We weren't supposed to start till January! But we did!
Join us as we ttc #1 after pill/contraception etc.

We've got a boat, it makes frequent stops for wine, pissy sticks, wool, slings, cake and all manner of shit we don't need yet but we buy anyway!

Runner are you going back on a phased return? Fingers and toes crossed for a Christmas Day BFP for you! Have you just started learning to play the piano or is it something you've been doing for a while?

Have a meeting with my boss at the end of next week about going back to work. I am feeling better, I've been using learning piano as a destress technique (I can't stress about stuff while I'm playing because it takes all my concentration) but I'm still worried that when I go back I'll start to stress out again. I'm thinking of trying to move jobs to something less stressful. Wish I was going back upduffed so that I knew I'd only be there for a few months then off for however long, but still have my fingers crossed for a Christmas Day BFP Smile

I've got piercingly bad backache near my coccyx this morning, no spotting today, bloated, negative opk. Good times.

Woo hoo Bunch, that's amazing news - congratulations!! Our first board BFP!

We DTD last night and I'm pleased to say no condoms were used! I was convinced OH was going to panic but he just went for it and was very excited afterwards that we could possibly have made a baby (I'm not in my fertile window but didn't point that out!). So now we are actually having real life purposeful sex!!!

Probably TMI but I was panicking afterwards about everything leaking out. Usually after DTD I go and clean everything up, but didn't this time so it as odd. I know it probably makes no difference but I think the irrational fears have started!

I already knew but it's nice to have the very obvious result.

Today is pick up the car day and DH suggests we go browse some car seats. Woop. A be early seeing as it's only 4 weeks but hey ho.

On another note, the pregnancy test in television thing! I'd never noticed it before now,and then I was watching 'how I met your mother' on netflix earlier, and there is an episode where Lily is 5 days late on her period, does a pregnancy test, and then immediately gets arrested for public urination. Time elapses and Marshall picks her up from the police station, she tells him about the pregnancy test and says she hasn't looked at it yet, so doesn't know either way, but when she does, it's negative. And aaaaaaall I could think was "you're out of the time frame! Its been longer than 5 minues! It's an inaccurate test now!" Grin

Haha love that china we've not done calendars, mainly because I completely forget and then on the 23rd remember and give it to my dsis. But she's gluten intolerant now so she can't have a lot of chocolate!

We have spurts of loads of chatting and then intermittent chatting, but we keep it bumbling along! Xmas Grin I've had to work bully Dh up to ttc, he wanted to wait a couple of years but I've managed to convince him up to a point now! So gradually getting him used to "purposeful sex" for want of a better phrase, has been interesting!

Glad I'm not the only one who's dallied with condoms and withdrawing and purposeful baby making!

He bought me gin one.
We didn't confer, pure coincidence!!!

I'm starting to think that we ladies should never be in a room together for fear of creating a deadly chemical weapon with our butts. I do occasionally have to leave the room to get away from my own fart. Very embarrassing Blush

Ni4444 I'm going off mydays app, but I transferred it to ovia and that told me I had missed my period and was if a life phase or something! I'm still getting to grips with ovia. Maybe I'm having a phantom period? Or maybe it is too early! Who knows?! I'm sure I'll get more of an idea in the next few days.

pink my Dh kept being a puss about it, we worked up, from condom, to late condom application, to no condom but withdrawal, and now, we've shaken hands on having actual on purpose having a baby sex Grin

mor I'm constantly gassy! Dh is often shocked and secretly proud I once neatly made him sick, it was tofu, tofu does NOT agree with me! Gastrointestinal volcano, like a thousand rotting corpses!

Henna-ing my dsis hair tonight! Adding honey and coconut oil in. Grin

Fingers crossed! I have grand plans to put a cushion under my bum and keep my legs in the air post DTD to try and keep everything in (sorry, TMI!), but I think that will just make us laugh too much!

Ni4444 I love the optimism! (and the brandy cream paranoia made me giggle. A pregnant friend of mine (who is a doctor and so has been thoroughly unruffled by the whole pregnancy thing up to this point) burst into tears when she realised she had eaten two champagne truffles the other day.....)

I know - now I want to move it forward! Its really tempting isn't it. I feel like once we've made the decision we should just get on with it. My main reason for not is it would be obvious that I wasn't drinking over Christmas that people would start wondering and I don't think I want everyone to know we're trying. Well, specifically my MIL. She is absolutely DESPERATE for grandchildren and piling on pressure so it would get a bit unbearable. I don't want her to know otherwise she will starting interfering advising on food/drink/exercise/vitamins.

Pink We're 32 (me) and 34. Original plan was to wait another year for job reasons. I have been v career focussed but something has changed in the last 6 months. I never thought I would be so broody! Its a bit terrifying.

I am a right moody cow! Blowing hot and cold at the moment. Quite short with my poor DH! And I'm being impatient....also not the best person to be around, because (tmi) full of gas!!(Which you guessed it, is another symptom...)

Ni - I would love to test the same time as you, but I'm going to stick to what Ovia says (I know,yawn, boring). Thing is, until AF appears or doesn't, I'm not going to believe a BFN, especially if I've tested early. But I'll be cheering you on the side lines on Sunday!!

Stark sorry you got a bfn. Are you certain of your cycle length? Is it possible you're on a longer cycle and it's too early to test (ever the optimist me!)

Pink just get him so turned on that he can't even think about ttc worries!!

Got some more cramps this afternoon. My moods are confusing. Generally feeling really positive and focused, but seem to be getting frustrated around OH, and then anything sweet on TV has me choking away tears within seconds! But this could be the return of my natural, post-pill hormones! AF due Tuesday. I will test Sunday regardless of what Ovia says! Shall we do it together Mor?

I had brandy cream with my first mince pie today. Then felt bad for consuming alcohol!! #ttcmadness Grin

Starky - sorry its a BFN, but best to get it over and done with so you aren't driving yourself insane not knowing. If it was me, the test would have been burning a hole in my pocket (or wherever it was stored!). I almost choked on my tea when I read that you had wee stored in the wardrobe!!! I never imagined we'd be discussing wee storage!!

Welcome Bubbles. I was trying to think how many of us originally planned on TTC in January and have now brought it forward, I think there are a fair few of us. How old are you and OH?

I'm hoping we are going to DTD tonight for the first time since deciding to TTC this month rather than waiting until January, but I'm a bit worried OH may freak out and want to use a condom instead. If I remember rightly thats happened a few times to some of you, and I think its just a man panic thing. We'll see what happens!
