I filled up the last thread - sorry ladies... so thought I best start a new one since there is still a long ol' time to go in December!

OP posts:
MrsMcClaus · 08/12/2006 15:51

MN says she doesn't exist?!

ImpatientElf · 08/12/2006 15:37

I thought you'd know, MrsMcSantaSpink! This is def ewcm then. Still a mystery why it's started up so early. I hope this isn't going to be an anov cycle - can feel myself stressing already! Just when I felt I knew my cycle...

No, I haven't seen Geek about - be a lovely caring lady and CAT her.

MrsMcClaus · 08/12/2006 15:26

Impatience - I know the answer to that one Babygravy has no spink value! It's one of the ways to tell the difference. Also, last night's Babygravy should all have gone by midday today so what you are seeing should be EWCM. Glad it went well last night

Has anyone seen Geek? I am worried about her, she's disappeared since AF arrived. Might CAT her.

Tinselledtryer - what a mean thing to say! I think you definately deserve flowers now. My DH has never bought me flowers. He claims that he bought them for a ex after a row once and she told him they made no difference so he has never bought them since. I've told him that his argument is ridiculous, like saying, I bought someone a Christmas present once but they didn't like it so I don't buy presents anymore anyway, I buy myself gorgeous flowers now and I don't feel guilty or extravagent!!

Honeyapple - let's hope you've done the trick. My Mum always says that about BF too, that you can almost feel your body tightening up and losing weight, let's hope I have twins then I might really tone up .

Thanks Ready, hope you feel better after your rant

Hello to all I haven't mentioned by name

ImpatientElf · 08/12/2006 14:16

Silly Greedy! You wait for ages for a bus then loads come at once. I hope it's not going to be like that with embryos!

I'm pretty sure it's EWCM. I never have sperm in me when I don't have CM: Does sperm give those strings? What's the spink value of sperm?!!!

Tinselledtryer · 08/12/2006 13:50

Greedy - 57 actually . No, I'm 37 and hadn't really considered myself as past it (DD conceived quickly at 35) but I suppose there are thousands of us out there who have left it a bit later that Nature/Biology/Whatever would advise. If I had known how fantastic having a child is, I would have got on with it quicker. Fingers crossed for you!

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 13:24

oh tt - sorry crossed posts with you. bless you! husbands can be gits sometimes cant they? they say stuff without thinking don't they? how old are you by the way.....56? i have fallen for the flower thing before too, you get so excited and then feel really silly for even thinking for a second that they might have been for you! keep smiling!

honeyapple · 08/12/2006 13:23

hello,
Had really good BD last night- like I felt- "that really should do the job!"
Anyone else get that feeling? I dunno, just felt like something was happening...
got some positives on the OPK i've been using as a trial for this month...

Ready- DON'T listen to those that tell you breast feeding is terrible! it really isnt! I loved it- but TBH it did hurt a bit to begin with- just make sure you stick with it and dont give up. Not only is b/f brilliant for baby- it's brilliant for you... I lost all my PG weight and more just breast feeding... all those calories going straight into junior instead of your bum/thighs/hips... BRILLIANT! Best diet ever!

As for boozing- I reckon dont stress about it- But I do think that once you get a BFP you shouldnt drink. Not worth it. I've read that even small amounts can potentially effect IQ of
your baby.

greedy- I love nativities!
My DD is an angel this year. SO sweet.

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 13:21

perve - bus conception!!!??? dont tell me you got the bus to your providers house and then squirted on the way home at the back of the bus!!!! CAN YOU IMAGINE!!!!????
i am glad it was more relaxing for you last night and i feel really special that i have never met you and you followed my advice on something so important. twins would be soooooooo exciting, but i think if you release 2 eggs they are released at the same time aren't they? like someone said yesterday, are you sure it is ewcm and not just baby gravy leaking out? i always find it really hard to tell.

ticklemepinkwithtinsel · 08/12/2006 13:17

hi ladies ,

This thread flys dosnt it! hope everyone is well and sorry for peoples AF arriving , we have done well this week, not sure when i ov but def some point this week as lots of cm ( soory if tmi) but it has started to die down now. we bd on day 18/19/21/23/ and hopefully tomorrow then im going to considered my self 2 week waiting! Good Luck to anyone testing soon.

We are of to bluewater tonight to do some shopping, we must be mad!!!

