Hello there TTC'vers

Just wanted to introduce myself. I have a 19 mo DS and this with be our 2nd cycle of TTC. AF started yesterday for me. Had a very faint positive the day before and was 5 days overdue so was really sad when AF came. Feel much better about it today though. Twas only our first month of trying after-all. Good luck everyone and congratulations to all those who with a BFP!

BoJingles · 17/12/2006 16:00

Angel - enjoy your birthday!!
Baby & Decorative - it doesn't matter what age you are when you start trying for a baby, if you want one... you just want one...and age makes no difference. Hey at least you don't get the sympathetic faces and people saying to you "well at your age it may take a little longer than most" usually refering to ripe old age I am .

whoopsfallenoffthexmastree · 17/12/2006 14:21

Congratulations tickledmepimk

Well since I last posted that dh didn't want to do anymore bding I have persuaded him everyday since so far so here's hoping!!!!

I have another 2 weeks til af due though so see how long I can keep him going for!!

Ready · 17/12/2006 14:12

LOL Greedy, didn't want to mention that it looked as though you were saying that NOW I am being full of niceness which is NOT THE NORM for me... but it is. Honest. I am nice. But then MrsMc said she missed my "funny sense of humour" which of course I took to mean "funny-odd" tee hee.

Ready · 17/12/2006 14:09

Ticklemepink!! I am tickled pink for you and your BFP!! How exciting!! but in the nicest possible way Keep popping back to tell us how you are getting along!! When are you due??

Greedy, I changed the festive name before I had a break cos I was not feeling festive, and now I am being too lazy to change it back now I am feeling festive again!! Have you seen the Jan thread I started??

babylove123 · 17/12/2006 14:07

babylove123 · 17/12/2006 14:06

Nope, no af yet......day 15 late now! Still trying to take it as a good sign! I will resign myself to just having a "missed period" if tests are still neg by 2nd Jan (obv unless it comes before!)

Sadly im starting to get a little excited, thats not good tho

Thank you for all you support and i will be staying for a while ( Pleaseeeeeee ) and hoping for some more BFP!!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

babylove123 · 16/12/2006 21:05

Wow how weird is this? Both 20, within 2 weeks for bdays, crappy bday reminders and friends with babies of 2 months! Eek, its like we're living the same lives!!! hehe!

decorativeD2Bmum · 16/12/2006 21:03

nooooo i didnt mean it in that sense i meant it as in a 41 yr old bloke being with a 20 yr old girl lol some people find it odd

41 is never old he has got soooooo much energy.... im not complaining

decorativeD2Bmum · 16/12/2006 21:01

it is a big age gap but i act way more maturer than him!! and we are more than happy so i couldnt give a damn what anyone else thinks...anyone who meets us changes there first opinions anyway.

my friend has just had her baby she is 2 months and soooo gorgeous!!!

i think it depends on the person to when they are "ready" and i am definately READY!!

YuleTideways · 16/12/2006 20:58

Hey you, decorative, less of the 41 being way old, if you don't mind

babylove123 · 16/12/2006 20:56

Hey Festive, have a great Christmas too and take care!

Decorative, i've added you! Hehe you are the oldest but 2 weeks is nothing! Well tbh, reading that your bf is 21, there is a big diff BUT, if you're happy, and are together for the right reasons, who is anyone to judge?!

Thank you, i still think about her lots, was a massive shock.

a friend of mine is 23 and had her baby a couple of months ago but she is married so its seen as "acceptable", someone i know was 20 when she had hers and everyone judged her so im worried i'll be in the same boat. Have you told friends/family you're trying?

decorativeD2Bmum · 16/12/2006 20:46

ohhh so im the oldest!!

sorry to hear about your friend and your early m/c life can be so s**t at times but i guess it only makes us stronger people in the end.

my bf is 41 and i know that sounds way old and people will more than likely judge because yeah a 20 yr old with a 41 yr old at such a young age does sound weird but he is so not like an older guy we are best friends! its only people with narrow minds that will judge.
a lot of my friends from school have all had children and personally i think they did it for all the wrong reasons and way too young.
i totally understand where you are coming from on the age thing.

