Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain anything but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

And our most recent thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2480630-So-its-John-Wayne-vs-Les-Dawson-in-The-Great-British-Pee-Off-and-Prtys-judging-get-ready-to-be-basted-lovelies?pg=1&order=

We are symptoms spotters extraordinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

prty it's so much easier for the men folk to get tested though, 1 sample and that's it, there's so many more tests for us to go through, it's easier to rule out problems with them before moving on to the other tests

PrtyPsn · 21/02/2016 16:21

Oooo glitter keep us posted
I haven't spoke to OH about the possibility of him being tested... I'm fairly sure the problem lies with me... then sometimes I think maybe there isn't a problem - the early mc/late chemical last year shows that we can get pg... it's all so confusing!

OP posts:
snowy1982 · 21/02/2016 15:27

glitter we have it to do at home too, but his appointment to drop it in is for tomorrow morning.

prty you're right, I'm not out until she shows up, but am not getting my hopes up this month, the cramping is a fairly good sign she is on her way

glitterpoppy · 21/02/2016 15:19

Hi all, have had abit of cramping today and just noticed a slight orange / red tinge when I went to the toilet.. I think AF is FINALLY on its way!
My DH has to do his sample too soon snowy, we've got it at home for him to do.

Keep your chin up kitten it's always worth DTD, it just takes that 1 time, that's what I keep saying anyway!

FX for you this time prty

PrtyPsn · 21/02/2016 12:28

Still holding out hope for you snowy you're not out til she shows!
kitten there is lots of point to DTD, it may feel like nothing's happening but it only takes that one time, lovely x
I'm a 32 day cycle so a good 10 days til AF is due... I did say I wouldn't test until I'm late but might see how I feel next weekend

OP posts:
snowy1982 · 21/02/2016 11:55

CD 27 here but doubt there'll be any testing this month. Have had some cramping the last couple days so think AF is imminent (although have also had a dodgy tummy last couple days so that could explain the cramping). In other news DH is leaving his sample in for testing tomorrow morning so should have news on that front soon

MrsKittenPie · 21/02/2016 11:31

hippy - totally understand what you mean. It's horrible putting our lives on hold for ttc and it gets me down too. I think the putting less pressure on yourself thing is definitely a good thing, I'm going to try that too.
prty- tww always drags doesn't it?! Hope you can distract yourself a bit.
Anyone testing soon? We could do with some lovely bfp pics to keep us going.
Cd10 here - bboooorrrriiinngggggg. Have been away from dh for a few days and get back tomorrow so the dtd begins - what's the point though really. Though got my second acupuncture session on Thursday which I'm looking forward to.

PrtyPsn · 21/02/2016 11:18

hippy that sounds like it was a tough time, I can understand your reluctance - it's a fine balance and only you can decide what's best for you x
CD23 for me, TWW is dragging!! Seem to have a lot of CM for the past few days and some bloating but very much doubt these are any kind of symptom!

hippybird · 20/02/2016 14:54

Thanks prty and snowy!! I think you're right! Being a hippybird, I like to keep things natural, and I feel really burned by what happened with my hips (long story short, developed acute pain syndrome in both hips, was put on medication For epilepsy, which works with nerve pain, which helped, but I became medically addicted, and couldn't come off for ages, and then had to wean myself off veeeerrrryyy slowly. That was why we didn't try for more after our ds). But you're right, I'll go to the docs this month, and get the ball rolling!
I think what's getting me down is that I feel like I've been putting my life on hold for this! I know you've all talked about that problem.
Travelling back from my sis - who's life as so hectic, with 3 already, and another on the way, I've got that feeling you get on holiday sometimes - I need to sort my life out a bit. No more putting things on hold. I'm going to get on with my life, keep busy with other things, and just try to be less obsessed with this TTC. I'll still stay on here, but am going to try and put less pressure on myself.

snowy1982 · 20/02/2016 08:16

hippy I know how you feel. I stopped contraception 18 months ago and decided to just let nature take its course for the first few months or so, but no joy. For about 12 months we have been actively trying and still no joy. I was reluctant to seek medical intervention but I gave in and have started that process, unfortunately some of us just need that extra help Sad

