Thought I'd start a November thread for those of us left over from the October thread. (I hope this is ok and I'm not bypassing some sort of forum etiquette).

Here are my stats:

Ovulation is roughly a day after positive OPK. So for my 1 day post ovulation is 2 days post positive OPK if that makes sense.

mamaneedsamojito · 27/10/2015 12:57

Yes. The surge is supposed to happen 12-36 hours before ovulation I believe.

wantingno2 · 27/10/2015 12:45

Quick question counting the days of post ovulation is it from the day after a positive opk??.

FuzzyOwl · 27/10/2015 00:43

Hello

AF unsurprisingly turned up today so I am onboard for November's BFP!

Not sure about a testing date. Now AF has arrived I'll be booking a day 21 blood test and have a scan appointment for 25th November.

Hi,

Can I jump on too? This is my first message on Mumsnet and I am in the full swing of TTC madness. You know its bad when you run up to your DH waving a positive ovulation stick in his face and demand to DTD Wink

Morning all,

Symptom spotting is the absolute worst, isn't it? Have been crampy for a few days now. Of course it could be anything, particularly first month off the pill. I don't want to test until after my spa break (Blush) as that's probably about the right time to test anyway, and also to be completely honest I'm not anxious to be pregnant first very first month so I'm not too bothered - but till manically symptom spotting!

Should read before posting - using one step ov test strips when confirmed with clear blue

Sakura03 · 26/10/2015 08:28

Morning everyone, hope you all had a nice weekend! I finally got a positive opk yesterday and I had a couple of clear blue digital ov sticks left so did one which came up with a smiley face. I have only ever got a positive once before which was pre mc but also on Cd16. Anyway we dtd Cd15. Positive opk last night 8pm ish but then dh wasn't feeling too well and went to bed earlySad. You see I don't tell him that I use opks as I know it would make him feel under pressure but I hope it's not too late if we dtd tonight? Arggh this ttc malarkey is such a joy isn't itWink

Hi all,

Hopping over from the October bus

Age: 36
Ttc: #4
Cycle: #2

Etd: 20th Nov

Spa break was lovely even with AF arriving. Glad I can start a new cycle and hopefully catch my ov this month. Always wanted an autumn baby but now we are ttc it doesn't seem to matter anymore. Good luck to everyone Smile

Loki17 · 26/10/2015 07:27

Well it is cd17, 3 dpo and the one thing I'm certain of is that dh and I could not have dtd any more! 7 times in 9 days including 5 days in a row over my fertile period. All I can do now is wait and see. This is the bit I'm crap at!

Can't wait for the start of November. hope this bus is as lucky as the October one!

I'm not sure what OH and I will do yet. We've agreed not to obsess about it fat chance but OH has quite a high sex drive and I'm hoping that once my body gets back to normal after the pill my sex drive will pick up again (suppressed sex drive has always been one of my favourite pill side effects, NOT!)

Come on BFPS!!!

Loki17 · 25/10/2015 09:26

I hope so! It's been fun, there is no denying that, but there is still that underlying drive because I desperately want to be pregnant. We have been on holiday because it's half term here so we are relaxed and less tired. I don't know that we could keep it up if we were in it for months on end. I feel really emotional today for some reason too.

OP posts:
wantingno2 · 25/10/2015 09:24

Im going to have to rely on the Opk's this month as I don't have a clue when I will be ovulating I usually have a 28 day cycle but last month was 33 days which is very unusual for me.

TattieHowkerz · 25/10/2015 09:16

Keep it up Loki! Apparently your most fertile day is your last day of EWCM, so you must be nearly there..

Loki17 · 25/10/2015 08:38

CD 16 here. I have a 28 day cycle so ov should occur around the 14th day. However, still getting ewcm as of this morning (I have been since CD13). I had what I thought was ov pain yesterday so we have bd'd on day 8,9,12,13,14 and 15 and will do again tonight. Might let dh have the day off tomorrow Grin. In all honesty though, I'm exhausted! According to smep, After today we can go to every other day. I don't feel cut out for this either, tattie. Even though I've tried to relax and not obsess, now I'm in the tww all I can think is 'am I? aren't I? Argh!'

TattieHowkerz · 25/10/2015 08:08

My period came right on time, in the middle of the night, so I am hopping over here.

My stats: Tattie, age 38, TTC#2, Cycle 2, etd 22/11/15.

I'm not cut out for the nerves of TTC (DD was a very happy accident) so I am going to be doing all I can to fall quick. Plus a July or August baby would be perfect for being home for DD's first year at school.

mamaneedsamojito · 25/10/2015 06:33

Sakura I wouldn't take the OPKs too seriously unless you're doing at least two a day. I've heard of people getting a - in the morning, a + at lunchtime then another - in the eve. It seems you have to be lucky with your test timings to catch the surge. I gave up with mine and just did it after I thought I'd ovulated (I had a sharp pain in my side for a few mins after 5 days of EWCM) to check I wasn't going mad! I got a faint second line which according to the test was a -ve result but that's because I took it several hours after the event.

Loki17 · 24/10/2015 16:36

I dont know how people stay positive. I guess you just have to keep believing it will happen. I'm not sure opks are that reliable to be honest, but the doctor will do a blood test so it might be worth a visit? I'll do a stats list when I can get to my laptop x

Hi can I jump on? Stats:
Age 37
Ttc#1, mc 28 May
Cycle ? 14, (I'll have to check)
CD15
Etd 7th Nov

I'm using one step opks, still no sign of ov, I'm worried that I may no longer be ovulating, maybe it's time to revisit the doctor? Mood wise I'm very up and down at the moment hard to keep positive. What do you guys do yo stay positive?
