Join us. It's a boat. Full of okp's and symptom spotting and insanity! But also much love and support! We were supposed to start next month, we already have a few bfp's! Our dps don't know what's hit them!

I meant to add the pic of my stash to my last post oops.
I guess so Pink, I wouldn't consider 30 to be high risk age and as they can tell from bloods if you need further testing they're right to offer it to everyone.

Drink the first few weeks it's only a blastocyst, what you eat or drink won't be passed to it so you're safe until you get your bfp.

Shelb, I'd probably test tonight too because I couldn't contain myself, and then also in the morning.

How many days dpo are people testing from?

Starky I panic about going to the loo afterwards too, or that if I stand up all the sperm is going to come out!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 15/12/2015 17:03

bunch I was reading up earlier on the tests offered at scans! I'm sure the time will fly past and it will be scan day in no time!

pink I think they offer them regardless now. I found it quite comfortable that, Dh was mystified and refused to join me in a bum in the air dance! I had to Google if it was ok to go for a wee after ttc sex though before I could bring myself to go! (From what I read, it makes no difference, as sperm would already be on their journey, still had to make sure though. ...and waited half an hour! ) I have to keep telling myself I'm not even ovulating yet! But I suppose I'm impatient because Dh has an 18 hour shift tomorrow so will be out from half 6 am till about 4 am, so I know tomorrow we've got zero chance, and Thursday will be pushing it too!

shelb I'd probably test, but then again in the morning too!

Can I ask if you continue to eat and drink as normal when ttc? Or are you careful? I used to be careful for tww, then eat as normal. I've now just given up, and do as I please, but do worry in the dead of night that I could be hurting my baby if I've caught.

drinkyourmilk · 15/12/2015 16:52

I only test with first wee. I figure that if I'm testing early I'm only likely to get a very feint positive, and that's with first wee. Just me though.

shelbTa · 15/12/2015 16:49

Ladies should I poas when I get home or is it a waste of time in the evening??

Pinklily1 · 15/12/2015 16:39

Bunch what kind of things are you taking in case morning sickness sets in? Maybe plain crackers of some sort just in case?

Do they offer the downs test regardless of age etc?

Starky - I managed to do myself an injury the other day wiggling my legs in the air and trying to get some pillows under my bum/hips. Not glamorous at all!!

Pinklily1 · 15/12/2015 16:36

I was just thinking about it this afternoon and it suddenly occurred to me that I don't actually know when to start counting from!

BunchOfBobs · 15/12/2015 16:31

It's on the 1st of Feb. Seems so far away but I'm so busy between here and then that the midwife and I are struggling to fit my booking in appointment in. She asked if I wanted the screening afterwards for Down's syndrome etc straight after, just bloods and I said yes. I'm 6 weeks in Friday and absolutely dreading morning sickness kicking in when I'm on the rig. I've stocked up on supplies to hopefully help. Think I'll manage? Wink curapads for backache, it's lovely this pregnancy lark Grin

StarkyTheDirewolf · 15/12/2015 16:14

I'll do one at about 6/7 pm because that's what time I did on yesterday shelb

That's exactly what I said pink honestly, something she's straight on top of, like, if we're walking about shopping, and he notices something going on further up half a mile the road, he'll get hold of my arm and take me across the street. But his car keys can be directly adjacent to him and he'll go "I can't find my keys!" The boy is dopey as balls sometimes!

We dtd just in case I'm ovulating and I don't know, and then I lay with a pillow under my bum and Dh looked at me like I was insane! I've told him in not actually ovulating, I'm just practicing! That way, if it becomes the norm for me to bum pillow, he will get used to it! Grin

Err good question Pink I've been counting from the day after, not sure that's correct though Confused

Pinklily1 · 15/12/2015 15:42

I think I will order them. I do tend to become a bit obsessive and he's already worried about how I will react if we don't get a BFP this month, so I am trying to give the outward appearance of calm! But possible dodgy OPKs is not helping so am going to suck it up and order them.

Starky - how can you not notice a fish tank...?!

Dosy question time - when we refer to be x days dpo, is that counting from the first day you get a positive OPK test or EWCM?

shelbTa · 15/12/2015 15:24

Sounds good stark save your wee and get it tested!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 15/12/2015 14:56

I've got a prickly pain in my left side, low down. Egg clicking out of sack? It's like a twinge. I always used to be able to tell when I was ovulating before I actually cared now I'm wondering if I should try to save up my next wee and do an okp to test. Hmmm. ..

Awww shelb fx it's not a stomach bug and you're feeling rough because of a cheeky little blastocyst!

Will pop a pic up later runner Grin

Exciting news about the scan Bunch when is it?

Pink I told OH that I was using opk's to make sure my body has reverted to normal after coming off the pill. He knows I'm actually monitoring but we have an agreement that I don't tell him about any of it.

Yay stark get the crochet photos on!

Oh no Shelb I hope you're wrong!

shelbTa · 15/12/2015 14:29

Ohhhhh I suddenly feel really really rough. Very queasy and faint. Starting to wonder if it's all just a stomach bug....

drinkyourmilk · 15/12/2015 13:51

starky I've got at least 8 blankets half finished. I'm obsessed by blankets!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 15/12/2015 13:31

pink order the okp's, mine came 7 a plain brown envelope, plus, it's the perfect time of year for it, tell him not to open your post as you've got some Christmas surprises arriving! Xmas Grin in fairness though, I could order an elephant in a box and Dh wouldn't know/notice! For his birthday I got him a fish tank plus fish, he was sat literally next to it about a foot away and didn't notice it until I pointed it out!

bunch lovely news about your scan! Crocheting going well! I'll pop a pic up later! I keep starting projects, getting distracted and then when I come back to them, I start a new one though! I have no concentration at the minute!

Bunch how lovely about your scan!

Pinklily1 · 15/12/2015 13:12

Bunch, so exciting that your 12 week scan is booked! Glad you are feeling well too.

Runner, I think I will get some Internet cheapies. Just reluctant to order on Internet as OH doesn't know I am doing OPKs so don't want him to be in when they are delivered! Might try Boots ones instead.

If I were you, I'd lie on the sofa all day!

BunchOfBobs · 15/12/2015 12:42

I'm having a great day today it won't last. The bloating has waned and I'm eating everything in sight. Also got my 12 week scan booked so it's a good day. Off to the gym in a min- got all the way there this morning and got a phone call to come back for a worktop delivery. So I've been watching OBEM whilst waiting.

How's the crocheting going Starky?

drinkyourmilk · 15/12/2015 12:24

I'll join you if you like. I'm recovering from noro. That's why I'm home this week.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 15/12/2015 12:23

Haha shelb sick of the sight of cocktails and balls! Xmas Grin

I'm sorry we've got bfn's but there's still time yet guys! You're not out till you're out! And even then it's only a case of waiting a couple of weeks till the next go! this is what I'm telling myself

How are you feeling today bunch? Haha I'm struggling to feel sorry for your Dh snow

OP posts:
drinkyourmilk · 15/12/2015 12:23

Just do what your body tells you runner. Sometimes laying on the sofa is what you need.

Runner05 · 15/12/2015 12:13

Shelb I've already done a FRER today. It was definitely a BFN.

I'm going to force myself to wait and try again tomorrow. Think I'm just feeling low because the cold is making me tired. Feel like I should be productive as I've only got two days left at home but I just want to lay on the sofa and watch daytime TV. Confused
