Join us. It's a boat. Full of okp's and symptom spotting and insanity! But also much love and support! We were supposed to start next month, we already have a few bfp's! Our dps don't know what's hit them!

Love dogs stark!

ElleSarcasmo · 18/12/2015 22:34

Didn't want to stress anyone else out about the age thing...I have heard lots of success stories both in 30s and early 40s Flowers

StarkyTheDirewolf · 18/12/2015 22:11

My dsis was trying to have a snooze, the dog decided to be super helpful and loving Xmas Grin

Thanks for the welcome guys! Runner thanks for your reply! Here hoping for something positive even if it's a sign of a regular cycle! Awaiting blood test results for thyroid etc at the moment so just got to wait it out X

StarkyTheDirewolf · 18/12/2015 21:45

Welcome Norris88 and congratulations on your wedding! I got married in May, feels like an age ago and yesterday all at the same time!

My ovia and mydays are at odds. So I've decided to keep on with the okp's every afternoon to see if I get a peak! And we'll just keep dtd!

I'm 29, Dh is 37 (but looks much younger, the bastard!) I've got all sorts going on in my insides today, feels like I've got a ghost kicking about in there from my ribs down to my nethers! So very odd!

We'll get there guys! Let's try and not feel disheartened, it's so confusing and stressful and bloody frustrating not knowing what my body is playing at, but I've decided after my meltdown earlier I'm going to try and not concentrate on the negative of it too much.

But it's so nice knowing I can come here and weep and wail and moan and somebody will tell me to have a cry, give me a virtual cuddle, and then kick me up the arse with a positive, then I remember the good! Xmas Smile

kat I've been trying far longer than you, don't loose heart Flowers.
Welcome norris, good to have you here.
I'm old. Almost 39. DH 35.

Runner05 · 18/12/2015 21:09

Snow I always felt that 7 or 8 dpo was a perfectly acceptable time to start obsessively peeing on sticks that you know scientifically can't be positive yet lol Wink

Runner05 · 18/12/2015 21:05

Elle I'm starting to think that Ovia does estimate on the late side. Maybe you should do opk's next month just to check?
Oh and for the record, I'm 34 OH 39. I was terrified we'd left it too late and it would take years to get pregnant. Broke down in tears over it many times before we started trying.

Hi Norris. Hopefully your cycle is just longer than you thought and your BFP is on its way. I didn't get feint or over tired but everyone's different. It might be worth going to your GP and asking them to check your blood pressure and do a diabetes and thyroid check, just in case.

Snowdog37 · 18/12/2015 21:05

I'm 37.5... So getting close to the dreaded 4-0. Never tried for a baby before though so who knows. I'm loving hearing about all your stories and especially the bfps! It's very encouraging and distracts me from trying to rationalize poas at 3 or 4 dpo.

Snowdog37 · 18/12/2015 21:03

Lol Shel 😄💐

shelbTa · 18/12/2015 20:59

Snow it happens - exhibit A!

Norris try not to worry, most of us are 30-35 I think and most not long off the pill.

X

LaraG13 · 18/12/2015 20:59

Welcome Norris!

elle, I'm 33. I think we're still in with a very good chance of getting pregnant within months.

kat hugs to you. I know 4 months must feel ages but it's not - I'm sure it'll happen for you very soon.

pink interesting that fertility friend also found your O to be earlier than Ovia, like it did for me. I'm going to go with that as I feel it's more accurate for me.

Norris88 · 18/12/2015 20:57

Thanks! Grin My dr hasn't told me anything but I've done a lot of googling (that was a mistake! Lol) and it can disturb your cycle, give you longer cycles and generally can effect your hormones!
Sorry still haven't figured out how to tag people in post!x

Snowdog37 · 18/12/2015 20:56

I would probably lose my mind with joy/shock if I got pregnant on this, my first, cycle. I know it happens and I see it's regularly happening on mumsnet and other forums, but I just can't fathom it happening to me.

ElleSarcasmo · 18/12/2015 20:48

Hope it's nearly as quick for us! Flowers

Pinklily1 · 18/12/2015 20:45

Exactly Elle. I know it varies for everyone but both of my friends who are over 35 got pregnant within the first month of trying!

Congratulations on the wedding Norris! What are meant to be the side effects of the period delaying pill?

ElleSarcasmo · 18/12/2015 20:33

Welcome Norris!
Thanks Pink, the media always talk about the fertility plunge after 35. I have a friend who's a gynaecologist specialising in infertility and he said it's really when you get to 40. Can't turn back time anyway!

Norris88 · 18/12/2015 20:32

Hey Pink Lilly, been off the pill for 4 months but took a pill to delay my period for our wedding 6 weeks ago and since coming off that about 5 weeks ago only had a 1 day period
I'm 27 and oh is 30. I've read the period delaying pill has side effects so could be that!

Pinklily1 · 18/12/2015 20:29

Welcome Norris! Sorry to hear of your BFN. Still time though! How long have you been off the pill?

I'm not pg so can't comment on the exhaustion point, but I'm sure some of our BFPers can!

How old are you and OH?

Norris88 · 18/12/2015 20:23

Hi Ladies,

Am I able to join? Only really been trying for about 6 weeks but think my cycle is a bit messed up from the pill. I'm currently 5days late (I might be wrong as could've changed!) and did a test this evening but a bfn. I've got some symptoms but don't know if I'm over thinking them lol. Anyone else felt faint and exhausted?

StarkyTheDirewolf · 18/12/2015 20:17

I've completely lost my brain train, I'm watching gbbo Christmas masterclass! I can't concentrate, my dsis just got home too so I'm all over the shop!

runner he's got no chance, I shall simply tantrum till I get my way!
elle I'm having one of those days, I'm clearly hormonal, work is a bastard, my ovaries are bastards, okp's are bastards! Xmas Grin
shekb I've decided, all shall be well! And if I keep saying it, I shall believe it!

Pinklily1 · 18/12/2015 20:14

Think there are a lot of us in our 30s on here Elle. I am almost 33 and OH is 32.

Snowdog37 · 18/12/2015 20:05

I got a friend in the USA to get them for me, though as they're expensive here.

Snowdog37 · 18/12/2015 20:03

I use Wondfo. They were pretty cheap, so I don't mind wasting them by taking too many.
