you know what I mean?!

PrtyPsn · 21/12/2015 20:08

kitten it's perfectly normal to see a line and get excited - it's what we are aiming for and every one of us would do the same. I think a more relaxed month might do you good :)

MrsKittenPie · 21/12/2015 19:53

Hi everyone. Marking my place on the new thread, excellent title prty.
Congratulations on the news of twins lou
baggy - don't feel bad, I'm finding it impossible to be happy when there are baby bombs - I know that makes me a bitch but I'm sick and tired of it not happening for us and yet it happens for every other person we know.
Fingers crossed for some bfps soon here, I would love to join in the positivity but I'm struggling to be positive myself at the moment. I've decided not to bother temping this month and try to switch off from thoughts of ttc, I'm tired and fed up, getting that positive test to turn to nothing has really knocked it out of me. Thanks for all your lovely comments - I feel like such an idiot though for getting so excited

PrtyPsn · 21/12/2015 18:00

pantz we've all been there, it's hard to be happy for them when you're struggling so much, doesn't make you a bad person x
Think I'm imagining my sore boobs or the constant prodding is making them sore!!

OP posts:
BaggyPantz · 21/12/2015 17:03

Wow twins! Congrats!

Ugh baby bomb from a pal, 2nd child. Came off the pill a week before wedding...conceived on honeymoon. HOW?? I mean I know it's obviously possible. FFS it took me over a year for AF to return then 6 months for it to regulate.

I really need to be able to be happy for friends, don't I. Rant over.

Boobies starting to get a little tender which is a good sign that I've Ov'd. Have had a couple of an-ovs where I've had no pms symptoms and a super light AF, and thought it was happening again this cycle.

PrtyPsn · 21/12/2015 16:32

Wow lou that's amazing!!!! Such fabulous news but in guessing it was a huge shock!!
I'm being a negative nancy until Christmas Eve I'm afraid, baby relax until everything is done... due to test around 27th too!

Lou13e · 21/12/2015 16:13

Yippee to a new thread for me to stalk. Poppy, hope you get answers soon. Prty - aww I'm pleased you remembered me, I'm fine thanks however (warning - baby bomb type thing coming up), I got the shock of my life at first scan as was told I'm expecting twins! It was a HUGE shock but we have got use to the idea now. Sorry if I'm coming across as insensitive, please don't see me as complaining as I'm not, I feel v blessed (but shocked). Am keeping my fingers crossed for all you lovely ladies to get your bfps soon but in the mean time.. Enjoy the booze, blue cheese and pate over Christmas before you'll be banned from such yumness xx

MrsFlowers82 · 21/12/2015 08:43

New Fred!! Love the name Prty!

Welcome Pantz!

And yes Glitter I am with you in being a negative Nancy! This thread and year is going to be lucky for us all! Grin
