My step dad died at the weekend so I don't hold out much hope that This will be our month as I was ovulating this weekend and for obvious reasons haven't managed to dtd, apart from Thursday.

Worst week of my life. :(

mamaneedsamojito · 22/12/2015 18:34

That picture is so interesting Bindi. The whole process is so fascinating.

mamaneedsamojito · 22/12/2015 18:32

Does anyone know if I can manually add my ovulation date to Fertility Friend? It's ignored my positive OPK because I started temping but abandoned it on the nights I only had 1 hour and 3 hours sleep. I want it to count my DPO for me...

Curlywurly4 · 22/12/2015 18:06

Hold off bindi! I would be tempted to test Xmas day though Wink

Celen that diagram is great. Amazing to see how it travels along, it really takes it time getting down the tube.

I've not charted Soda so not much help sorry. Have you had ewcm? That's my biggest indicator really. I guess you need to be hydrated though to get it which may be difficult with a cold.

Managed to DTD before the nursery pick up today. Bless DH he cycled mega quick back from work to squeeze in a quick shag!

BindiBarbarella · 22/12/2015 13:58

And sorry Soda I don't know much about temping - someone will be along soon to help!

BindiBarbarella · 22/12/2015 13:57

Haha thanks I've talked myself down!! Last month I was so sure I was PG - agonising sore boobs, sickly feeling, very sore (what I thought was) implantation cramps and nope. This month no symptoms at all so I don't think I am I just like Peeing on a stick!!

Sodasoda · 22/12/2015 12:45

Welcome askpray

Stay away bindi!!

I'm feeling a bit confused. Not sure if I've actually ovulated yet. Anyone chart and fancy deciphering mine?! I had a positive OPK on Thursday and assumed I ovd on Friday with a temp spike but temps been all over the place really. I've had a really bad cold and have been coughing quite a bit in the morning the last couple of days and I was very feverish on Thursday (cd13) which is assumed explained my high temp then. I haven't been taking any ov sticks since Friday (negative). Opinions welcome!

weechops · 22/12/2015 10:54

Nooooo don't do it bindi!! Or at least not for another 3 days Grin

BindiBarbarella · 22/12/2015 10:46

Hi everyone! One week into the 2ww and I'm so close to caving and PingOAS. I'm not working as much over Christmas so I've nothing to to distract me! Help!

weechops · 22/12/2015 10:18

Hello to askprayhope

Morning everyone else on the bus too.

I'm having a pampering morning at the hairdressers then dh is going to take smallest chops out and I can have the house to myself for a while, which never happens!

4dpo today and I noticed my boobs were a bit tender when I ran upstairs. Maybe that's just cause they're big though Grin

How's everyone else doing?

AskPrayHope · 21/12/2015 20:23

Hi all!

I'm brand new here (though been doing the terrible deed of googling things so have read mumsnet posts for awhile!)

TTC number 1
Been off depo since January after 2 years so don't know how that's affected me Confused only got my periods back in September!

But I wonder if I can join you all on the January bus? I just finished my period today, so a whole nother cycle to try in (wahoo EnvySad not)

Good luck to everyone on the bus Smile

mamaneedsamojito · 21/12/2015 20:00

The things we do for the cause!

Curlywurly4 · 21/12/2015 19:35

I've been taking it since October mama and was really surprised it's worked this quickly** and so well. It's making my carpel tunnel a million times worse but hey ho, I'll put up with it out of desperation!

mamaneedsamojito · 21/12/2015 18:55

Oooh, that's interesting Curly, I might give B6 a whirl next month. I usually ov between day 16-21 I think.

Curlywurly4 · 21/12/2015 18:02

Sorry AF arrived Kat, spots and sheep and welcome to bus.

I'm impressed mama - compete determination Grin Got a peak on my CBFM today at CD13, pre the B6 it was more like CD17-19 so big improvement. Best crack on with the SMEP, which I agree is bloody exhausting! DH is alway up for it, but I'm totally done in by 9pm.

mamaneedsamojito · 21/12/2015 17:43

Hello sheep and spots. The mulled wine and party poppers are at the back of the bus. Welcome to the party no one wants to attend!

I feel seriously shit today. DS spent all weekend being sick but thankfully is right as rain today. However... I now have horrible tummy cramps, aches and shivers. I've eaten one piece of toast all day and am planning to have Ben & Jerrys for tea. Still managed two shags though, how's that for commitment? Cant let my Mum's sacrifice go to waste. Grin

Spotsondots · 21/12/2015 16:23

Hi all. Hopping over from the December bus following the unwelcome appearance of AF today. Was really hoping Mother Nature might give me an early pressie in the form of a BFP but apparently not.

Name: spots
Age: 31 (for another 4 days...)
TTC: #2 (1 DS born August 2013)
Cycle: 13 ShockSad
ETD: 1st Feb

Even though I probably won't test until the very end of the month it'd be nice to hang out on the bus if that's ok. We are probably moving into fertility referral territory in the new year having already started the process in the autumn. I have polycystic ovaries and long irregular cycles so never look to test before cd42 as my cycles are usually at least 35 days.

Sheep2345 · 21/12/2015 15:50

Hopping off the December bus and onto the January bus!
Age 33
DD 2.5
Cycle 3
CD 1
ETD 18th January (sooooo long away!!!)
Hoping January is kind to us all xx

Sodasoda · 21/12/2015 13:17

weechops we've been TTC #1 for 10 months now. At first I tested really early (4dpo was a low point!) Blush But I started to realise how upset BFN was making me Nd ruining my day. I'd prefer to stay positive and just hope I get a BFP. Once AF arrives I'm upset by at least it's only once. No symptoms at all - my boobs are tender today but that's usually a post ov symptom for me.

mama I usually get 2 days of positive OPKs but I think it varies From person to person

Annarose2014 · 21/12/2015 13:00

So I bought 100mg Vit B6 and also some Calcium/Magnesium 500/250mg just cos I heard Magnesium regulates estrogen. God knows if its true but I figure it won't do me any harm!

Makes me feel like I'm taking charge whilst waiting for my appt. I'll start OPKing Day 20. Damn these long cycles! It makes everything take so looooooooong. Its so boring waiting around for the best week!

mamaneedsamojito · 21/12/2015 12:56

How long does everyone get positive OPKs for? I've had them for 24 hours now (POAS 5 times!)

weechops · 21/12/2015 12:44

soda I wish I had your willpower!! Though I get it, af is marginally better then holding out for the elusive bfp for days. Maybe I just like torturing myself 😂 I'll probably start testing on the 28th which is 10dpo. All my other pregnancies I've seen a super faint line then before a bfp.

So 3dpo and I have raging thirst. Symptom??😄

Bugmuncher · 21/12/2015 12:43

soda that's a good idea. I don't think I'll have ever had so much DTD in my life but I'm a bit of a planner and organiser so anything to increase chances and reduce the waiting and wondering is worth trying for me. DH was extremely pleased when I told him about SMEP!

Sodasoda · 21/12/2015 12:05

weechops Grin Are you an early tester? I'm not planning on testing unless AF is late. I have 14 day LP so due 2 Jan so I won't be testing until 3 Jan. which suits me anyway as I'll be with my family or the in laws until 3 Jan anyway!

katemoss welcome. Re early testing - it's really up to you. A FRER may pick it up a week early but that really is very early. I'd try and hold out a bit longer if you can. I guess it depends whether you can cope with getting BFN when it might be BFP if you test later? I hate getting BFN so don't bother testing any more - unless AF is late. Which she never is. The bitch!!