Tinselledtryer · 08/12/2006 13:17

Hello all. Well, I was feeling reasonably cheery despite AF until DH got home in a bad mood (he'd had an argument with someone at work and was obviously more upset by that than by lack of BFP). I had been hoping to be greeted by a huge hug or even flowers (didn't help that a neighbour got an enormous bunch this morning and I had a split second of thinking they were for me....) - instead I got a grumpy husband. The ensuing row ended with him shouting that he did care and was worried that I was too old to conceive! Double whammy, I now feel like a wizzened old prune! Got far more support from MNers....looks like I have a couple of cycle buddies to keep me company on CD'miserable'2

lovelybird · 08/12/2006 13:14

afternoon all, I've had such a busy week I haven't had chance to post on here.

Have read through the thread, fingers crossed for some more BFP's soon. Congrats to pecka!

I did another test yesterday and it was a definate BFP, and have felt V sick all week, all day and night so hoping this doesn't last too long as too much to do before xmas and haven't felt well enough this week.

I'll keep an eye on this thread and i'll ask santa to bring lots of special babydust your way

sparklytreeangel · 08/12/2006 12:51

Twins wow! fingers crossed!

Pesme you need a turkey baster for your room above the kitchen. Or one of the thingys the self-inseminator ladies use.

CD15 today and still low on CBFM! So going off to do an OPK now

ImpatientElf · 08/12/2006 12:27

Ready, I think you're OK: If you've offended anyone I think they'd be able to disagree with you. I understand how frustrated and agree all this ttc malarky can make you, and it just doesn't seem fair who gets the babies sometimes! (I think you and I had a mutual rant about this last month..?!)

Twins: I've always had a sneeking feeling that I would have twins. Perhaps because I'm completely ridiculous in everything I do. I truly am all or nothing, so this would be entirely fitting... Not sure I'd choose it though!

RudolphsREADY · 08/12/2006 12:06

was it clear that I wasn't angry at MNers, but at their wait for a baby?? hope so.

OP posts:
minxpie · 08/12/2006 11:57

absolutely not ready - think its important to say what you really feel

RudolphsREADY · 08/12/2006 11:56

minxpie - did i overstep the mark??? oops

OP posts:
MadameBRANDYBUTTERfly · 08/12/2006 11:51

Morning everyone.

Sorry to all those that have had AF arrive, good luck to everyone testing in the next few days.

Sorry for not naming everyone, but there are just too maany on here for me to remember who is at which point in their. cycle.

minxpie · 08/12/2006 11:51

mincepieshu - great to have a cycle buddy!!

Need help and advice though - cd1 yesterday took temp (36.7), which I am keeping note of - was out last night and this morning took temp (37.1) is is that much higher because I was drinking far too much wine (obvious reasons) or does your temp jump around that much...do I expect it to be high before ovulation, not done this temp charting before so a bit curious! Thank you...
Ready - you make me laugh so much I think you enjoy this secret talk - you can say what you like without anyone really knowing you... great isn't it !!

RudolphsREADY · 08/12/2006 11:34

I hope my rant made sense... reading it back I am not sure. I am not angry about all the wonderful ladies that will cherish a baby, I am angry that they are having to wait... iyswim

ImpatientElf - Oh wouldn't it be wonderful if you had twins??

OP posts:
pelvicfloorSNOWmore · 08/12/2006 11:34

Just wanted to say that i love the title of this thread

ImpatientElf · 08/12/2006 11:24

I just don't know which thread to be on! Body is being very weird. Usually ov about CD14. Now CD7, still having ewcm (since CD5), boobs starting to tingle and hurt, temp shot up this morning. If I ov'd yesterday I'm a whole week ahead of schedule - bizzare! Insem'd last night according to Greedy's plan. Didn't serenade the little pot because traffic and weather were a bit too demanding, but pot didn't seem bothered. SO much calmer to come home, and insem'd within 90mins of production, so should be fine. Anyone magically know what my body's playing at? Can you ov twice in one cycle - twins?! That would be so like me: fail to conceive for 18months and then two at once. Bus conception

So thanks for the advice Greedy! Sorry you still don't know what your body is doing either.

RudolphsREADY · 08/12/2006 11:00

Morning ladies.

