Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain anything but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

And our most recent thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2480630-So-its-John-Wayne-vs-Les-Dawson-in-The-Great-British-Pee-Off-and-Prtys-judging-get-ready-to-be-basted-lovelies?pg=1&order=

We are symptoms spotters extraordinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

snowy1982 · 27/01/2016 20:23

prty hope your feeling better soon

FuzzyOwl · 27/01/2016 19:54

Glad your fur baby is ok Flowers.

So sorry to hear that Prty but I think you did the right thing by declining the medication knowing that you could be pregnant. Really hope the pain eases soon for you.

AF was due today but hasn't arrived. Did have a bit of brown mucus spotting earlier and a massive bfn, so I am sure I will be starting cycle six tomorrow.

Hope everyone is ok.

PrtyPsn · 27/01/2016 19:16

Hi guys, sorry for my absence (if you missed me, that is! If not then just hi!)
Been really quite ill, not TTC related but been in some really extreme physical pain the last few days. Had quite a battle with medical staff today who wanted to prescribe me so heavy duty pain relief, they seemed to think I was being ridiculous refusing it because I'm two days away from AF being due and I don't want to risk it as the meds aren't really suitable for pregnancy (but they argued that I'm possibly not even pregnant)
Got home feeling delayed, belittled and still in pain.
Sat on the loo waiting for my bath to fill up and decided I would try swabbing for the first time... pink cm.
So now I know AF is on route and I'm in awful pain without the medication I could have/should have got today. Just fucking brilliant. Pity party for Prty :(
I will try to catch up on posts as soon as I can, lovelies x

snowy - how frustrating, it seems ttc always involves a lot of waiting. Hopefully you'll get your bfp way before April anyway Smile
Cd11 here - just started on opks and although not positive yet it's quite dark tonight is the last chance for basting then dh on late shifts for 4 nights Sad so will probably miss it. Surely there should be ttc leave from work?! Timing is vital!

snowy1982 · 27/01/2016 17:16

glitter i don't know if they do that, I'll have to find out. Although DH seems to have the magic touch when it comes to getting appointments so I'll make him do it Smile

glitterpoppy · 27/01/2016 15:06

Hi all, hippy you actually mirrored how I'm feeling.. Awful backache and headache that's on and off and really generally just off.. No AF yet though! AFD10 (don't know if I've made that code up?!)

Glad fur baby is ok flowers

Glad to hear you're getting things sorted snowy that's quite a wait though!! Will your doctors not allow you to ring in and try and get in earlier after your results? My doctors have prebookable appointments in which it can take about 2 weeks, but can ring on the day and get in either that day or day after.

snowy1982 · 27/01/2016 13:26

Meant to add this earlier - DH had his doctors appointment on Monday to tell him procedure for getting SA. He has to 'produce' his sample and then leave it at the lab within 1 hr, then when results come back we are to make a joint appointment with doctor. So he phoned the lab yesterday to select his day, earliest they can take him is 22nd Feb, then i'd imagine it will be at least 1 week until results get back, then our docs tend to have a 6 week waiting list for appointments. Could actually be as late as mid-April before we even speak to someone about the next stage, its very frustrating

MrsKittenPie · 27/01/2016 13:10

mrs - glad fur baby is good but they are always expensive when ill!!
Yes I think it would be fine to go tomorrow- I thought it was cd3 anyway? But between 1 and 5 rings a bell.

snowy1982 · 27/01/2016 13:09

Flowers when i was getting my bloods done i was told day 21 and day 2 or 3 so i think tomorrow would be fine, though you might want to give your practice a ring to double check

MrsFlowers82 · 27/01/2016 12:40

Sorry Hippy we must posted at the same time this morning so forgive me trying to make you POAS again! I am sorry its AF but pleased you can move forwards.

Fur baby is fine Kitten! Just bloody expensive!

Here's a question - my Dr said to get blood tests 7 days before AF (so that's effectively CD21 even though it isn't in my cycle) and the day of AF. Today would have been CD2 and I have missedmy chance to go to the clinic - do you think it will be OK to go tomorrow? I am sure I have read that it can be done between CD1-5?

MrsKittenPie · 27/01/2016 12:21

hippy - sorry that it was af in the end but at least now you can concentrate on this new cycle. The af bitch does that to me some months too and I start to think what if even though I know it's too good to be true.
mrs - how's your fur baby?

MrsFlowers82 · 27/01/2016 07:52

Thanks Hippy. Mine has recommended weekly and also said she could do a discounted rate. I have a consultation on Monday and will decide then after chatting with them in more detail.

Can you test again tomorrow or Friday AM with FMU? That is I the spotting continues?

Sadly for me I haven't been able to get to my blood clinic this morning - I am currently on route to the vets with a poorly fur baby! Officially giving up on this month!

hippybird · 27/01/2016 07:51

Well, writing that was obviously cathartic! Got bright red blood now. Literally, woke up to same brown, and then half an hour later or so, here we go. Even writing all of the above, I didn't really believe I was pregnant, because of the BFNs. I'm actually quite relieved, just want to get on with my next cycle, make sure we DTD at the right time, I want to work on making my temps lower during the follicular phase, and try and make this cycle a good 'un! And no tests and no symptom spotting!! Also, I've been worrying that exercise, running etc, will impede TTC, but it's not made any difference, so I'm going to start running again and get a bit fitter!! So sorry to clog up the thread this morning with 3 posts in a row!!

hippybird · 27/01/2016 07:38

I also don't feel 'due' any more, just that weird feeling. Headache, backache, and have been feeling nauseous on way to work (although I do tend to randomly get that).

