Any temping experts fancy having a look at my chart?

Hi

Thanks for taking the time to look. Would this suggest I ovulated? My opks say no as they only went about a third as dark as the control line. I definitely didn't miss it with the opks as I checked each time I went for a wee on the important dates. This is my 1st month charting and am struggling a little.

Ooo Rosebud aim for a billion! What a scary thought! Wink**
**
Thanks for the sympathy. It's nowhere near as bad as it was since 16 weeks. It doesn't really interfere with life anymore.

RoseBud2015 · 14/11/2015 09:21

PCR Bless you! Fingers crossed you get at least few days in a row of no sickness to give you a little break- it must be exhausting! I'm not good with feeling ill at the best of times! lol

Even better than that PCR because the count is worked out per ml- DH produced a 5ml sample so that's over 100 million in one go! We plan to absolutely bombard the egg this cycle Wink

MrsPCR · 14/11/2015 09:12

Wow that's some commitment Rosebud! Thanks for putting the 21 million into context. Isn't it absolutely crazy, if you dtd 5 days leading up to ov, you've put 100 million sperm in there and there's still only 1 in 3 chance of getting pregnant off of one of those sperm?!

I am doing ok thanks. For the past month or so I've really wanted to go a week without throwing up but best I've managed is two lots of 5 days. Today is day 2! Haha! Feeling the baby move though definitely makes the sickness seem a little worse.

How are you doing Vap0? Hope the wait isn't killing you too much? When is AF not going to arrive? Positive thoughts!

RoseBud2015 · 14/11/2015 08:47

PCR I think the normal boundary is 15 million so he's done good! How are you doing? x

Belle DH has been on a number of things for the last 5/6 months. ..... he's been taking 1000mg vit c, 100mg zinc, 100mg vit B complex, and 100mg co-enzyme q10 uquinol per day. He's also significantly reduced his caffeine intake, his alcohol consumption and improved his diet (less carbs, more veg, smaller portions) and he's running 3 miles twice a wk! We have literally been trying EVERYTHING to try and improve his count!

I'm not suggesting that the supplements are a miracle cure but I'm convinced they had their part to play, alongside the lifestyle changes.
Keep in mind though that he has been doing all of this for the last 6 months so it was defo a marathon and not a sprint! Lol x

Weddingbelle13 · 14/11/2015 00:37

Wow what a count ! What supplements ? X

MrsPCR · 13/11/2015 19:53

Sorry to hear AF arrived Rosebud but really great news in the sperm count! What is 'normal' count?

Glad to see the cover line is in the right place Vap0. At least you know you gave it your best shot this month. And you're nearly half way through the 2ww! Keeping everything crossed!

RoseBud2015 · 13/11/2015 13:05

Vap Thanks for the link. It looks good! I have told DH about it too and he is keen so I will look more into it- great bit of research on your behalf though- thank you. What does your DP think about it?

So I started Femara this morning- 2.5mg per day for 5 days Smile Will have a scan around CD10 and then as many additional scans as the sonographer suggests are needed so we shall see.

Oh and got DH's 3rd sperm analysis back....... 21 MILLION COUNT!!!!!! Smile Smile Smile
So its gone from 8 million to 14 million to 21 million (in 6 months) by taking supplements! We might actually be in with a chance naturally now- Still ploughing ahead with the IVF though. Wink

Vap0 · 12/11/2015 13:04

Sorry about af rose although I'll bet you're excited to start femara? I've heard a lots more ladies on mn recently being prescribed it! Yours so lucky having such a great dr. I'm very jealous!

Yes I've been looking into Czech clinic and depending on what happens in Jan when we go to the dr's we may plan on going to Czech in Feb half term. NHS waiting lists are just too long to wait after such a wait already. I just can't wait another year for treatment to start. Once we can get a clear idea of timescales and understand more about how many private tries we can have before not being allowed NHS we will make our decision. I have found a local clinic to me where they do a cycle for £3,000 and if the 1st one fails your 2nd is free. I am also thinking about this as a possibility as it will be much easier than foreign travel and I understand it's about £1,700 in Czech Republic for a session. I'll pm you the clinic by me as don't want to give my location away on mn.

