Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain anything but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

And our most recent thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2480630-So-its-John-Wayne-vs-Les-Dawson-in-The-Great-British-Pee-Off-and-Prtys-judging-get-ready-to-be-basted-lovelies?pg=1&order=

We are symptoms spotters extraordinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

Snowy that made me laugh out loud!

Hippy its me expecting the scan pic, nothing yet so waiting to be baby-bombed spectacularly...

I hope the weird AF sorts itself out!

I have a Drs app next Monday now. Frustrating but even if she hadn't cancelled I would have still had to go back for day 21 bloods (as AF was late I think I have totally miscalculated). Day 2 bloods being done tomorrow (that will be second day of full flow so hopefully is OK). At least things are moving!

snowy1982 · 26/01/2016 13:57

I'm not all positive, i've had my moments of sobbing in the toilet at work and i know once i get home to see DH i'll do it again. But i just keep telling myself that there is no point in it, my sobbing won't make AF go away so may as well try start thinking about the next time and getting myself prepared

hippybird · 26/01/2016 13:40

Hi all!
Flowers that is SO annoying about the docs!! I really feel for you. Do you know when you can expect to hear?
Snowy so sorry about blummin AFs arrival! You're being so great about it! I need to tap a bit of that positivity! And I agree with mrs it can help to plan - ok, what will I do differently for next cycle. What can I do better...
Kitten hope the scan pic goes ok. Take a deep breath, and channel your fave actress!!
I'm having a very frustrating start to my period. I've basically had very light spotting, which isn't leading to anything. And it's brown and mucus-y, which I feel is weird, but maybe it's normal. I can never remember!! It's weird, as I should have come on yesterday, as I'm pretty sure I ovulated on the 10th according to my temps. I just want it to come now. I've got horrid backache, and my hormones have been all over the place since Saturday. Could it really be the moon f*^%ing with our cycles this month?
Prty - hope you're ok' I know you're in the dreaded DBAFD phase!!

snowy1982 · 26/01/2016 13:30

I am just back from my monthly 'I am barren' trip to boots, i.e. stocking up on OPK's, sanitary towels and folic acid (this is the only type of shopping i do not like). Decided to give EPO a try this month and got DH some wellman vitamins, as they say, every little helps.

neetie I have told DH that if the baby making does not work for us i am starting a rescue shelter Grin

MrsKittenPie · 26/01/2016 13:09

mrs - big hugs, hope you are coping okay getting the scan pic, I'm exactly the same - I'm a bitter and jealous cow too and can't deny it any longer. At least we can vent here

neetie1 · 26/01/2016 12:34

I'm the same snowy just coming up to a year trying myself. My two dogs keep me going but I think if we were told we couldn't have kids a puppy would come along lol

MrsFlowers82 · 26/01/2016 11:52

I have only HEARD good things about acupuncture Snowy!! But figure it is worth a shot.

I am nervously awaiting colleague sending me scan photo... I am dreading it. Knowing my recent luck she is probably having quintuplets or some super-human, amazing, miracle baby. Debating on whether I can just ignore the message and ignore her for the rest of the week.

Yes. My name is Flowers and I am a bitter and jealous cow Blush

snowy1982 · 26/01/2016 10:00

Think i'll have to take a look for acupuncture local to me, it seems a lot of you have good things to say about it

MrsFlowers82 · 26/01/2016 09:50

Loving the enforced positivity ladies!

FuzzyOwl · 26/01/2016 09:43

Thank you MrsFlowers.

Sorry to hear that Snowy. Sad

MrsKittenPie · 26/01/2016 09:33

snowy - sorry to hear of af Sad, lots of Cake for you. Positive thoughts are good, I've been ttc a long time too and it's gutting but I find thinking of what I can do differently can sometimes help. I'm already thinking of next cycle with my acupuncture.

snowy1982 · 26/01/2016 09:04

Well it's sort of enforced positivity. I keep telling myself to think positive in the hope that it will happen. What else can I do though, I've been TTC for over a year now, if I allowed myself to get down every time AF arrived I would have given up by now and got another puppy (PS puppy/doggy hugs are just what's needed when AF arrives, my 2 boys cheered me up rightly this morning)

glitterpoppy · 26/01/2016 07:36

Sorry to here that snowy, loving the positivity though. I think I need to take a leaf out of your book!

