Sorry been MIA for a while, insane week. but curly that is such incredible news!! Congratulations!!!

Last week we found out that DHs work plans had changed fairly dramatically. He's in the military and home at weekends at the moment, but other than a 3-4 month deployment starting in April / May, he should have been winding down to move home (finally) to start a 2-4 year stint here. Hence ideal window for babies now. HOWEVER, the guy replacing him has been signed off sick indefinitely, so he's got to stay where he is, can't go on deployment until November at the earliest (he has to do one more patrol to get fully qualified) and THEN is unlikely to get a placement near home afterwards, there are only three roles he could apply for here and the timings don't match up for when they next 'rotate' - he'll probably end up in Bristol from next April, probably for another two years. DH was keen to carry on anyway but I really really don't want to risk him missing the birth, or having to leave for the first 3-4 months of the babies life, I am WAY too needy to do this on my own and we live an hour away from our family.

So I had a sulk, thought about buying a ridiculous sports car now that I didn't need a Mama Wagon, but eventually got a grip and just decided we'd need to pause thing for 6-12 months which is in no way the end of the world and means we can squeeze in one more big grown up holiday... So I am off the January Bus, after one whole (unsuccessful) cycle of trying. Haven't psyched myself up to go back on the pill yet, so we're Natural Family Planning (as we were for a year pre-official-baby-making) for the moment.

Damn... my order didn't go through... I was hoping to start obsessively peeing today Grin
Hope everyone's had a good day. It's ovulation day today for me.

KitKat1985 · 12/01/2016 22:04

Haha, I may have also ordered a multi-pack of internet cheapie tests from Amazon. When I was pregnant with DD1 I was so paranoid I tested every day for like the first 3 weeks. Grin

wetsnow · 12/01/2016 20:58

Kitkat I think I would be obsessively peeing on sticks! Hence why I just bought a pack of 15 tests for £2!

KitKat1985 · 12/01/2016 19:02

Just logging on to say congrats curly! That's amazing news!

Getting lots of twinges this evening and have felt slightly naeseous. Trying not to read too much into it. Took my last mini pill 3rd Jan and have no idea how soon after I stop I could ovulate. However it was the pill with the 3-hour time window to take and I have been told that you could ovulate if you were late taking it one day so potentially could have ovulated last week. I haven't had a period with which to date from. When would you POAS if you were me? Next week maybe it AF doesn't show? xxx

wetsnow · 12/01/2016 18:23

I have a 2 year old already and remember that feeling well! 😂 have everything already this time... except I hated the pram we bought second hand last time.

2nding toadies sentiments. I'm still not confident enough to go near an Antenatal thread despite another bfp yesterday evening but when I do I hope we're all there together!

bluebell I thoght I always wanted a little girl so when I found out last time it was a boy I was a bit nervous! But he has been an utter joy. Off the walls busy, but very very sweet natured. Thats boys for you, they'll wreck your house but then come over for a cuddle. Then happily trot off to wreck the place again! Grin

Bluebell20 · 12/01/2016 13:15

I can second the terrified!!! However, despite my constant worrying, I actually seem to be all good thank you - and last week I found out via the Harmony that we're expecting a little boy!

Fingers crossed for a lovely smooth pregnancy for you xx

Sodasoda · 12/01/2016 12:48

Thrilled not hrilled. Idiot phone and person using it

Sodasoda · 12/01/2016 12:47

Thank you bluebell!! We are hrilled (and slightly terrified that something will go wrong)! Hope you're doing well xx

Bluebell20 · 12/01/2016 11:35

Just popping back in to say a big congratulations to Soda! I am absolutely thrilled to see that you finally got your BFP :)

Congrats to all the other BFPs too! January isn't over yet... May there be many more to come!

toadierocks · 12/01/2016 10:52

Yayyyyy curly that's such awesome news! So happy for you, wishing you a healthy happy nine months xx

Thanks so much for all your support and wishes ladies, this has been a wonderful bus Brew I wish you all the best of luck and hope to see you all soon on the antenatal boards xxx

BindiBarbarella · 12/01/2016 09:40

Curly that is such lovely news - I am buzzing for you! Hope it's all straightforward from now on for you Smile

wetsnow · 12/01/2016 07:46

Morning All
Just bought my stash of Amazon cheapies. Ttc feels more real now.

Hope everyone has a lovely day.

Celen · 12/01/2016 07:32

Curly this really has made my week after such a crappy wkend, I'm super happy for you Smile

SoozC · 12/01/2016 07:27

Gin I have a free app called WomanLog I've been using for a couple of years to track my periods since coming off the pill. No idea if it's any good. This is only my first cycle of TTC so I might consider other things if no joy. Thanks for clearing some things up for me!

wetsnow · 11/01/2016 23:24

Hi all
Hoping on the bus a bit late.
Few days away from entering the 2 week wait. First month of dtd at the right time.
Congrats to all the positives so far and fingers crossed if testing soon.
Smile

queenoftheworld93 · 11/01/2016 21:57

Anyone else due to POAS in the next few days?

Curlywurly4 · 11/01/2016 21:45

Thanks for the kind thought, they must have helped!

Could just see a little bean today, so another scan booked for two weeks time. I'm completely stunned. If I hadn't POAS I would never know I was pregnant! Still bleeding, so just hoping it's a sticky one.

Good luck to everyone in the tww, hopefully lots more BFP to come Smile