Those temps are weird aren't they although I didn't have anything to compare it with. It will be interesting to see if it is similar next month. Blood test to confirm ovulation tomorrow! Very excited! Well, as excited as I can be having a needle stuck in me. So excited to hear the results. I'll certainly keep temping and using CB ovulation sticks. DP says they are too expensive to use every month! Ha! We are considering spending £1,700 or £3,000 on IVF and some £40 sticks are too expensive. Haha.

Hopefully of course we will be lucky this month and not have to think about any of this anymore and get a bfp pigs might fly

When will they scan you for follicles? How many scans will you have? Keep us updated with how you get on with any side effects from this pill.

*unusual!

RoseBud2015 · 12/11/2015 11:52

AF arrived yesterday evening so I'm CD2 now. Start the Femara tomorrow from CD3-7 and will then have a follicle tracking scan like I did on clomid.

I have been prescribed everything so far on the NHS through my fertility clinic consultant. She has been amazing and rushed things through for us because she knows how severe my PCOS is and doesn't want me to wait. However we aren't entitled to IVF on the NHS because my DH has two DD's from a previous relationship. So that's why we have chosen to go abroad- quicker and cheaper than the UK with better success rates! Smile There is no wait at Reprofit so as soon as my DH's third sperm analysis result comes through- we are ready to go!

A.M.A.Z.I.N.G that's you have had ov confirmed now- I thought you would eventually, It was just usual to have such temps at the start of your chart.

Hi

They are all real temps in the chart. So, I have disguarded the first 4 temps but still no control line appearing. I think I need another day above the control line we have assumed.

Sorry to hear af is on the way rose. I hope it doesn't arrive! I've heard of femara and hear it is a more gentle option to clomid but with the same results so great you have that. What day of your next cycle will you start taking that? Did you go private or did your NHS dr prescribe it? I take it you're in the consultants hands at a hospital or something similar? Did they say how long you should expect to wait for IVF? I'm in a tough spot on what to tell my hospital dr. I don't think I'm ovulating so will have to decide whether to tell him if I am or not - blood test will confirm. They said our next (and only) step is IVF but that is a minimum of a 3 month wait from date of referral which is the end of Jan (for referral). I'm expecting a 6-9 month wait before anything happens after the 1st referral. So a minimum of 9-12 months wait starting in January. I'm thinking I just tell them the truth as I'm expecting to have to go private anyway as the NHS is really letting us down.

pcr like your selective blanking out of words. Let's hope this weird temp cycle means a bfp is on its way......

Ah I started writing my post hours ago..... So hasn't refreshed to see yours Rosebud. The month I got my BFP, were it not for over purchasing Internet cheapies I wouldn't have done a test until probably 2 days after AF was due as FF was suggesting 29 day cycle instead of my usual 28. Day 28 and especially 29 felt exactly like I was getting my period. If I didn't have my BFP, I would have been convinced AF was just around the corner and I was out.

MrsPCR · 11/11/2015 19:25

Probably yes. Are they made up temperature? Have you tried deleting them to see if nothing is better than guesses for the first 4 days?

I don't think one glass of wine or equivalent will make much difference to your temperature. Drink away! Hopefully it will be your last in a while! Also, remember the temperature is actually irrelevant; you're either pregnant or you're not Wink

Sorry to hear about the BFN Rosebud.

RoseBud2015 · 11/11/2015 18:53

Evening Vap! Hahaha! You are the same as me with your temping- get excited every day just to see what it says..... this is what our lives have come to!!! lol

Your chart is quite unusual isn't it?! I would say that your cover line would be at about 97.7 yes. I wonder if you should discard that random temp increase on CD4 and see if this kicks FF into action!

