Positive at 7dpo? - I've been a bit silly.

Me and DH are trying again. It took us 8 months to get DD and I was very very ill in my pregnancy with severe HG, I lost 2 stone, and DD was born at 31 weeks. It took a lot to decide for number two and we started trying the month we were married (fertile window as the wedding weekend.)

We are now in the TTW of cycle 3. I bought some cheapy tests of the internet last week.

I lost a friend over the weekend, he was only 32. I was feeling a bit shit about it. We found out we were having DD the month after I lost my DNana.

Last night something came over me and I tested at 7dpo, even though I knew it was too early.

It came up with the faintest positive, I thought it might be an evap so took another. Same again.

Did one with FMU today and a line again, slightly darker.

Now I'm shitting myself. First off, doesn't a really early positive mean it could be a chemical or ectopic, I'm sure I read that some where.

Also, last time, when I was so ill they sent me at 7 weeks for a scan to check for multiples. There was only one baby but the consultant said I was producing enough hormone to sustain 8 babies and that was probably why I was so ill.

Could the early test be because I'm over producing hormone again? Am I going to be really ill again.

Am I even pregnant? So confused. I feel a bit silly for testing so early.

I saw a line in all your pics!
Congratulations Thanks

MummyBex1985 · 10/11/2015 18:47

I'm really pleased you've come round. There's no doubting that line is there!

FX you have an easier ride this time. Your last PG sounds like a nightmare.

BumpAndGrind · 10/11/2015 15:49

It's really obvious today, isn't it.

I've told DH, he's shocked it happened so quick, but happy.

I just hope it's a sticky bean now.

Thanks to everyone that kept me sane yesterday. :)

Put the test on a white piece of paper and take the picture shows more :) defo a line there though! Xx

It does look like there is a line in the second picture, yes. With regards to feeling scared - I completely get it. I was absolutely terrified when I got a positive a couple of months ago because I'd had HG in my first. I hope you don't mind my saying so, but from your posts above it doesn't sound like you were getting the best care. Multiple admissions and tears like that, so late in pregnancy are an obvious sign that the cyclizine wasn't working properly. Cyclizine is only the first line treatment too. If you do get HG again then please push for second or third line treatments such at metrocloprimide and ondansetron if you find the cyclizine isn't making you better. I was on cyclizine until after my fourth hospital admission and then my brilliant consultant put me on ondansetron. I'm still not better, but it has been a huge improvement.
I hope you get the result you are hoping for Flowers

I can't tell him tonight anyway. We have friends coming over for food, fireworks and the walking dead.

I bought a little selection box of fountains for the toddler on the 5th. This is the first night I've not been working late and the first time in an age me and my friend have had days off work that coincide.

DH would very much like another, if anything it was me that wasn't so sure.

I don't know if he would freak out with the fact that we hardly tried! DD took 8 months.

It's just because it's so early. I don't want to tell him then it be a chemical or something.

Badders123 · 09/11/2015 15:52

Is Dh the "easily freak out able" type? Or the calm and considered type?
If the latter, then tell him.

Badders123 · 09/11/2015 15:52

I think it can be normal tbh.
I had 2 very much wanted pg and with each bfp I was like "what!!!? What I am I doing!!?"

Badders123 · 09/11/2015 15:51

Hmmm....would telling him early perhaps make him more prepared if you were as poorly as last time?

BumpAndGrind · 09/11/2015 15:50

I've binned all the tests and taken the bins out. Is that denial? I kept the ones from DD.

I think I'll wait until at least a missed af before contacting the GP, but yup, good idea.

They did say that I over produced hormone last time, so I think that's why it's + so early. That makes me more scared though.

I still don't know whether to tell DH or wait until missed af?

Badders123 · 09/11/2015 15:45

Fucking hell.
Not surprising you are scared!
Can you get a gp appt and get some meds in....just in case?

BumpAndGrind · 09/11/2015 15:44

In my last pregnancy I was very ill from 7 weeks.

I was hospitalised at 8, 12 and 28 weeks, for a week each time. I had to check my Ketones daily. I was on Cyclizine.

I lost 2 stone while pregnant (I was 2 stone lighter with DD still in me just before I had her!) I tore my osophagus 4 times and slipped in my own vomit while rushing to a suitable vessel at 31 weeks, I cracked a tail bone and ruptured my waters.

DD came at 31+3.

Did I mention I'm scared?

OP posts:
BumpAndGrind · 09/11/2015 15:40

It's faint but there.

I'm really scared. Don't want to tell DH incase it's wrong but so so scared. Don't want to tell anyone else in rl before DH incase it's right.

Hence harrassing you lot.

Sorry

Thank you all that have replied and humoured me today.

I'm a bit woo. I like to think my friend is watching over.

Yea I can see a faint pink line when zoom in on pic. I belive you can't get a false positive.. try in morning tomorrow

Badders123 · 09/11/2015 15:36

I can see a line in that pic!

BumpAndGrind · 09/11/2015 15:32

I just did another (i'm obsessing now)

Darker than this morning (I really think FMU is a myth for me)

Still can't seem to get a decent photo of the line though.

Not sure whether to tell DH or if I might get his hopes up for nothing.

It's emotional, isn't it? This TTC Lark...

Badders123 · 09/11/2015 14:04

Hmmmm...but they could do hcg bloods?
Sorry it's been ages since I was pg!
I had early scans due to previous losses.

BumpAndGrind · 09/11/2015 14:01

I'm sure if I really am only 7-9dpo (I think OV was last Saturday) a scan will show nothing?

BumpAndGrind · 09/11/2015 13:59

The picture is terrible but the line is there. I don't even need to squint!