MrsMcClaus: You have reached the finish line in this job, hoorah! Good luck Monday, I hope everything goes well for you, I'll be thinking of you (is that weird?). So sorry that I made you cry, I was blubbing while typing, and my eyes were like 2 little fish bowls... The most shameful thing I must confess to is anger when I see those famous women who dump their newborns with a nanny so they can get in the gym and return to their skeletal size00 body or those bastards that have a precious gift of life and they abuse it and are not fit to be a parent and all the wonderful people I have 'met' on MN that would cherish a baby sorry rant over.

FestiveFettle: Oh I so hope you are right about me, and I promise (!?) that if AF stays away I will not complain about the nausea! My heart aches at the thought of 2 years ttc. You deserve a medal for strength of mind! I will have lost all my spirit if it takes that long Fingers crossed you get your BFP before the referral kicks in!

Greedy - haha, perhaps I need some new friends because our discussions never get into AF or pants even!! Your temps are so promising, my fingers and toes are crossed that you are pg. I think I would probably cry if you were (happy tears! with a little bit of for good measure!! Aw my heart is melting at the thought of your DS being the star of David... that is after all the most important part... without him no one would be able to find Baby Jesus!!

MerryKitkatmas: Good for you not testing early! I had never thought about it from that angle either, no one believing the BFN anyway, that makes it even more pointless! With regards to alcohol, I have been thinking about that recently, in Europe, wine is served at meal times, and I wonder how many of those women abstain?? I don't think a little bit will hurt. I don't drink so it is easy for me, but I totally understand why it isn't easy. I think moderation is the key here!

Uki: Don't test until you are a couple of days late. That is my motto anyway

Pesme: We've got both our families here with us over OV time, but I still fully intend to get plenty of action... it'll just be the quiet variety You should just go for it, it'll make you feel like a teenager again

XmassyCharlotte: I am so totally with you on the inner mother. Mine is just bursting to get out!

Hope everyone else is ok?

FactsAndFigures · 08/12/2006 10:47

Hello festive names - I'll have to think of one too!

Apologies for not posting for a while, I've been away with work.

I thought this morning that I would try catching up with the thread - which is now threads!! But must admit I've given up. I must make a point of coming on here daily to be able to keep up with you all!

Well my AF is due today but as yet there's no sign. Although I've been having the strangest feeling in my abdomen. I noticed it last night when I was in bed, it felt like I had butterflies in my tummy - the feeling that I get when I'm nervous (except I'm not!) and again this morning - not sure what to be making of this Apart from that I've got no other symptoms of either AF coming or being BFP - any thoughts?

XmassyCharlotte · 08/12/2006 10:38

Greedy - my godson is playing the star in his nativity play this morning... SOOOO sweet; hearing him practising his singing of 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' as he skips down the road (he is unbelievably excited and aged 3) just gets my Inner Mother crying out for a baby of her own!!

MrsMcClaus · 08/12/2006 10:24

Sparklytreeangel ? at your dressing up! I made up my ?santa suit? myself! It is a red balconette bra and matching tie side knickers and a red negligee to go over the top, knee high black boots and my santa hat! It was funny actually because when I was getting the ?outfit? together 5 years ago now ad bought the negligee, DH actually bought me exactly the same one for Christmas ? he must have liked it!

Greedy ? PMSL at the period pants. Have to say, using pads with g strings is a bit awkward, don?t tell me I have to start wearing full pants again! You?ve got to hang in their chick, the wait is a good thing x

BoJingles ? I knew what you meant, I was just pulling your leg!

Hugs Honeyapple ? you will get number 3 x

Rudolph?sReady ? Honeyapple made be well up and you have made me cry! Me too, I want to nuzzle baby toes and pat talc on its bottom and sniff its hair and play with its fingers and see my husband in its face and know that I will never love another living thing as much as I can love my own baby.

MincePieShu ? so sorry hun about AF and hope you are feeling better, great attitude too! Go girl!

FestiveFettle ? just take it easy on the booze, that?s all you can do really. Your GP sounds lovely! Not sure if ipod trick worked, got home 9pm and was too tired to try.

MerryKitKatmas ? it is indeed my last day and have tons to do so trying to catch up really quickly so I can get on with my work! See, I have my priorities right!

Uki ? I hope your DH joins you in abstinence too!!!!!! Fingers crossed for you.

Pesme ? hope you are ok, thinking of you.

AF is gone and the paranoia of if I don?t BD every hour of every day I might miss OV is setting in ? belting myself in for another shot on the TTC RollerCoaster!!!
