Hey whoops, sorry to hear about the news. My boyfriend and i arent on particularly well paid jobs so we've had to think long and hard about ttc too. Its not easy

whoopsfallenoffthexmastree · 15/12/2006 21:30

Hello again
Well unless this weeks bding has worked I don't think I will get another chance for a while as dh had some bad news at work that his pay review which should have been last week will now not be til April so he wants to wait and see what happens

honeyapple · 15/12/2006 20:44

MrsmcClaus-
I really feel for you. I spent a couple of nights crying last month because I felt my DP was ignoring me at my fertile time. It is very stressful thinking..."i've only got x amount of days to BD to get PG...or I'll have to wait another month..." Unfortunatley it is a very vicious circle. The more we want to BD the less our DP/Hs want to! For some guys the relentless BDing can really turn them off. It's a pyschological rather than a physical problem.
This month however, I have tryed to be more impromptu about the whole BDing, rather than the awful bang bang banging... when is he going to blooming come... kind of BDing. That is soul destroying and very damaging to a relationship. Try to remember, you dont want any baby, you want your DH's baby.
Big Hugs,

festivefettle · 15/12/2006 20:38

Oh MrsMC - big {{{{HUGS}}}} I can understand how truely frustrated you are. Do you think he is still suffering post-operation? Tell me shut up, but you really must try and keep talking through this, if you don't it could spiral out of control. DH and I became very close to falling apart during the 2 years we were TTC DD. That's when we decided to take a step back from TTC for a bit and go away on a relaxing, drunken holiday. It did wonders for our marriage. Also if your DH feels stressed that he can't "perform", it could become a never-ending circle perpetuating itself and that will actually become a problem. Please take care of yourself and your DH, you really need eachother.

On the BMI front, my cycles were more regular when I was within the healthy weight range, but I'm currently at the top end of overweight. However, I think actually being pg will be much easier if you are fit and healthy.

Take care - it's so sad to hear you down, when you are normally so positive.

x

ticklemepinkwithtinsel · 15/12/2006 20:20

thank you mrsClaus for your kind words. I Just feel that i put in so much effort and NOTHING!!

I am at the same weight now as i was when i fell pg with DS 5 years ago so that dont worry me but i have put on 1 stone since getting married and stopped going to the gym so i need to Tone up which i think will make me feel betteer if i look better, lots of mixed emontions today! xx

MrsMcClaus · 15/12/2006 19:46

Many, many congratulations FestiveFettle!!! This will be a very long cycle for you then! So delighted for you chick! Tell us how it is done. What a lovely early Christmas pressie!! ? maybe Miss Santa will have to make an early appearance though doubt it?ll help . I offered to buy DH some material so he can see if he is still ?working? on his own but he won?t let me go to the garage we get our Sunday paper from! I don?t care!

And another well done and congratulations Snowdivaflakes!!! Wishing you a very sticky one! Tell us how it?s done!! I?m so chuffed for you, really I am!

Hello ladies, feeling really down. DH is having real problems with BDing, we have tried twice this week and have had to give up because he can go on for ages with no "result". I cried myself to sleep last night. I am cd13 and I know that I will Ov in the next few days and that if we don't get some BDing in soon, there will be no chance at all this cycle. We've only BD once and that was last Sat. I know I should probably just write this cycle off in my mind but I just can't, my way is to put everything I have into something and if it then doesn't work, I know I've done all I can. This is different because DH is different, he's just not like me. I feel bad putting him under pressure but I am also angry that he cannot put the effort in that I am. Is that really selfish? It is scary how strong the desire for a baby gets isn't it, I'm getting to the stage that it's hard to hide my anguish from my friends and I have had to tell a few of them why I am so "burdened". They don't help much, I keep getting the "relax and it will happen" chat, well, no it won't if we are not BDing .

Rant over, thanks for listening!

Snowyowlet ? fingers crossed for you!! Thanks for your empathy. Why can?t I be a heaemaphrodite?! (sp!)

FactsandFigures ? hang in there hon, no news is still good news even if the BFP is being shy!

Welcomewhoops! Good luck with the early Christmas pressie!

Hello XmassyCharlotte ? I know what you mean about the emotion of a BFP, each time someone gets one it reminds me that I might too one day.

Thanks Firststar ? hope you are well!

Kittiwakesnowflakes ? you might be right!

Ticklemepink ? it?s not over yet hon though I totally understand the instinct to expect the worse and want it over and done with. I need to lose weight too. I have always thought I was ok and just being figure conscious about wanting to lose some but Zita West?s book seems to suggest that even with a BMI of 26, that could be preventing me from conceiving, I was quite shocked by that. Hope your AF never arrives.

Thanks Yuletideways

Juicy ? hearing about how you are doing makes me so, so happy!

Have lovely weekends all ? DH is sleeping at the mo, went to sleep as soon as I came home from work .

festivefettle · 15/12/2006 19:37

Thank you so much for all your congratulations.

Congratulations to you also Snowdivaflakes!!

So sorry about BFN, Ticklemepink. Are you sure it might not just have been too early to test? I do know what you mean, I was gutted when I wasn't pg at the due date of my mc back in September, but I've managed to conceive to within a year of last being pg, which is fantastic. I'm now obviously going through all the "what if" scenarios again, but I must try and stay positive. I do so hope you conceive soon.

Merrykitkatmass - what did I do differently? I drank grapefruit juice everyday from CD1-CD30somthingish, then just gave up, as I felt this cycle was never going to end. What wasn't new, was BD-ing everyother night from CD14 until CD30 somethingish, and then also just gave up. So I think we actually conceived on a non-TTC BD!

Hope everyone else is doing well
take care all

YuleTideways · 15/12/2006 18:21

Tickle - so sorry about your bfn, it's not all over yet though. Hope you have a good break if you do go.

Congratulations ladies on you BFP!!!!!!!!!!!

Well i couldn't hold out and did a test yesterday ( cd 30 of a 33) and it was BFN

I couldn't believe how devastated i am as i truly convinced myself that this was my month.
Feel like that it is never going to happening and the due date of my m/c is going to be here and i will still not be pregnant.

my and Dh have decided to give it a rest of actually trying once Af arrives, and in January im going to join a gym get fit lose weight, all that type of stuff as i have put it off as i kept thinking ' well ill be fat with baby soon " -
Feel that i am putting so much pressure on myself every month and just end up soooo disappointed!

Will stay on this thread until AF comes then ill be sad but i have to say goodbye xxxxx

Kittiwakesnowflakes · 15/12/2006 10:44

Have been away for a few days this thread moves so fast!

Huge Congratulations to Festivefettle and snowdivaflakes well done on your BFP's

Snowyowlet - keeping my fingers crossed for you today

Hello to Whoops welcome to the thread and goodluck with all that BDing you have been doing.

MrsMc - Sorry about DH's reluctance to deliver the goods so to speak, looks like you might need to bring out that santa outfit humans are such contrary creatures I think it is when we feel we 'have' to do something we don't want to even if we would normally... I struggle with making sure my DH doen't feel pressurised into BDing - although logically it's not just me who wants this, of course it doesn't seem to work both ways!

Hi to everyone else, sorry to see Ready is not around hope you okay if you out there somewhere Ready and are geared up like me for a fertile and productive week next week
