I filled up the last thread - sorry ladies... so thought I best start a new one since there is still a long ol' time to go in December!

Hello ladies! I now have 4 trees decorated around my house. DH is going mad with me but I love it .

Decorative - you poor thing, how horrible and you really deserved a great night out too. Hope you feel better today and that the card was cancelled in time

Minxpie - lovely story!

Hi ImpatientElf - you can be rude to me if you like . Sorry to hear about your lack of sleep, that is the most scary thought for me about having a baby, I really need my sleep and without it I am totally irrational and cannot concentrate on anything, no wonder you are feeling tearful. Sending you huge hugs. How annoying about the car, what was that all about then? opportinism? Personally, I prefer burnt sausages so my mouth was watering reading that! . I've just made a cake (I am rubbish at baking, they always sink in the middle ) because we have friends coming for tea with their two little girls aged 1 1/2 and 9 months, looking forward to cuddling them! .

Sorry to hear that you don't feel well either . It is odd about the EWCM and high temps so early, maybe you have OVd? Good plan to carry on just in case though. It would be very odd if it were another annovulatory cycle so close to the last though. I have never read anything about a connection between Cm and annovulatiry cycles.

I do admire you being able to even imagine writing the cycle off, I know I really should be having that attitude with DH laid up but I just cannot, so hope we manage a few BD next week to give us a chance, he seemed ok this morning

ImpatientElf · 10/12/2006 09:59

Morning ladies. So sorry some of you are backing away for a bit, especially Greedy: Who am I going to be rude to now?

I'm OK MrsMc, although ds has had a week of horrendous sleep - I had 4 nights this week of less than 4 hrs sleep, and that in bits. Friday night was even worse, and then found the car had been graffitti'd Like I have spare hours to figure out how to clean that! Am so cross, and have horrible victim feelings too. Then, to cap it off, I thought I'd treat myself to a sausage sarnie, but I burned the sausages, and that was the final straw and I was sobbing my heart out about how this just summed up how crap I was. Sometimes everything just gets too much.

But feel better today. Sleep was much better last night. Am still getting ewcm. Temps high already but don't know whether that's cause I ov'd or because I'm poorly, so really have no idea what's going on! Shall carry on insem'ing every few days until I know. I have a sneaking suspicion this might be annovulatory: the other month I know was annov I just had loads of cm for days and days and nothing else happened. Never mind if it is: We were going to be away during ov anyway (if month hadn't been weird) so this month would have been missed anyway. Wow, hear me being positive! Now I'd better go and fix that car...

(Greedy, if you're lurking, give yourself a hug from me. Go on, no-one's looking. A nice big tight one.)

minxpie · 10/12/2006 09:11

You can't put your life on hold -with my DS, tested and it was bfn and thought there was a sign when i went to the loo anyway went out and got completely paraletic and forogt all about it - a week later thought oh period never arrived and was bfp, he was fine and he's 3.5 now!! I think you should just enjoy life and what will be will be....although have been doing that for 2 years now and still no sign of it happening again, maybe I should change tactics!

decorativeD2Bmum · 10/12/2006 02:31

ok just come on here to let a bit of tension out.

had an okish night until i went to the cash point and realised my money and cash point card had been stolen so broke down in tears (dueto drink and hormones~) came home sobbing and dp has no sympathy sai i "asked for it" have had to cancel my card and type on mumsnet PISSED!!

sorry girls i can only turn to you

MrsMcClaus · 09/12/2006 19:36

Just popped in to catch up and am so sad to hear all this bad news; AFs and worse still, people leaving us so sorry and sending huge hugs out to Floss, Ready, Beansprout, Snowydays and Greedy. I had such high hopes for those of you I?ve got to know well this cycle. TTC is so tough. I actually feel the same why as I do when my AF arrives but this time it isn?t even my AF .

Snowyowlet ? Don?t leave us again! wishing you luck and Babydust for Wednesday Snowy

Decorative ? Can totally understand how you feel and even if you get your BFP in the next few days, well, you won?t have been the first Mum to have a few drinks before they knew. We can?t keep our lives on hold; it would drive us all insane. Hope you have a good night .

