(...or poke me in the right direction of an existing one?)

We've been fannying around ttc#2 for a while now, and I'm starting to feel deflated Sad

What do you think? Have you tried it? Doing it? Can we even do that much shagging? Blush

Failing that, can you kick me up the arse to cheer me up? Grin

Also I've told my OH about the SMEP schedule and when I'm ovulating. I try to make sure it's still fun and not weird. But he's on board with it and is really quite broody so that plus the promise of loads of sex has kept him happy!

Bugmuncher · 09/01/2016 22:13

Anytime, it's the only way to get through it. If there's anything else , just ask. I started off feeling like I was silly for asking, particularly with regards to future pregnancy . Now when we go to our bereavement group, it's all 'where are you in your cycle, what's your period like'. It never stops hurting but you learn to go on, and there is always light! Even if it's hard to see sometimes!Star

We were trying for three months - which felt like forever at the time. In reality it wasn't though. We did smep in the third month and conceived. Thanks for sharing your experience - it is really reassuring to hear other people's experiences. Being organised and planning make me feel secure. Also helps me to see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Seacrown · 06/01/2016 22:03

My heart goes out to you, it completely does. There is no feeling in the world as devastating as the loss of a child. Are you getting plenty of support? And it will come back , take heart in that. I was 6 weeks to the day for the return of my period. Never stopped taking prenatal vits. First cycle was 35 days but I bled for almost 3 weeks. I'm now cd6 and period has stopped, before pregnancy I was 5 days so I'm pretty back to normal. Taking control allows you to focus your energies and grief, so do what you feel best. It probably seems like forever away but charting and recording gives you something to do and I find it definitely helps me. How long were you trying for if you don't mind me asking? Thanks

I'm currently miscarrying. We found out the baby had died two weeks ago at a private scan on the 23rd December. Because it was Christmas, the hospital didn't scan me until the 28th and by that time everything had collapsed. They insisted I have a second scan on the 4th of January so that they could check there was no growth (despite the sac having completely collapsed and the private scan showing an 8 week foetus with no heart beat). I started to miscarry naturally at the weekend. I've got another scan booked for next week to check it has all come away. The sad thing is, if you go back through this thread you will see my ttc posts, my bfp announcement etc. I agree with you completely about needing control over your body. After having to wait to miscarry I have really struggled. The awful thing is, if they'd scanned me sooner I would have been offered medical management. But it was Christmas so they didn't. I'm still scared I'm going to have to have an ERPC. The only thing keeping me sane is the planning for after my period next month. I know the smep plan works though, that makes me feel a little better.

Seacrown · 06/01/2016 18:48

Anytime. I just want to do anything possible to take back control of my body. This gives me something to control, as does SMEP. How are you doing Loki?where are you in this months journey? Xx

Loki17 · 06/01/2016 18:33

I think I'm going to do the same. I bought some in preparation for next month from the chemist today. Thanks for the info xx

Seacrown · 06/01/2016 18:23

I'm taking it on the advice of my bereavement midwife. She said that its proven to reduce cases of miscarriage and encouraged everyone in our bereavement group to take it once we fell pregnant. That was before Christmas. Since then j found and article on the telegraph site that encourages women to use it when TTC, I'll see if I can find the link. When I asked her yesterday if we should take it she said baby aspirin (75mg) will do no harm. The theory being that it thickens the lining of the womb , making it easier for baby to attach. So I'm giving it a go. It will only be in relatively short term if we don't conceive, say within six months, I'd then be pushing to see someone with my history. So anything to help really! I'll see if I can find that link X

Mimilicious013 · 06/01/2016 16:33

Wow bug, thanks !!that's the tastiest cake ever (hugs)
hie loki ,hope u are feeling better.i don't think baby asprin would do any harm right.maybe just get advice from doc.did u have a d&c or just antibiotics.?speedy recovery to u!

Loki17 · 06/01/2016 16:15

Sea crown I've been looking into baby aspirin. With my first pg I had hypertension (symptomatic of pre eclampsia), with my last pg (that ended in mc) I had really bad headaches. My mum had a blood clot too. I wonder if I should try the aspirin in case it was blood clots that caused my mc. Have you consulted your doctor?

Bugmuncher · 06/01/2016 16:07

Happy Birthday mimi! 🎉🎈🎂

Seacrown · 06/01/2016 14:23

That's interesting Mimi, I've just started taking baby aspirin too. Alongside the nhs healthy start multi vitamins, never had any problems with those! X

Mimilicious013 · 06/01/2016 12:34

Thanks bug will look into changing the brand(never thought of that).Cd17, u still have a lot of bding to do.good luck hey.i unfortunately don't use opks so trust in ewcm and lots of dtd.I have also started taking baby aspirin.used it last time when i was pregnant so hoping it could work sme miracle.just turned 35 today and am getting desperate to get a bfp

Bugmuncher · 06/01/2016 12:17

mimi that's reassuring to hear someone else has the same. I'm on CD 17 which I think should be the start of my fertile window but I'm never sure because I've never got a positive OPK. I was taking folic acid in addition to my usually multivitamin and noticed my wee was florecent yellow so I checked my multivitamin and it already had folic acid so I was just peeing out all the extra. It's never given me an upset stomach. Maybe try a different brand?

Mimilicious013 · 06/01/2016 11:44

Hie sea and bug. I also experience less because of dtd often.hope its not a problem.good luck sea with dtd tonight.im on cd 9 so lots of work ahead.what cd are u on bug?
Do u guys take folic acid tablets ?they seem to be giving me a running tummy ?

Seacrown · 06/01/2016 11:06

I'm just about to start so will see! On cd6 so starting 2 days early! Will note any changes X

Bugmuncher · 06/01/2016 10:59

How are all you smepers doing? I have a question - have any of you found that DTD so much has made your EWCM disappear? I used to have a week or 10 days of it and now absolutely zilch!

Seacrown · 04/01/2016 14:05

Eep! That's something to keep an eye on!Smileis this your first month of doing SMEP Bug? Have you been using opks? I've stocked up on Internet cheapies so I can test twice a day! Waaaay to eager!

Bugmuncher · 04/01/2016 14:00

seacrown this is my first month! That's why I like it too - makes me feel like I have a little control! I used to have EWCM for a week/two weeks but I'm not sure if all this DTD is drying me out Blush
