I know some ppl try a lot longer but this is getting me really down now. I've had an internal ultrasound and everything looks fine apart from me having mild polycystic ovaries but I don't have any of the other symptoms and my husband's SA was good.
I just don't understand what's not working. I guess I'm just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat? Or has any thoughts about anything else we can try? Already use cbfm to time when to bd, take prenatals, hardly drink and have cut out caffeine. Life TTC is getting a bit dull to be honest!!

Yeah a break will do you good. R&R will probably help with the current cycle too.

Yes I have, but all I keep reading is that my levels of hcg must be low but does that mean if I am pregnant I could have a higher risk of losing it or that there may be complications etc? I also keep thinking what if the twinges were a cyst or something.

Im using internet cheapies one step, but also used a waitrose and clear blue ones on Saturday.

I feel like we are commanderring this thread Confused x

Panda1985 · 18/11/2015 19:07

You must be pregnant what is the other explanation?! Have you been googling a lot about how late ppl have got bfps? Are you using a branded test or just internet cheapies?

I'm ok, I need to find some pma from somewhere though cus I feel it's all deserted me at the min. Just finished work for a week and a half though, we're not really going anywhere but it'll be nice to chill out and spend some time together do nice stuff.

Yes he just as fed up, which is nice really. Means I have that support. Dont think they get it like women do but its still nice that in his own way he with me.

Temp rose again this morn. But yet another BFN!!! How are you today? X

Panda1985 · 17/11/2015 19:45

Yeah the feeling of a complete lack of control is so difficult, especially for someone like me an impatient control freak Smile

Is your DH as down/frustrated as you? Mine is much more philosophical about it which is frustrating in itself at times.

Hmm try not to worry, I'm sure it's nothing to be concerned about. I swear I always had these twinges but I was just never paying attention before.

Tootsieroll1 · 17/11/2015 19:19

DH and I said that the other day, not knowing is becoming frustrating. Id be happy to wait too as long as I knew there was a light at the end of the tunnel.

Yes twinges in my left side x

Panda1985 · 17/11/2015 19:05

Oh so you're experiencing pain? I'm so shocked she wouldn't even consider a blood test. Really hope you have better luck with your regular doctor.

I'm ok, I just feel so deflated by it all. If someone could just say it'll be another 6 months but then it'll happen, I'd be happy to wait. It's the not knowing when or even if this will ever happen!

OP posts:
Tootsieroll1 · 17/11/2015 17:41

The pains are making me concerned its a cycst or something. Or maybe it just wasnt a sticky baby. No tests are even slightly positive so I cant help but feel pessimistic.

She was just totally rubbish, I mentioned a blood test and she just said we dont do them here. Which is bollocks because I've had numerous tests there before. Ive booked to see my regular doctor again but can't see him until Monday.

Feel even more fed up tbh!

How you feeling after your work colleague? X

Panda1985 · 17/11/2015 17:05

She wouldn't even give you a blood test? That's mental! I would be feeling cautiously optimistic if I were you. If you're confident when you ov'd what other explanation could there be?
x

OP posts:
Tootsieroll1 · 17/11/2015 16:46

Docto was a complete waste of time. She just said you could be or you may not be, keep testing and come back in a week. At one point she literally said and what did you think we could do for you?

I asked her if its common for people to take ages to get a positive and she said that with her three pregnancies it took 5/6 weeks. Which probably explains her total lack of empathy or help.

X

Panda1985 · 17/11/2015 16:04

Hope things went well at the docs and you feel like they're actually going to do something.

I've never spoken to her about it openly but DH works at the same place, she knows us both well and I think she probably would have guessed. Oh well, what are you going to do except keep trying eh?!

Tootsieroll1 · 17/11/2015 12:49

Last tested yesterday.

Yeah its a really tough thing to hear. I feel for you. Does she know you are trying? x

Panda1985 · 17/11/2015 12:30

p.s. I'm sure nothing is wrong!

OP posts:
Panda1985 · 17/11/2015 12:29

Well hopefully you can get some answers off the dr. When did you last test?

At work we are relatively close, I'd definitely consider her a friend. Went and had a few tears in loo, I'm happy for her but just so sad for me and DH.

OP posts:
Tootsieroll1 · 17/11/2015 11:56

Nope nothing! I wish there were some other symptoms. I just think something is wrong.