Yuletideways ? I?m not going anywhere . Do you think, well all of you really that MN makes you more TTC obsessed? I honestly don?t, when I am pottering around in RL thinking about TTC, I get panicky and sad that it hasn?t happened and then I come on here and know that we are doing all we can and that it?s just a question of time and that you all know exactly how it feels, it makes me feel miles better.

Floss ? oh, I?m sorry about AF . Will miss you but hope the break does you good and you come back to tell us about your BFP. Babydust my friend!

Ready ? I?m sorry chick, hope you are ok and not too low, sending hugs.

ImpatientElf ? Hello! My message did get sent to Geek so hope she responds. How are you? Know you are busy tonight but hope you are feeling upbeat.

theChristjmassyone ? Neither set of our parents know that we are TTC but I am sure they suspect we are. My best friend knows, she is pregnant now and the gap is getting bigger by the day we thought we?d have our babies at the same time . If we are not successful this cycle, I am going to have a heart to heart with my sis. She is two years younger than me and has 2 little boys and PCOS and I know for a fact that the second one was conceived the first month of trying and the first can?t have been more than 3 cycles. Maybe she knows what the secret is! Hope your next move goes well.

Greedy ? I feel so bad because I was constantly telling you that I thought you were pregnant because your temps were so fine, just shows how little I know. Sorry, I really am plus I was having my hair cut when I should have been here for you . Thing is, why shouldn?t it have been your cycle, it so easily could have been. I REALLY want to know what makes the difference don?t you? I?m on my second glass of wine and quite enjoying it I must say I?m only cd7 so reckon it?s ok just now. Kidding myself again! I have no life at the mo as DH is laid up and we are staying in but I am really enjoying it! Please don?t leave, I?d miss you so much, you are one of the ladies who have really kept me going over the last few weeks which have been harder than I have let myself admit.

MerryKitKatmas ? Hello!

Snowydays ? I?ll miss you but I do understand, wishing you all the very best for a BFP soon.

Tinselledtryer ? Glad you got your flowers

Beansprout ? hello and welcome. So Sorry about AF. I know how that feels, too, 6 months and 7 cycles of trying for me and AF was 3 days late 2 cycles ago, how excited was I followed by total misery. Hang in there, sending you huge hugs.

Snowyowlet · 09/12/2006 17:23

Hi, Im back - took a rest cos you guys exhausted me - I needed saturday to catch up on all the news Sorry to hear of wicked AF arriving for so many - plenty of babydust to sprinkle on you for next month * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Im still waiting - due on Wed but not holding out too much luck - had cramps today and temps this month have stayed just above the coverline - fingers crossed for some more BFP on this thread

decorativeD2Bmum · 09/12/2006 14:07

im sorry to see 2 of you are leaving the thread....i hope you can come back soon and tell us your good news of BFPS all round.

i have tested today too and no suprise it was a bfn but needed to know before i went out tonight. i am going to be drinking though - does this make me a bad person? i am sit of holding back on things thinking - what if?

YuleTideways · 09/12/2006 13:58

Everybody is going!

Ready and Floss - sorry about af, come back soon!

to all those taking a break, have a fab Christmas and hope to see you back soon (well, hope you don't have to come back at all but you know what I mean )

FestivelyFrostyFloss · 09/12/2006 11:22

Hi everyone just to let you know that AF arrived (early!!) on Weds afternoon, while I was at work which was horrid. I think I too will take a break from the TTC boards at least for a few weeks. TBH I think I need to step back a bit from MN as a whole. I know it seems like I am thowing my toys out of the pram/pressies off the sleigh but I'm getting overly obsessed and with one lovely DS already I can't let this take over to the extent it has been. I will probably be lurking and having my fingers crossed for all those who are hoping for a BFP in December. Good luck! Thank you all so much for your lovely messages and support and take care. I know I will relent and see you all soon! xx

RudolphsREADY · 09/12/2006 10:32

Hi ladies. I just popped in to say farewell. AF has arrived so I no longer belong on this sleigh! Good luck to all of you, my fingers and toes are crossed for each and every one of you.

ImpatientElf · 09/12/2006 09:08

Greedy my friend, I'm sorry I crossed posts with you and missed your AF news. I hope your wine, waggon wheels and online chats helped you out - you sounded better by the end of it. I'll miss you if you go. Don't! x

thechristmassyone · 08/12/2006 22:33

waggon wheels, that's a blast from the past! my dh has gone to bed, i guess i'd better go join him
it's been nice chatting, hope next month is full of babydust for you - make the most of that wine over xmas!!
x

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 22:32

sorry i have reread that and it makes no sense! i meant dont get too obsessed like me and i am going to try and take a break from MN! you can tell i have finished my bottle!

