Just wondered Dub. I spent about half an hour in Boots the other day trying to decide between a boots own brand and a first response! I think first response are meant to pick up pg the earliest out of the tests.

Also think you are meant to use flu ideally.

pink I am using a boots own brand but says can test up to 5 days early if that means anything?

May try with fmu tomorrow as may make a difference?

I just decided to explain to DH about CM he looked horrified especially when I told him that the fertile stuff is a bit like pre-cum he threw a pillow at me and told me he doesn't want to hear another word

So glad I've found people to obsess with as I'm trying not to tell anyone in real life yet!

In other news still bloated (probably from all the wine and chocolate) and am convinced irrationally that I could have missed ovulation and might be pregnant.

I've just tested - bfn. No sign of af yet although just started getting cramps a bit so probably on its way.

Yay Lara, Pink and First, sounds like a POAS party is on the cards! My CD1 was the first December, didn't do OPKs but think I ovulated some time between 11th (EWCM big time) and 13th (hot and sleepless!)

What is the earliest I can test post ovulation (assuming that was 13th)? Don't think I am at all though...maybe I should wait until 28th or 29th as Ovia would have it unless I develop any convincing symptoms between now and then. Do you think you'll drink over Christmas? assuming you haven't tested and got a BFP by then!

Good luck waiting first! I'm away from my OH from 25-28 now so am going to try to wait until 28/29 to test. Have you had any potential symptoms?

Lara and pink, looks like we are testing buddies! I am day 10 post ovulation today. My husband is away this week until sunday 27th so may wait til then if i can bear it! Not actually bought any tests yet. Best way to stop me using them early!

elle they could be symptoms! It's so hard to know. Pretty sure I've not had anything out of the ordinary at all.

Agree with all about the trickiess of remaining cool about dtd with OH around ovulation so as not to put pressure on, and wanting to tell them so they make the extra effort! Depends on the person I suppose.

It's split 50/50 yeah. But for me and runner it was a good sign. And I had sickness and burping like you. Really hope it is, but we will still be here for you if it isn't! When is AF due?

I'm aiming to test between 25th-29th.

It's so hard knowing what the right approach is with OH's I think in terms of telling them when it's fertile week or not. I think my OH would rather not know but then if he knew it was fertile week and was tired, he might make the effort to DTD if you see what I mean!

Shelb and Runner, I've done an OPK. It's darker than last weeks! If this post works, the first picture is this evening's compared with the non-existent line on the second, which was from Thursday (last time I did an OPK). So I had strong OPKs on 9th/10th December, no lines at all last week and now this one...

On the vitamins, I also highly recommend the seven seas ones. Not only are they tiny, they also come in a blister pack with the days of the week marked on which I find really handy. Last month I took the pregnacare ones and they were MASSIVE and made me feel nauseous.

Coil is coming out tomorrow - woo! But not spending Xmas with my oh this year so first contraception free dtd won't be for another week.

Who is testing this week? china? Anyone else?

Thanks runner, I will look at those. Can you take them in pregnancy as well? They def don't have vitamin A, in fact comparing them side by side they were more or less identical to the sainsbury's pregnancy ones!

Elle might be worth checking those multi-vits to make sure they don't have vitamin A which is bad for fertility. Also try a different brant of folic acid as it really is important to take it every day. I would recommend seven seas preconception vitamins. The tablet is absolutely tiny and I've never heard of anyone having a negative reaction to it x

I decided to take the opposite approach with my DH shelb -he got stressed when I said this was meant to be my fertile week ( and we were apart mon-fri), so instead pounced on him this weekend and emphasised this was just for fun!
Mine can be a worrier though-you know yours best!

Definitely no symptom spotting here! yeah right!
Apart from my overheating last Sunday when I decided I must be ovulating, I have had the following:
-funny feeling like my cervix is fluttering all week
-period like cramps on Thursday
-gums bleeding on teeth cleaning-Wednesday and Thursday
-extra tired yesterday- had a 3 hour afternoon nap
I feel pretty normal, not at all nauseous, no burping or wind, so not holding out too much hope.

Like a couple of us, this is only my 2nd cycle off the pill. I have no idea what my normal cycle length, pre-AF symptoms should be...basically I don't know my body well at all! Kind of wishing I had tried non hormonal contraception like Harriet to have more idea of a normal cycle.

Stark have you told him when you're likely to be ov'ing? I didn't use the word 'ovulate' as I think oh might have sicked in his mouth a little but in the end I told him when it was game on - took the pressure off me having to be fucking seductress extraordinaire all the time!
