Thought I'd start a November thread for those of us left over from the October thread. (I hope this is ok and I'm not bypassing some sort of forum etiquette).

Here are my stats:

I'm the same, London. It helps that this has been our half term week so I've actually had the energy to dtd properly too! I'm experiencing ov pain today so even though I'm trying to distract myself I just can't stop thinking about what is going on inside!

I'm the same Loki. I've also realised that for me sex is moorish! The more we do it, the more often I get in the mood for it. We are getting close EoD just naturally even outside of fertile period. It's like your body remember that sex is terrific!

I am 7 days post ovulation. I am going to wait I think util I'm back from holiday to test (if no AF) which means circa 11 more days to wait. I'll probably cave and test early this week Blush

lilygirl81 · 24/10/2015 10:33

Loki symptom spotting is the worst, but impossible not to do I think.

Runner05 · 24/10/2015 09:51

Aww Loki this ttc lark plays with your head. I was on the pill until yesterday and I still found myself symptom spotting... It wasn't even a remote possibility!!! Confused

Fx for this month everyone Grin

Loki17 · 24/10/2015 08:41

1dpo. The tww begins. I hate this shit. Really hope I can be calmer this month and not convince myself I have phantom symptoms. Last month I'd convinced myself I was nauseous and actually felt so sick I couldn't eat. When af arrived I felt like such an idiot.

I tend to enjoy it once I get into it. Plus, knowing I'm fertile make it easier. DH thinks it's his birthday and Christmas rolled into one!

lilygirl - that really is dedication for you! Wowsers!

mamaneeds - I also got pregnant on cycle 1 last time, but as you'll see I'm now in cycle 7 this time round and no joy so far. I definitely think being more tired has a lot to do with it!

london - I actually know exactly what you mean! It does sometimes feel creepy right at first. After I get into the swing of it, I never end up feeling like that, but there are times when I'm definitely doing it to get a BFP rather than anything else. How awful - hope DH never sees this!!

LondonGirl83 · 23/10/2015 14:26

Lilygirl that's dedication!

LondonGirl83 · 23/10/2015 14:23

MrsN I can't DTD if I'm not in the mood. If I'm not into it, it feels downright creepy to me (which I know is extreme).

We DTD, 2-3 times a week in general and everyday for the two most fertile days after the OPK. We keep at it the entire cycle though. I got my bfp cycle 2 so I'm hoping it will work that quickly again!

Thurlow · 23/10/2015 14:15

Ah! I'm not sure I'd have any idea when that happens... Have to admit we're just sort of winging it at the moment, as there've been no problems in the past (in fact, we've had the opposite problem in the past, though sod's law that will undoubtedly mean that now we are actively hoping to get pregnant, it will take a year!)

DP works shifts anyway so I know if I started tracking my cycle it would probably be too stressful. Not much you can do about it if he gets in at 2am...

mamaneedsamojito · 23/10/2015 14:08

Hello! Not sure whether I should be on the October bus or the November bus really but this one looks to have more space so can someone shift up and make room for a little one?

Mamaneedsamojito

Cycle 1
CD 22 (cycles usually between 23-39 days Hmm )

I got pregnant with my DS on cycle 1 so am really hoping it's just as straightforward this time. I've being examining my secretions obsessively (!!) and had EWCM for 5 days. Hopped on the good foot and did the bad thing from CD 9 to CD20 (which is when I ovulated; I felt it and then did a cheeky OPK later on - got a faint line so I guess the LH surge had passed which ties in).

So, I'm a couple of days into my TWW expecting to test in early November.

lilygirl81 · 23/10/2015 13:53

MrsN No way we could dtd every day, I struggled to manage every other day last cycle, and by the end DH and I had given up all pretence of actually wanting to dtd, and it became something that had to happen. TBH (and TMI) one night neither of us could face it, so he handled things himself, finished off in a cup and I then syringed it where it needed to go. I did buy tubs and syringes for that purpose as DH has a really low libido just now, but it did feel very odd.

Loki17 · 23/10/2015 13:07

Egg White Clear Mucus - your mucus becomes clear and stringy when you are about to ovulate. It is a good indication that you are fertile.

Hahaha loki I'm the same hurry up do I can go to sleep I don't have a high sex drive so I'm never in the mood just force myself to dtd lol

Thurlow · 23/10/2015 12:43

What's ewcm? Blush

Loki17 · 23/10/2015 12:37

I'll hold my hands up and admit I'm not really in the mood. I just push all of dh's buttons to ensure he is. Once he has made his deposit, I'm all about rolling over and going to sleep!

Not sure how anyone can be bothered DTD EVERY day!! Or at least I only do that after 3/4 days of 'high' readings and definitely on 'peak' days!

Any good tips for getting in the mood after a long day and when you know you have to be up at 6-ish for a toddler?!

lilygirl81 · 23/10/2015 12:17

Robbins WooHoo!!

Loki I know that feeling with EWCM, I annoyingly always get it mid afternoon when stuck at work.

LondonGirl83 · 23/10/2015 11:45

Wanting I've read that a few places as well. It's always a trade off between quantity and quality! The quantity of sperm when you BD every day is lower but the quality is better as they don't accumulate as much damage in the testes waiting around. However, if you leave it too long (like a week) the volume is very high but the quality is much worse. For a couple without any specific fertility issues I'd imagine it doesn't matter much.

Lilygirl81 sorry that you are going through it. Flowers

Loki17 · 23/10/2015 11:45

I just squealed with glee because I have ewcm. I'm losing the plot! DH is not going out tonight before we have dtd!

Wanting.... as loki said test again abit later.... These are my 2 from today. The blue one was at 7am and the green one at 11am which is positive hope that helps :)

lilygirl81 · 23/10/2015 11:39

Hi wanting that looks like a negative OPK to me, I only found out last month that the line has to be as dark or darker than the control to be considered positive. It's definitely possible to ovulate early though, so no harm dtd anyway.

I heard that in most cases, every day is fine, though if your other half has sperm quantity or quality issues, then they suggest EOD to allow it to build up.

London I'm going through a mc just now, so know how you feel Flowers

Loki17 · 23/10/2015 11:39

We are bding every day too. That's how I got dd so I'm sticking to what works. DH, being the geek that he is, calculated that bding every day from cd 11 - 20 would mean at least 10 million of his swimmers would be in the race. They've only got to find one egg! What is taking them so long?! Grin

OP posts:
Loki17 · 23/10/2015 11:35

I'd test again and see if it gets darker. When I used them they faded in and then out. I drink a lot of water so they never got as dark as the control line. Keep bding!
