I filled up the last thread - sorry ladies... so thought I best start a new one since there is still a long ol' time to go in December!

sorry to hear about af by the way, i posted on the other thread to you too!

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 10:23

are you ttc your first pesme? how old are you? have you had any tests done? i am thinking of going to the docs in january if nothing has happened by then

pesme · 08/12/2006 10:14

af came this morning gfmp. i agree with you about drinking during the 2wk. i don't go crazy but after over a year at this i just get on with things no point in obsess and thinking what if every month.

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 10:10

what have i missed then pesme? i am going to check out the other thread! can't we all just stick to this one, it would be so much easier!
uki.....good luck!
well cd41 for me today and spotting seems to have stopped a bit ( i just KNOW that is tempting fate!) i feel like i have been saying this all week (probably cos i have!) but my temp is still up (higher than ever today!) so i still dont know whats happening! it all sounds so promising except for BFN i got yesterday!

re drinking in 2ww - i always have i am afraid. i know you shouldn't in an ideal world, but for my sanity i do! if i stopped i would feel like i was assuming i was pg, so its also kind of a double bluff.....IYSWIM!

mrsmcspink- enjoy your last day at work, dont expect we will hear much from you today will we, too busy with RL! hope your cat is a bit better!

i am feeling a bit chirpier today in general, i think getting my high temp again this morning has given me renewed hope! how long will it last before i get brought back down to earth by old af i wonder!?
my ds has got his nativity play today! he is the star, so not a BIG speaking part, but i still know it will make my heart melt when i watch him! i mean he has the part of the star, not he is the star of the show by the way!

pesme · 08/12/2006 09:54

thanks to sparklytreeangel and mkk for condolances on other thread, thought i should move it here before i get told off! next month should be written off as i will be staying with either my aunt or my parents when i ov. and chances of any 'action' are slim esp. as my bedroom at home is right over teh kitchen.

Uki · 08/12/2006 09:45

HI ALL
I'm on CD 31 of 31 going off last cycle, may test tomorrow but not to hopeful so really don't even feel like testing. I'm sure my bodies just decided to have a long cycle.

Festive and Greedy, I feel for you the last days drag on forever with a longer cycle. But when i was younger I would of killed for a long cycle as time just went to fast, and it felt like AF was every week.

Festive and Merry- I only drink one drink while on two week wait and feel guilty for that as i have nazi dh who thinks you shouldn't have any while TTC and I am banned completely while pg or bf.

At the very most you might consider two drinks,
but only one, if that is really ok, in Australia dr's recommend no drinks at all while pg and theoretically if pg on 2ww you are pg. Also the first three months of development the baby is most susceptable to harm.

Try non-alcoholic wine or a lime and bitters, not that bad honest
Dh has just seen this and said "NONE, why would you risk it".

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, i'm sure to have put the dampner on hoilday drinking. But have worked out it is almost imposible to not have a christmas period when you can't drink, if you consider the 9 months + the TTC and then there's the BF _

Do you know what Greedy - I really can't!!!

festivefettle · 07/12/2006 19:47

That's meant to be "TTC for 2 years for DD" and optimism!!

Spelling!!

xx

greedyformincepies · 07/12/2006 19:46

see thats where i am weird ready! cos i have these sorts of conversations in rl too!

i dont know festivefettle...is af here or not? there may still be hope for us! i dont know what is going on with me......last time i checked....no blood! i will keep you posted!.....i bet you cant wait!!!

festivefettle · 07/12/2006 19:44

Hi All

Lots of crossed posts - I started writing mine then had to go away and by the time I posted, there'd be a whole lot more going on!

So Greedy it's not all over yet - hang in there!

Ready I'm sure it won't be long until you are pg - experiencing all those wonderful feelings (Although I have to say the nausea is awful! - well it was for me!). And Greedy is right you will appreciate it all the more, as its taken you longer. It took 2 years for us to conceive DD and it was just amazing when finally we got that BFP!

Big knickers, that's me, by the way. But pretty shorts ones - like Ready, I don't have the figure for small knickers shall we say! DH seems to like my enormous knickers . M&S are doing a good range of pretty shorts at the mo!

Anyway, I really have to go, DH does think I spend too long on here. So quickly, I can't remember who asked (Sorry) about my referral yesterday, but I told the truth about our history: 2 TTC DD, preliminary tests and referral prior to BFP. 10 mths TTC, then mc at 9 weeks in Feb and been trying since then (Even said DH had been away for 5 months of this year, so she knows I can't have been trying much of this year!) She's of the opinion that if she refers me, I'll get another BFP - I wish I had her optomism!!

Quick question for all: 2WW how much do you drink? Going to in-laws tomorrow for "Christmas" and at 8DPO even I agree with the ClearBlueFairy that they'll be no point testing tomorrow just in case, but I don't want to spend all weekend not drinking. So tricky!

Anyway, hopefully I'll be able to pop back later or in the morning, before we are off - I'll never catch up on this thread when we back on Monday!!. Here's hoping for some BFPs while I'm away.

BTW - MrsMcS - did the ipod trick work?

Take care all
Big Hugs all round as I have a feeling we are all a bit low {{{{{HUGS}}}}}.

RudolphsREADY · 07/12/2006 19:07

Oh Mincepieshu - hug!! You will get your BFP on New Years Eve!! And those big (o)(o) will be the milk production setting up shop!!

Greedy - NICE underwear, pretty things, not sexy strings I have a big bottom, which requires coverage, so wearing pads at AF is not a problem now if I wore g strings then clearly I would make one hell of a mess!! tee hee. I can't imagine having this kind of conversation with anyone I know in real life... is that sad? or sane?