Im feeling very headachey this morning Confused

MrsFlowers82 · 26/01/2016 07:22

Where is Prty?! Seems like we haven't heard from her in a while?

MrsFlowers82 · 26/01/2016 07:21

I'm OK thanks Fuzzy! Keeping FX for you that no symptoms is a good sign!

Sorry Snowy Cake Agree that's a great way to look at it, any progress is good and it's great news about your bloods.

snowy1982 · 26/01/2016 06:06

Wel ladies, regular as clockwork I woke up this morning to find AF had arrived, gutted is not the word Sad. But trying to stay positive and thinking about the fact that I got my blood test results back and they were all ok and that DH had his initial appointment yesterday to arrange his tests, so although we are not were we want to be, we are making some sort of progress.

FuzzyOwl · 25/01/2016 23:17

Just been catching up.

Sorry to hear what you have been through Neetie and MrsFlowers. I hope the meditation helps you.

AF is due in a couple of days but I haven't even been able to imagine any symptoms so not holding out much hope.

MrsFlowers82 · 25/01/2016 22:31

Hey Neetie Yeh, I have a paid for subscription to mine now, it's about £8 a month but I like guided meditation and the app has lots of different affirmations and scenarios. It's called Calm and you can do a seven day mindfulness course first which is free (The Seven Days of Calm). Well worth it as an introductory trial to see how you get on. Sure it's not for everyone but I really enjoy it and like the principles ️xxX

neetie1 · 25/01/2016 22:21

flowers which app did you get I downloaded one but you only get one bit free the rest you have to pay for

MrsKittenPie · 25/01/2016 19:50

mrs - loving the positivity! Let me know how you get on with the consultation - I'm waiting for them to ring me about mine. Good news about af too!

MrsKittenPie · 25/01/2016 19:48

neetie - so sorry to hear you've had such a bad day. Sometimes it does hit you harder than others. i agree it is impossible to switch off from it, I tried to be casual last month which really didn't work at all.
mrsflowers - what an awful day for you Sad. Just try and get through the whole scan pic débâcle tomorrow- I know it'll be hard, I always have to go and have a good cry when faced with rubbish like that.
pirsy - so lovely to have you back!
hippy - that sounds good not to stress about everything Smile

neetie1 · 25/01/2016 19:27

yay flowers pleased for you

I have downloaded that app Calm will give it a go. I have baby making bible so might re look at that as well.

MrsFlowers82 · 25/01/2016 19:12

Hi Neetie it's so fecking hard isn't it lovely? Big hugs. We are all here and we all understand. I am sick of work and my colleague and know it's only going to get worse! It's so so tough. Make sure you vent on here and take time to relax and look after yourself.

I also echo Hippy - I meditate each day. There is an app called Calm that I started using about a year ago and found to be really helpful and a good starting point. I am sure even just having ten or twenty minutes a day to breathe and quiet the mind is a good thing, even if mine is straight back in gear when I'm done!

In other news AF is here!!!! Whooooooooo hoo! Excluding last week and the fact I was six days late, it means I have pretty much started straight away with less than a day spotting beforehand. I am counting this as a good thing. It lso means I can go and do next lot of bloods. I have also ordered The Baby Making Bible and booked an acupuncture consultation on Monday! I am going to relax and keep calm and BE POSITIVE! Positive, thoughts positive action equals positive results!

neetie1 · 25/01/2016 18:47

Thanks x

hippybird · 25/01/2016 18:43

So sorry! It is difficult not to worry, or think about it. I know, that's what everyone says, and thinks, about people who have been TTC for a while, and not getting anywhere! I confess I was guilty of thinking the same about people I knew who were trying for a while. But now I'm in that situation, I can see that it's easier said than done!
Try not to worry about your age. I know lots of people that have had kids in their 40s. It is definitely possible. Try and have some faith, if you can that it will happen.
I found it really helpful when a friend said to me the other day (after me saying to her I was struggling not to obsess), to set yourself a goal a bit further ahead. Like, I will be pregnant by the summer, rather than month by month. That's what I try and do. And, as I've said, I know it's easier said than done, but I do think it doesn't help if you're stressing about every little symptom.
I'm sure that's why my period is failing to materialize today, because i'm all worked up about it.
I find meditation really helps. And breathing techniques.
Hugs to you! I hope you know I'm not saying any of this to not be sympathetic. I'm deeply sympathetic, and I think we're all in the same boat!