hippybird · 27/01/2016 07:36

Hi all - just checking in this morning. Looks like this is the acupuncture month! Somebody asked me how often I do it... I started off weekly, but after 2 months of that, it was becoming cripplingly expensive, so I've gone down to fortnightly, which is easier, plus, she's given me a bit if a discount, after I mentioned I was struggling to pay. I do think it's worth doing weekly for a bit, as you probably need it more intensely first. But talk to your acupuncturist!
I'm seeing mine on Friday, and I cannot WAIT!! I'm still just getting brown spotting. I know, so far so normal, except that it feels different this month. Firstly, if I did ovulate this month, it would have been on the CD10, according to my temps, now it is CD 26, and I would have been due on CD24 (14day Luteal phase always), so I am effectively 2 days late, as brown discharge doesn't count as a period. Also, I had that 'implantation dip', when I also had a slight tinge on the tissue, then I has such awful PMT at the weekend, which went from Monday, when the spotting started, plus I've got the worst backache ever, have had an awful headache on and off for about a week, and just feeling off. But... You know what's coming...! I did a test yesterday evening and got a bfn! So frustrating!
I've just read threads where people have been in the same situation as me, even had BFNs, but ended up being preggers, but I know I shouldn't get my hopes up. Help!! I just want it to come now!! I hate being in limbo!
Prty hope you're ok!!

MrsKittenPie · 26/01/2016 22:14

Thanks mrs, that's a nice way to look at it x
snowy - glad you've bounced back okay Smile, that's a good way to look at it.
I've just confirmed my acupuncture appointment for 15th February which is great timing as af will arrive the 12th so hopefully it will be early enough in the cycle to do something! Oh and I promise not to be posting any photos of tests this month and getting excited for nothing - in fact I am not going to even test - saving money for the acupuncture!

snowy1982 · 26/01/2016 21:58

kitten yeah I'm grand tonight, been at this a long time so I bounce back pretty quick Smile. But seriously, I'm at the stage where after the dreaded 2WW, if AF does turn up once I get over the initial gut wrenching disappointment, I relax and make the most of a week without OPK's and frantically DTD

MrsFlowers82 · 26/01/2016 21:51

Don't feel bad Kitten. I think it's a sign of determination and a sign that you will be a good mum who stops at nothing and no cost Wink

I'm also worried about our Prty Hmm Where are you lovely? Xxx

MrsKittenPie · 26/01/2016 21:39

prty - are you okay?

MrsKittenPie · 26/01/2016 21:37

glitter - yes definitely join mrs and me in our bitter anti pregnant colleagues club Smile
mrs I honestly would have done exactly the same as you, don't feel bad. I'm sick of having to pretend to be nice to pregnant women when I'm so upset about my failure. I do the crying in toilets thing on a regular basis!
snowy - hope you're okay tonight. I hate that 'I am barren' shopping trip too - I go from buying pregnancy tests one day to buying all that crap the next, it's soul destroying.
Had a bit of a meltdown today just got really angry with myself. Think it's because I was trying to work out how to pay for my acupuncture then was angry that I've had to resort to paying all that money out for trying to conceive - something millions of women achieve all the time and I can't do it Angry

MrsFlowers82 · 26/01/2016 17:15

The scan picture hasn't been sent! She actually sent a work related email to which I replied briefly and didn't ask or make any small talk. I know its rude but I just can't take her happiness when I feel so crappy. I am thinking maybe I will just tell her how I really feel... Either I grow a pair and be honest or I avoid her and cry in the toilets for the next five months... Blush

FUZZY I THOUGHT I WAS BAD!!! I have three cats! Grin But agree with you and Neetie fur babies are an invaluable support.

Crossing all for you Fuzzy and hoping you get back to normal soon Hippy!

Glitter you can join me and Kitten in our bitter, bashing anti-pregnant colleagues club Wink

FuzzyOwl · 26/01/2016 16:03

Hope seeing the scan picture was bearable MrsFlowers and don't worry, I am a bitter and jealous cow too so don't think you are alone. I think it is a very normal response and reaction and I need to keep telling myself that

neetie I have seven cats. Do you think there is a link?! Blush At least I have managed to have a DC although I am worried that I will turn into the local pet rescue centre if I don't have another one.

snowy I hate that shopping too. I do have a good view of EPO and acupuncture though. The time I got pregnant with my DC was when I was taking 3000mg of EPO for the first half of my cycle and having regular acupuncture as well as taking Chinese herbs. No idea if it actually did anything but I definitely had a child afterwards.

Sorry you are having such a bad day in work glitter.

I have decided to start acupuncture again from next cycle and if I still haven't conceived by March, I will see my doctor. AF is due tomorrow and I don't have a single pregnancy related symptom, so holding out no real hope at all.

hippybird · 26/01/2016 15:45

Sorry Flowers I keep getting you muddled up with the other mrs!! Blush
Still just having my frustrating spotting! I know when I'm in full flow I'll long to have the spotting back! But still. It is frustrating!

glitterpoppy · 26/01/2016 14:45

Oh flowers I hope your next appointment goes ok, least you're booked in.

hippie hope you're ok!

snowy you need Chocolate Cake bless you.

My headache isn't as bad now but have afew cramp type things.. Thinking maybe ovulation pains? Would I still get them? I've gone abit brain dead today! Both colleagues have been in work today who are newly back from maternity.. Jesus, I'm going to lose it soon!! One of them is now saying she'll think she will have another at the end of the year or next year.... I bet she'll still beat me to it Angry