Oh Greedy - honey - big hugs - I take it AF really has started then today? I do really sympathise with you, I hate having long cycles. You hear people say (in real life, not the lovely ladies on here) oh well there is always next month, and I want to scream you mean the one after that!

I'll hopefully pop back later to say a proper hello to everyone - DH grumpy as I spend too much time on here and it is DD's bathtime!

take care all

MincePieShu · 07/12/2006 18:56

Well - AF arrived with none of the "is it? isn't it?" preamble, so CD1 here for me and I came home early as I can feel the cramps kicking in. But, am due to ov toward the end of our pre-Christmas holiday, and boobs will be at their pre-AF biggest (and most painful )for the new year party

We're cycle buddies, then, Minxpie, which is good, having such similar festive names Sorry about AF, TT, too. Hope she stays away from the rest of you!!!

ImpatientElf - you asked about my male friend who was on the other side of your situation - unfortunately, all their plans are now on hold for various reasons, so we won't be getting any updates from there.

Anyhoo - have ignored DH enough this evening... Maybe getting some new undies will make him feel better Obviously will wait until AF has buggered off.

BoJingles · 07/12/2006 18:49

.... to the Af and undies coversation not spelling (although spelling can be a shocker at times)

BoJingles · 07/12/2006 18:48

Ditto Greedy

greedyformincepies · 07/12/2006 18:45

whoops i can spell really!

greedyformincepies · 07/12/2006 18:44

mind you.....when af visits me, she brings all her freinds with her and they REALLY paint the town red!

greedyformincepies · 07/12/2006 18:43

oh ready! you will get to do all those things very soon and you will enjoy them even more than most because you want it so bad and appreciate ttc isnt a peice of piss!

by the way.....you wear sexy undies during af AND you dont use tampons! wow! dont you ruin loads of knickers? i would!

greedyformincepies · 07/12/2006 18:39

you sound very similar to me honeyapple. it is lovely to be pg for the first time isnt it, and it is something you never get back. its SOOOOOOOOO exciting and everyone makes you feel so special and you lot will all be experiencing it soon dont worry. also, i wanted a spring baby, but that turned into wanting a summer baby to now i dont really care when....i just want one. i feel the same as you, i know how hard it would make my life when my two are just getting so much easier to look after, but i never thought of my last pregnancy as my last one or my dd as my last baby....so i want more.......hundreds of them!!!!!they are so cute!

BUT........I HAVEN'T GOT A CLUE WHAT IS GOING ON WITH MY BODY!!!!

my spotting seems to have stopped temporarily and so i am just waiting until morning again to see what my temp is doing. surely if i was pg i wouldn't have got a bfn this morning on 13 or 15 dpo?

minxi - sorry about af, forgot to say it to you earlier.

RudolphsREADY · 07/12/2006 18:37

Sparklytreeangel, I like grey personally, so it's not lame in my book! The style is what makes it sexy anyway Go girl with your g-string!!

BoJingles & Greedy - I like to wear nice underwear during AF out of principal! But I do have big minger pants for sleeping in during AF

Honeyapple - Your post made me cry just now - not that I need much help setting me off at the moment(another sure sign that AF is on her effing way!) and not just cos you didn't like my name suggestion either (how about HoneyappleInYourStocking ) but because I soooo desperately want to feel that first flutter, that first kick, to watch my bump get bigger, to try breastfeeding (even though I have heard it is hell!) to hold my precious baby for the first time, watch him(?) sleep, smell her(?) head, buy those ridiculously expensive nike trainers in baby size, choose my bugaboo colour, watch my DH and baby together..... sob.

Hi greedy...

After a manic morning... and questioning of what another little person would do to my sanity...
I still cant get out of my head how much I WANT ANOTHER BABY!!!

I think the thought of never being pregnant again, never feeling someone moving about and kicking you from inside, never breastfeeding again, and just generally never having a weeny eeny cute screaming pooey baby of my own... makes me sad.

BUT, I am not worrying about when it happens anymore. I was really desperate to have a summer baby as both mine are winter ones, so as that is not going to happen now, I've decided it doesnt matter when I have another. A dark cloud has lifted. Should be BDing a lot at the moment... but fell asleep last night B4 DP got into bed...

Not sure about mulledhoneyapple...

Also, for all you lovely ladies yet to have babies, I am really jealous of you, because when you do get PG you are embarking on a fantastic adventure... the first time is AMAZING/MENTAL/LIFE-SHATTERING!!!!
(Sorry if getting a bit sentimental)

BoJingles · 07/12/2006 18:01

Tinselledtryer - Sorry to hear about AF what a shame Have you been trying long? I know what you mean about knowing that you BD'ed on the right days .....oh its soo frustrating Do you mind me asking what the tests were that you both had - we are having the first lots of tests in Jan
Impatience - Good luck. You never know - this could be you're lucky month by going for it on a different day
Angel - cycle buddy, have fun this weekend, hope the undies are appreciated
Greedy - I thought I was the only one in the world who wore period pants for 4 days of the month....oh to back in nice undies after
MrsMcClause - hmmm no I didn't quite mean eau naturale quite the way you took it - hope you knew what I meant re ST's

greedyformincepies · 07/12/2006 17:03

oh my god i think i am letting the side down on the underwear front!.....i have got my manky period pants on today! not a pretty sight!

sparklytreeangel · 07/12/2006 16:53