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 22:30

dont get too obsessed like me though i am sure its no good for you though and i am REALLY going to try and take a bit of a break!
HELP!!!! i have finished my wine and i am onto the waggon wheels! i need my dh to control me but he's working!

thechristmassyone · 08/12/2006 22:25

only a few people know we're trying (both sets of parents-they've been on asking when they're going to be grandparents since our 2nd wedding anniversary, my sister-who wanted me to produce a flower girl niece for her wedding in may07, pg best mate-who said "great we can try together iyswim"!) i would be taking my temp if we had a thermometer, i guess i'll put one on my xmas list.

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 22:20

so you dont take temps? i would def recommend that cos then you know exactly when you ovulate. my sis has a regular 28 day cycle and always assumed she ov'd day 14. but when she started temping discovered it was day 19 and she had been missing her chance every month! she doesnt have a long luteal phase though, so doesnt look good for her.
its terrible how you plan things isn't it? i was desperate to have 3 kids under 4 for some resaon....cant happen now! but everyone says 'you are mad, how would you cope? and i kind of wanted to show everyone i could!' have you told people you are ttc? we have ! BIG MISTAKE!!!!

thechristmassyone · 08/12/2006 22:10

oops - we're crossing each other! understand about having it all planned out, i'm the same. thought it would only take a few months, and i wasn't that desperate to start with, though now my best mate is pg i'm jealous (but really pleased for her - and i get to be godmum to it) and keen to 'catch up' with her. definitely thought i'd be pg by xmas, we had even planned to tell parents by asking for mothercare vouchers for xmas. have just realised how much i took it for granted that getting pg was easy! i've never been really mumsy or maternal (that's my sister's department) but now am getting really depressed every time af comes. my cycle seems to be settled at 30 days, only bd-ing by dates, i've not got as far as using ov kits, but that might be my new year's resolution. (come to think of it, last year's resolution was to get pg!)

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 22:05

wow! that is going for it moving that much! so will you stay in your next house for a while?..........
i bet you get itchy feet after a bit!

thechristmassyone · 08/12/2006 22:01

tbh i'm getting a bit fed up of moving, by the time we get into our real house it'll be our 4th house in 13 months, so i'm quite glad to be settling down at last!

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 21:59

got 2 kids already.....ds(3.5) dd(1.11)...so i now i have the perfect pair but they are so gorgeous i want more!!! ds took about 6 months to concieve and dd 1st month! i had my age gaps all perfectly planned and (stupidly) assumed that it would happen straight away this time! we have been trying since april and i think i might go to the gps in jan cos my whole body and cycle have changed since having dd. i had a few problems when pg with her and i dont feel liek my 'bits' have been normal since!
phew! thats me done!

oh hang on ....not quite! i have a super long cycle ( but not compared to festivefettle, bless her) so everything takes that much longer!
also...im 33, so a bit of an old biffer!

thechristmassyone · 08/12/2006 21:52

trying since jan, regular cycles since may, so nearly a year of wanting it, but in reality i guess i've (should say we've ) been trying with some accuracy since may. tell me more about you (apart from liking wine!! )

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 21:48

now i remember you....the moving has jogged my memory! do you like moving then? we used to move every 2 years when i lived with my parents cos of his job and i get itchy feet really quickly now. we have been in our present house for 5 years now and i am desperate to move....but we are extending instead to make room for our next baby! (seems strange saying that now seeing as it isnt turning out to be as easy as we thought!)

how long have you been ttc?

thechristmassyone · 08/12/2006 21:44

what do you want to know? baby things or normal things? i'm 28 no kids yet, married 4 1/2 yrs. dh in raf so move a lot, but we're in the middle of buying our own place. we're due to move on to 20th dec. i love reading (i'm a librarian) and my cats.

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 21:40

i dont think i know anything about you do i?

greedyformincepies · 08/12/2006 21:39

tell me about yourself oh christmassy one! i love having a laptop with wireless, i can watch tv at the same time as posting its great! nearly had a whle bottle of wine now!
