Happy Birthday.

Have a lovely day

sparklytreeangel · 20/12/2006 09:37

It's my birthday today

I hope everyone is happy today Fingers crossed for more Dec BFPs

honeyapple · 20/12/2006 09:30

Hi guys,
Congrates to the BFPs! and to AFs.xx
I've been away this weekend at Disneyland which was fantastic... would advise to never go on a sunday though as SOOOO busy. On Monday the park was almost empty! So we didnt have to queue very long for anything. It was freezing and very Christmassy. Kids loved it. Feeling very festive and happy today, despite only 5 days till AF due.
(Dont want to be symptom spotting but my boobs have got bigger!! Is this just pre-AF?? I dunno!)

MrsMcClaus · 20/12/2006 08:47

Babylove, poor you, sending huge hugs, go and make use of that benefit is what I say

XmassyCharlotte - I know exactly how you feel and many of us have been there. We'll try our best to keep you sane on the TTC rollercoaster.

Hello KitKat - hope the old bag stays away. Hello to Greedy and Ready and Sparkly and Geek and anyone I might have missed out - are you ou there Impatience? how are you?

DH is fine, getting better and job is good but very busy and I just daren't log in from there so am in an internet cafe before I go in.

Had a few mulled wines last night and when I came in DH told me a close friend was pregnant, I was and happy all at once. I saw her on Sunday and you could just tell! She's due in June..... I want my bundle of joy!!

I have to be in London on buisness over the vital week in Jan so hope we crack it this cycle!!

MrsMcClaus · 20/12/2006 08:40

Morning ladies Nipped in for 10 mins and will try and catch up but if I don't manage, hello to you all and I have been thinking about you. Not sure if I have OVd yet, think I might have on Monday but my temp is low today but then again, I have a cold. BDed twice on Sunday and once on Monday so not great efforts but think I'm still in with a chance. Speak properly soon xx

whoopsfallenoffthexmastree · 20/12/2006 06:26

Good luck at the docs today babylove!
Well I've been naughty and tested! I did one last night which I'm sure there was a faint pos but just done one this morning and it was bfn!
Someone chop my hands off so I don;t do another for at least a week!

ladybug007 · 19/12/2006 23:40

Agree with Rudolphsready - whatever makes you happy is good. You're going through a weird time and you need support.

babylove123 · 19/12/2006 19:17

thanks rudolph! Will let them know they're answerable to you!!!!

RudolphsREADY · 19/12/2006 18:54

No one should think "she's too good for the NHS" that would be ridiculous!!!! If people have the provisions for private healthcare, that is fantastic surely!!?? Who in their right mind could argue against it??? It is one less person on the list having to wait for medical assistance in an already overwhelmed health service is it not?? Go for it!! And don't feel bad about it! And if anyone makes a negative comment, send them to see me All the best babylove!

babylove123 · 19/12/2006 18:34

Hey Geek and Rudolph,

Thanks for that. Some ppl get funny about the private insurance thing, think im "too good for NHS" but thats not true. Im going to ask either for the blood test or even better, an ultrasound. That way then i can completely dispell the whole "pregnancy" thing and move forward. Its just whilst im in limbo that i cant cope. I mean when you're late, its like "oooh im pregnant" 17 days on, its getting a bit silly. It probably is just a missed period but the symptoms i've had and that fact that i had mini cramps and they've gone with no af makes me wonder. I just wanna know for sure whether i am pg or not, then i can move on to next month

Got myself so worked up that i text my sis last nite and told her everything. Was so worried she'd kill me but she infact was great! I shocked her of course but she was really good. Now just wishing i had someone i cld take with me 2 docs 2morro (must think strong thoughts!)

RudolphsREADY · 19/12/2006 18:06

Why would we hate you Babylove for using your private medical insurance?? You should do whatever you need to do to put your mind at ease! I hope you get some answers soon, and if that means a private consultation or two, then more power to you!! Fingers crossed for you flower!!

OP posts:
geekInSillySantaHat · 19/12/2006 17:59

Oh babylove, so sorry for you. And no, that doesn't sound selfish at all, of course you want to find out whether there's anything specifically weird, or whether you're just suffering from the normal fluctuations bodies go through - really hope it's the latter. Try to enjoy the holiday season in the mean time! ((hugs))

sparklytree - liking some of those suggestions, might have to try them out. Of course AF might have arrived by then and I'll be drowning my sorrows instead, but hey, trying to stay positive!

babylove123 · 19/12/2006 17:47

Hi,

I expect you'll have already read through my thread anyway but test was bfn. Got myself extremely upset yesterday and today and feeling awfully low going to see docs 2morro. Gonna tell him how im really feeling and ask him if theres anything i can do to find out for sure. Dont hate me for it but i have private medical insurance so im tempted to use it and see how far i get. I just bascially wanna know, its ruining everything @ the mo. Sound selfish? Sorry if it does

RudolphsREADY · 19/12/2006 17:46

Aaaw Greedy, you ol' softy!! I know what you mean though, I hate seeing others AFs too. I want everyone to get a BFP either on this thread or the Jan thread!! Including ME!

OP posts:
greedyformincepies · 19/12/2006 17:23

its not like me to get all soppy!

greedyformincepies · 19/12/2006 17:23

sorry to everyone with af! she is such a whore isnt she? i know it sounds lame, but i really feel for everyone when their af arrives and they are desperatley ttc. big christmas hugs amd kisses all around!!!!!!!!!

sparklytreeangel · 19/12/2006 16:57

Hey KitKat to AF but to some nice Christmas grog! A good consolation prize this month!

Greedy, yes I am a night owl much to the annoyance of dh! I am definitely not trendy! i'd like to think of myself as friendly and fun, but there are plenty of trendier women than me who look imaculate in the mornings

Hey Charlotte glad you are feeling a bit better. It is annoying missing on the peak days but three days before is good... fingers crossed.
I think we started bd to early and I OVd later so knackered dh out oops

I plan on testing Xmas day, but AF is due on 27 now unless i have a short luteal phase...

Rudolph, great idea real sex campaign we have banned the phrase bd at home and it seems to be working

Geek, we had a party too and I was rushed of my feet and found it hard to drink!
Ideas:
Have a bottle in your hand topping people up so they remember you with alcohol
Buy grape juice and put it in a wine glass
Keep losing your glass or get dh to drink it in the hallway
Fake a long drive the next day, stomach bug, hangover, antibiotics

Big hug Yule Tideway sorry it wasn't your month

YuleTideways · 19/12/2006 14:16

Juicy - forgot to say thanke very much

YuleTideways · 19/12/2006 14:15

Sending lots of luck to all of you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Juicythe2ndnotsowiseman · 19/12/2006 12:54

Ticklemepink - just seen your news!!! CONGRATULATIONS

You must pass on the sticks - they must be magic - I got my BFP before I got the chance to use them too!! They must be springled with babydust!!

Yuletideways - expecting your BFP news any minute

geekInSillySantaHat · 19/12/2006 12:10

Hey all! Yep I'm still here in December (just) - OV'd at the weekend, AF/BFP due 30th Dec (same as MadameBrandyButterfly!). That's going to be an interesting one if AF is late/absent - we're hosting a new years eve party at our house, so can't use driving as an excuse for avoiding all the alcohol that'll be sloshing around! Hmmm...

Sorry to the people who've had AF recently, I know how gutting it is at first. But Christmas and holidays and fun for the next couple of weeks, so before you know it you'll be all excited again about the next cycle!

Still waiting to hear from babylove, she was testing yesterday I think? Tut tut, keeping us all in suspense...
