**China - I know right! So many years trying not to get pregnant and being told you can pregnant any time of the month at the merest whiff of spunk (love that word ) - and now we're all having to try so hard!!

My DH has said he doesn't want to know about ft or anything like that. Doesn't want the stress or pressure, which is fair enough. So avoiding on kits. Trying to keep things as normal as possible which for us means dtd about every 2-3 days. Frustrating not to be able to demand we dtd more when I know I'm probably fertile!

Katherine, that's really encouraging, thanks for sharing. I was on Cilest as well and came off in September to give my cycles time to regulate before we started TTC (which we did this month).

Did you use the Clear Blue ovulation kits from your first month of TTC? I am very tempted by them!

Hi everyone. I came across this thread and thought I'd share my story so far if it helps. I'm 29. DH and I started TTC in September. I was on the pill for probably around 10 years (cileste) until August. I finished a packet, had my period as normal (I always had one on the pill) then I just didn't start again the following month and hubby and I started trying straight away. My first cycle off the pill seemed to go on forever but it was 36 days. After that I regulated to around 26-29 days. We used clear blue digital and clear blue digital duo to track ovulation, which I can recommend as we found them very clear and they found my ovulations perfectly. My first long month I ovulated on day 20, my 2nd day 13 and 3rd day 14. On the third month of trying after coming off the pill I got BFP!!!! That was last Friday 4th December so I'm 5 weeks 1 day today. We took it early just incase and were surprised to see a very faint line. Since then we have had much stronger lines. We must have used about 5 tests to confirm it! First response were the best. Obviously it's very early days and we know not to get too excited until the 12 week mark but it's great news because we know we can do it now! We can get pregnant! I was so worried that one of us would have something wrong. Anyway, hope my story helps. Oh and I have no symptoms yet. I've heard not to worry about this so I'm enjoying it!

Insomnia is the worst runner. :-/ I've been really struggling with it for the last week or so, am knackered now!!

Runner, firstly, why in gods name were you up at 4am?!! I'd say definitely test again in the next day or two. Something must have made you think there was a line there, so I think it's worth a second look.

Shelb, sorry to hear of the BFN, but as we always say, you're not out the game this month until the witch arrives, so fingers crossed.

Still negative OPKs for me, but Ovia says am in fertile window and CM is looking more sticky, verging on EWCM so am just going to continue pinning OH down!

Yeah, you're right runner. Still got line on opk this morning. Don't feel sick, but am burping all the time, nice!

Never mind Shelb to be fair if you had got a BFP at 7 dpo it would have probably meant you'd got your dates muddled. Try again in a few days

Shelb, Bunch there is honestly nothing to photograph. It was one of those, if I hold my head at exactly 28.5 degrees, while standing on one leg and facing due north, I think I might be able to see something... Maybe lol

It was an ic. It's ok, I'll do another one tomorrow. Assumedly if I did see something today it'll be a bit more visible tomorrow.may do a cheeky one later too... Just in case

Test shelb you know you want to! If it's positive great, if not then just wait a few days and try again

Trust your ewcm.

You may find you get a positive opk later in the week. Just like everything else where ttc is concerned everyone is different. Some people have such a sudden hormone surge that they never see a positive opk. Others like me have a hormone surge that lasts for several days (in this case you consider the first day of positive opk to be your actual hormone surge).

So just keep dtd and doing opk's and see what happens

So I just did another pissy stick (Somewhere between 8&10dpo) like the others this was BFN (as expected) but... On all the others I've done I couldn't tell where the test line should be, on this one I could. Not sure what that means 4am brain doesn't think too good! but am hoping it means that there is the teeniest minuscule amount of colour there. Probably just sleep blind. I shall try again tomorrow

So while we are on the subject of dtd and ewcm (sorry ) and OPKs ... My OPKs are still negative but Ovia says get thee to bed and I have a lot of ewcm... So am I not ovulating if the opk is negative? We've dtd twice in the last 4 days and I'm apparently fertile til Thursday so we will do it another couple of times. I'm just confused as the opk is negative but everything else is positive?

Lara, you know if we had relied on this "so few days fertile" information in our 20's we'd all have conceived despite avoiding dtd in our fertile windows. now we're jumping on our spunk machines and looking for a bfp it'll probably take months!!! oh god I can't stop visualising DH as some kind of steam powered machine now!!!

And I'm sure we'll all get to know each other pretty well over the next while (well, all about CM anyway!!!)