Oh no. Are you close to her? x

Panda1985 · 17/11/2015 11:32

Well I definitely think a blood test is in order. Have you got any other symptoms apart from cm?

Literally just found out someone I work with closely is pregnant. Feel like crying, she can only have been trying a couple of months.

Yes it seems we're pretty much exactly the same. Hopefully we both get pregnant soon, if you aren't already Smile

OP posts:
Tootsieroll1 · 16/11/2015 22:54

Well my temps and my opks show ov for that date plus im normally pretty spot on at judging just by my cm. I normally only have a 10/12 day luteul phase so this is a bit ab norm!

Seems like we are pretty much in the same boat of you waited 9 months after marriage and then its taken 10 months since. X

Panda1985 · 16/11/2015 22:37

22dpo oh jeeez! And I guess you're sure about when you ovulated? Are your cycles usually really long? I definitely think a trip to the docs in order. I'd get them to do a blood test.

OP posts:
Tootsieroll1 · 16/11/2015 22:07

Im 22dpo, and still getting BFN, cervix is high as well. It rose again about 10dpo. Its been so long that I've lost hope though. Im starting to think something is wrong. No other symptoms though, just twinges on my left side from about 7dpo. Driving me mad! X

Panda1985 · 16/11/2015 20:12

Well to be fair at the time I was dead excited for her bcus it was before I was even married. She literally got married and was pregnant the next month. We waited like 9 months and it's been another 10 now! I just hoped it would happen for me like it did her, especially cus I've always been regular, not too heavy, no pain, haven't taken bc in like 6 yrs. I just never envisaged it would be this hard.
Where are you in your cycle? Lots of creamy cm could be a really good sign!!

Tootsieroll1 · 16/11/2015 19:54

Oh lucky her! That must have been a bit bitter sweet for you to hear.

Its an alternative to primrose oil. I like the Vitex, until this cycle I felt like it had really started to bring me in check but this month I'm all over the place again so who knows what it was that was actually helping.

We've been married 18 months. I've just made an appointment with a doctor tomorrow afternoon, a lady. Hopefully being female she may be more understanding but I still don't have any hint of AF and (TMI.....) lots of creamy cm. Getting really fed up! x

Panda1985 · 16/11/2015 19:45

I am 30 and DH is 28, more and more I wish those number were the other way round! How long have you guys been married?
Unfortunately for me, but wonderfully for her, one of my best mates literally had a quick shag and popped a baby out 9 months later. Lucky bitch Grin
Never heard of black currant seed oil, did she say what it's meant to do? I just keep thinking so many ppl get pregnant when they're drinking, smoking and eating what they like, can all these supplements really help but at least I feel like I'm doing something. How do you find the vitex?
x

OP posts:
Tootsieroll1 · 16/11/2015 19:29

I'm 29 as is DH and yes, we were the first to get married and now the first to try for a baby. So for them its just very exciting that there might be a baby around, which of course it is but its not a quick shag and nine month later out slides a beautiful babe Grin

How about you?

I'm on pregnacare too, agnus castus/vitex, zinc + vitamin c and folic acid. A nutritionist recommended blackcurrant seed oil or something like that but I haven't tried it, I honestly think you could end up taking everything under the sun if you listened to all the advice.

x

Panda1985 · 16/11/2015 18:37

Yeah as much as they can listen and say nice things, you just don't get this until you live it. How old are you? Are you the first one of your friends to try?

Well as it stands I'm just on pregnacare. I was taking evening primrose, vitex, b6 and beetroot capsules when I was at my most nuts! I've stopped it all cus i'm just not sure it was doing me any good. How about you?

x

Tootsieroll1 · 16/11/2015 18:18

Only close friends but only because I couldnt keep it from my best friend everytime I had a drink with her id start crying ha! And the other few I told because they kept saying "when are you going to have a baby" or "we really want you to have a baby" in the end I just told them to shut them up. Not one of them inderstands though.

What suppliments or vitamins are you taking? Xx

Panda1985 · 16/11/2015 16:47

Yep can completely relate to that! A horrible catch 22 when this whole process makes you feel like getting blind drunk at times!

Do many ppl know you're trying? I think most of my friends have guessed, so I get sympathetic looks when I make excuses for not staying out drinking with them. Thankfully my line manager is really supportive as she's struggling to have her second so she didn't look at me like a loony when I burst into tears at work when AF arrived the other month!