PrtyPsn · 20/02/2016 07:38

Aww hippy sorry AF ruined your weekend :( I know what you mean about wanting it to happen naturally but I think there comes a point when you have to speak to a medical professional - with all the will (and DTD) in the world none of us could overcome a medical issue that needs attention, we wouldn't be walking around on a broken leg thinking the more we walked the better it will get (im not saying you do have any issues that will require medical attention, just trying to highlight why I think it's best to get checked)

hippybird · 19/02/2016 23:06

Hi all! I'm currently at my sisters, who is 20 weeks - do you remember I told about her baby bomb a few cycles ago. I was due tomorrow, and just felt like this could be our month. I always feel like that, I know, but this month felt to me like, if it wasn't 'the one', then maybe it's just not going to happen. Then, sure enough, a day early today, here she is, the fucker!!
Now I'm just not sure what to feel, or do. I'm just really sad that I just don't think it's going to happen for us! I had the coil out two years ago, and although we've not been actively 'trying' that whole time, we've been using no contraception, and we're trying to be 'relaxed'. The last 6 months or so, we've been more actively trying, and still nothing!
I suppose I should go to the docs - we should - but I just feel weird about medical intervention, I don't know why! I want it to happen naturally.
Anyway, sorry to just come on here and rant about myself, and not comment on anything from you guys. Just having a pity party here! Sad

FuzzyOwl · 19/02/2016 22:56

My womb tilts backwards neetie but I have still managed to get pregnant before.

Pleased your acupuncture is going well Kitten.

I get horrific ovulation pains thanks to endometriosis and it can last half an hour or so or several hours. The best way to describe it is a really intense, burning stitch that goes all the way down my hip. Annoyingly it can be too painful to DTD when it happened which really makes ttc more difficult than it already is.

snowy1982 · 19/02/2016 13:16

Thanks prty, time will soon tell

PrtyPsn · 19/02/2016 13:04

Awww snowy it's not over yet, FXd lovely xx

CD 25 out of 28 - have managed to keep myself relatively calm this cycle, but i think that's about to fly out the window big time. Also beginning to experience some tell tale pains Sad

PrtyPsn · 19/02/2016 12:07

Hi glitter sounds like you have had a busy week, and another to come!
Glad you're feeling better today neetie
Im CD 22 of 32 so 10 excruciating days left!! Ever since supposed Ov day I've been peeing every hour... sure it's all in my head!!

OP posts:
neetie1 · 19/02/2016 10:31

Thanks prty much appreciated.
Today I feel much better af is almost gone so much so that we dtd this morning, hubby is being amazing and despite still being stresses about his work is so positive and supportive about conceiving. Def decided to no longer chart etc just to let things happen.

glitterpoppy · 19/02/2016 07:54

Morning all, how is everyone? So I've been abit absent this week.. It's been so busy and tiring at work so I've literally been coming home and collapsing!
Well took my last provera tablet Wednesday so currently waiting for AF to show up then need to go in for my bloods and then make an appointment for that X-ray Confused

PrtyPsn · 18/02/2016 17:58

kitten I feel exactly the same! Don't know what else we can do but feels like it should be working!! How do people get pg from doing it once?!
snowy that's reassuring but I'm wondering if it was all in my head lol!
Chocolate delivery for neetie

OP posts:
neetie1 · 18/02/2016 11:26

Well af is being a complete cow this month day 4 and am still getting cramps and backache..grrr.. tbh since deciding to stop all charting etc have felt much calmer we will just keep going just not stress about it.

snowy1982 · 18/02/2016 09:28

Prty that sounds like ovulation pain to me. I always get pain where i imagine my ovaries are in the middle of my cycle and since doing OPKs have noticed that they always coincide with positive results - this month DH and i DTD about 12 hrs prior to the pain so i dont think i can fault our timing

MrsKittenPie · 18/02/2016 08:08

prty - yes it's definitely like that. I'm getting sick of looking at dates, timing it perfectly because we need to then after all that I'm still not pregnant - why? How can dtd before and when the opk is positive just keep not working? Sorry ignore my rant this morning - am expecting a baby bomb from friends any day now so my stress levels are pretty high as I'll have to pretend to be really happy for them even though I'm Envy Envy Envy

PrtyPsn · 18/02/2016 07:40

kitten I know exactly what you mean, it's starting to feel... well, not forced because that's the wrong terminology but, I don't know, expected? Dutiful? Necessary?

OP posts:
MrsKittenPie · 17/02/2016 22:13

prty sounds like you felt something to do with ovulation- could be a good sign. I never feel anything (probably because my ovaries are old and knackered).
neetie - I think that sounds like a good plan. If you felt calmer not doing stuff then that's got to be good for you. That's always the advice - relaxation is the key people say.
I'm cd6, going away this weekend without dh but will be back on Monday for cd11 and the start of the fw (ha! or infertile in my case) - I said to dh it would be a shagathon again next week and he just looked tired at the thought. It's starting to take it's toll on us now Sad