just signed up for msn you can be my first contact lol

festivefettle · 16/12/2006 20:45

Ready - so glad you to see you back sounding positive again. I can quite understand the , but believe me you don't want to envy my long, irregular cycles!. I do so hope that this one sticks, I know Greedy is right and there is no point worrying about things I can't control, but it never crossed my mind in Jan this year when I finally conceived for the 2nd time after nearly a year of trying that I might lose it. So having that security blanket taken away, makes these next few weeks all the more scary. However, don't get me wrong, I'm so blissfully happy that I've finally managed to get another BFP.

The only thing I can say to you all and I know myself how hard this is, is try and not focus on it all too much. I've been worse than most of you for the last year, thinking/stressing so much that it overtakes your every waking thought. But every time I've conceived has been after deciding to stop trying so hard. This current cycle, I'd just given up and we only bd-ed once for enjoyment around the time I actually ovulated in the end. I think it also helped getting referred again by the GP

Anyway, we're off very early tomorrow, so just wanted to wish everyone (again) a very Merry Christmas. And I hope to see lots more BFPs when I get back.

lots of love, luck and babydust to you all

x

babylove123 · 16/12/2006 20:41

Hehe, im 2 weeks later on 28th!!! How cool?!

Awww both of us have crappy birthday reminders. A friend of mine died on my bday last yr and this year it was horrible, didnt celebrate and didnt want any presents.

How old is your bf? Ever get the feeling that being young means that a lot of ppl dont understand your motives for wanting to be a mum? Its hard sometimes because i wanna say "dont judge me, we're trying for the right reasons!"

Keep me posted on the msn

decorativeD2Bmum · 16/12/2006 20:33

wow!! i turn 21 in june too on the 14th!!

unfortunately my 21st will be the 1 year anniversary of my m/c but i am determined not to dwell on it.
i havnt got msn as yet my bf has but i will get an account this week and let you know the address. likewise would be great to chat and compare notes.

i have been with my bf 5 years january he is quite a bit older than me and we have been living together for 4 1/2 years. all we want is to have a baby together and be a proper family.

im not too concerned about marriage if it happens it happens...

babylove123 · 16/12/2006 20:07

hi decorative,

omg, if i had a penny for everytime i've heard those words i'd be rich!!!!!! Ok so it may be true, time is on our side but it doesnt make it easy and without hurt!

Sorry to hear you've had a m/c. I've never been told i've had a m/c but my doc said that twice its likely i've had an early m/c, that really hurt so i cant imagine having one later in the pregnancy

im 21 in june. bf and i been together for 3 yrs, living 2getha for 2 1/2, now moved into flat 2getha and loving it discussed the whole marriage thing but altho i do wanna be married 1 day, i'd rather spend all the money on having children and enjoying life with them! When do you turn 21? Hey, u got msn? It would be great to be able to chat to a fellow young ttc'er

decorativeD2Bmum · 16/12/2006 19:29

ah babylove i am 20 too and trying for our first.

following my m/c all i got from people was "oh your young you have plenty of time itl happen" but when somthing inside you is telling you you NEED a baby it just doesnt help.

when are you 21?

babylove123 · 16/12/2006 17:56

In the first 3 months, i felt awful. I do everytime my af comes. Feel like a crap mum.....cant every get pg! I think every woman feels like it at some point. Last month, my af was 3 days late and i came on at work. Dealt with it pretty well (considering no one knows we're trying i couldnt tell anyone) but when i got home, i cried for hours, just seemed to ring true

This time im 14 days late but with neg tests so the waiting is getting to me!

Lol, young = 20......

I came off the mini pill in may, started trying July and its now Dec. You're so naive when you're trying to not get pg. Its like "oh, im taking the pill but we'll need another form of contraception just incase" then when you're trying to get pg, it doesnt happen! Sods law!
