I know stark I remember you saying about your sore nips (I think?), it sobered me up yesterday (in the nicest possible way) that it can also be a symptom of PMS.

I'm 37, ttc #1, cycle 1.
Hoping for a Christmas miracle as I'm meant to ovulate between the 15-18th DecemberXmas Smile and I have a 9-10 day luteal phase so maybe just maybe I'll be testing Christmas Day!

Runner05 · 09/12/2015 18:14

Are you sure you shouldn't test again Ni some people take longer to get a positive than others...

Ni4444 · 09/12/2015 18:06

Happy Bday Bunch, have an amazing time in Paree!! Hope you shock the socks off them with your announcement!

Going silently mad waiting for AF here! Every time I go to the loo and there's no sign my mind gets a bit excited "maybe the tests were wrong"! Trying not to think about that! This is torture! Appetite increase, fatigue and little headaches keeping me company this evening! Feel like skipping yoga and laying on the couch!

Runner05 · 09/12/2015 18:00

Ooo food thing. I have that but my boobs are still very tender and I'm running on fart power atm... I'm hoping I will later be able to use pregnancy as an excuse for that but also still not feeling pregnant.
Give it a couple of days Grin

shelbTa · 09/12/2015 17:57

Runner - phantom symptom spotting is something I think I will excel at! I haven't had much of an appetite at all today, ie not fancying food, but then when it's put down in front of me I'm ravenous. Also, I've had a bad headache / migraine every day nearly since I came off the pill, but I haven't had one since Friday. Boobs don't hurt and not bloated anymore. Still feel zero pregnant though!

BunchOfBobs · 09/12/2015 17:36

Thanks everyone. I'm super excited.

I did Mor and got a flu jab last week. You now qualify for one of you're pregnant- I get them anyway due to asthmatic I don't speak much whilst in Paris have a great weekend everyone and I'll let you know how the big reveal goes. We leave early tomorrow and I still have my nails to do Wink

Pinklily1 · 09/12/2015 17:33

Have an amazing time in Paris Bunch!

Morwenna1 · 09/12/2015 16:48

Hmm, they may do things differently in your area I guess...and I suppose it could vary from practice to practice. I'd ring up at the least and tell them you want to make sure all your relevant vaccinations are up to date as you're TTC. They can't say no to that! Then they can tell you the outcome of that over the phone. I think it was Rubella etc that sort of thing. I kinda knew the answer, but I wanted to double check for peace of mind as you won't be able to have those jabs when you're actually pregnant. Bunch - did you have a check to make sure your jabs are all up to date?

Also, I have changed docs, so it could be they didn't have much info on file for me and wanted to check as a precaution anyway.

As for being passed from pillar to post between the surgery and FP, that's bad! and confusing...the surgery are the ones that need to sort this out I reckon.

Runner05 · 09/12/2015 16:22

Mor I did book a preconception appointment about 3 months ago but the woman at the surgery had never heard of it and told me to call family planning who told me to call the surgery Hmm

When I did get my appointment the didn't check that I was up to date on shots or anything. Just asked about lifestyle and told me not to come back until pregnant Confused

shelbTa · 09/12/2015 15:44

Runner - do it, I'm still drinking during this first week, not heavily but enjoying the festivities.

PS - I decided to start a thread over in the Pregnancy forum, as the craziness is only going to get crazier and I'm going to need help. Here's hoping and wishing you'll all talk to me over there soon! Smile I'll put the kettle on and tidy up a bit.

Morwenna1 · 09/12/2015 14:12

Hello! Sorry, I've been a bit distracted! Smile

I did another test this morning Bunch - one of my FRER's this time instead of the cheapo ones. Line was stronger than the control line, so that's a definite positive! Grin Starting to sink in, had a restless night's sleep and my bladder got me out of bed early too! Grin

Runner - I spoke to the Dr's this morning. They are fully booked all next week, and will release new appointments on Monday morning...so fingers crossed I can get seen. Rung up the local maternity hospital and then reassured me that there isn't an issue if I can't get seen before Christmas as they don't normally until 10 weeks (bit late I thought Bunch?Your 8 weeks sounds better!) Just told me to keep growing (!) and then gave me details of the clinic they run locally. I'll see what happens on Monday morning. Dr's receptionist wasn't that helpful, the hospital receptionist was v friendly and reassuring.

Constant farting? Onto a winner there! Copious amounts of wind. Fx for you!

I did book a pre-conception check up with Doc. If you ring in advance the surgery can check that your Rubella etc. is all up to date beforehand (they won't be able to tell you this on the day). She took my blood pressure, asked a few questions about lifestyle (drinking, smoking etc.) and then basically just told me to get on with things and call back when I'm upduffed! You're not wasting their time, you'll be saving time in the future by getting some early checks done and sorted. And it will put your mind at rest. Just tell them you want to discuss family planning with a doctor and don't let them put you off!!

I just bought honey and nut belvita's....this is going to take some getting used to!! Confused Do you reckon they'll be ok?

Have a nice time in Paris Bunch!

Runner05 · 09/12/2015 13:17

Thanks Bunch

Shelb funny you should say that, I'm exactly the same. Last month I was sure I was pregnant because I felt pregnant. Today I'm sure I'm not because apart from tender boobs, like you I feel nothing.

Oh well, guess we'll have to wait and see but I think it's going to be a no from me this month. Might just say aid it and drink at the Christmas party tomorrow Hmm

shelbTa · 09/12/2015 09:36

How exciting bunch! Smile and enjoy your weekend in Paris.

Runner - I couldn't feel less pregnant today, apart from slightly tender boobs there is nothing. Nada. Zilch.

BunchOfBobs · 09/12/2015 09:25

I was in with the GP for a repeat prescription and mentioned then I wanted to TTC. They printed of a leaflet, checked my my smear was due (as can't get one when preg) and gave me advice on vitamins etc. I wouldn't have made a specific appointment for it but I did bring it up whilst there. They told me just to tell reception when I had a bfp and they'd pass on midwife details.

Monday I called them and was given the midwife unit number (self referral evidently), they also said GP would give enough a call back to have a chat.
Midwife took details and said that I won't have an appointment until 8 weeks but not to expect a call to arrange it until after christmas. This is where it varies a lot I think a slots of people have their appointments upon making this call. GP called back and first thing she asked was "how do you feel about the news" then congratulated me on it. she then told me what food I should be avoiding (including nuts as apparently there's a tentative link between pgmums eating nuts and babies have but allergies Shock). Now I'm supposed to just wait until I get my booking in appointment. I'm sensing a looooong wait.

Mor how about you? If you're anything like me though you won't be calling the Drs for another day or so until it feels more real.

Runner05 · 09/12/2015 09:10

How exciting Bunch I bet you can't wait to tell them allGrin

So Bunch, Mor what was the drill with telling the dr's? What did they say/do?
I ask because the NHS website does tell you what to do and what will happen next but it also tells you to book a preconception appointment to go over your health etc. and when I called my Dr's a few months ago to do that they had never heard the term and made it clear I was wasting their time Hmm so I've come to the conclusion that what the NHS website says and what actually happens are two different things.

11days until test day not that I'm counting no symptoms except tender breasts that are sticking around unless you count constant farting! Confused