AF still hasn't arrived properly for me (15DPO) but it is definitely brewing! Temp is below the cover line now and pre-AF cramps are back with vengeance! It is only a matter of time.... I am sure of it! I am now the proud owner of 2 cycles of Femara (alternative to clomid) tablets though Smile- BRING.IT.ON! Awaiting DH's 3rd sperm analysis results then all systems go with the IVF!

Vap0 · 11/11/2015 08:47

Quick question about charts again
I missed the first few days of last month as thermometer hadn't arrived. Do those first 4 temps count? I'm thinking the cover line would be at about 97.7. What do you think?

So sorry to hear about your bfn rose
It was all sounding so positive
Any sign of af yet?

It's mad, I'm always looking forward to waking up in the mornings so i can see my temp on the chart.

Having a drink tonight after a very long and exhausting day so hope that doesn't mess with the temp

I had some cramping today and also creamy cm. Not sure if it's a sign of anything. The cramping was when I was stood in a bath scrubbing the tiles after 2 hours of cleaning so it could have just been over exertion. But I'm secretly hoping this is all the signs of a bfp....

RoseBud2015 · 10/11/2015 13:58

Hi ladies! My temp went down today but not as low as the coverline so took a FRER but BFN.
Still have absolutely no sign of AF and it's due today (14DPO) so god knows whats going on! If there's still nothing by the wkend I'll test again.

Vap I knew your temp would go back up again today. .... your still in the game!

MrsPCR · 10/11/2015 08:28

Can't remember now, maybe it was the month before. A lot of women get pregnant straight after miscarrying with their pregnancy dated from the miscarriage.

Being pregnant now I'm not fussed either way but out of curiousity wouldn't mind knowing. In some ways maybe it's best not knowing as I can't remember the percentage but there's a high number which result in chemical and the only reason we're more aware is bc of early testif. Previously you'd have a chemical and just assume it was your period.

Vap0 · 10/11/2015 08:13

Any news on your temp rose
Welcome wedding! Get yourself a thermometer and have a go. It's quite addictive when you start.
pcr could you have managed to get pregnant so quick again after a chemical pregnancy? It must be kind of annoying not knowing. Would you have preferred to have tested so you knew? A lot of people say you shouldn't test early as there are so many losses but I always test at 10dpo onwards. I knew I was pregnant for a week and it was the best week I've ever had. I was on top of the world. Even though it was heart breaking losing it I would have always wanted to know. I just wish I could have that feeling again.
Today's chart attached

Hi ladies I'm following as I think I may start temping so good to get all your experiences x

MrsPCR · 09/11/2015 19:31

Unfortunately Vap0 with hindsight I think I may have had a chemical pregnancy the month before as had the sickness/wretching 4 days before AF and had IB with implantation dip followed by chart going triphasic with the rise after IB. I didn't test that month so will never know for sure but after getting the same symptoms before my BFP, which I ignored, I reckon it probably was. I'd just convinced myself it was the stress of the 2ww!

Looking forward to reports tomorrow. Good luck!

Vap0 · 09/11/2015 18:56

rose everything crossed for you! This sounds really promising! Very exciting! Ooh, I can't wait to hear about your temp tomorrow! Make sure you update us. I'll post another chart tomorrow after I have my temp....
pcr as bad as I'm sure it was having early sickness it must have been amazing having it and knowing what was happening! I do hope rose is in this camp too Grin. Will leave it up to dp about dtd, I've really piled on the pressure this month and just can't face it again. This month has been one of the hardest yet with the dtd marathon. I think next month we won't dtd every day in the fertile window.

OP posts:
MrsPCR · 09/11/2015 13:12

Oo Rosebud that does look hopeful. I had sickness from 3.5 weeks on throwing up morning AF due so from 4 weeks so fingers crossed it's more than just anxiety sickness!! I feel for you and hate that waiting with 'good signs'. Makes it all the more cruel!

Vap0 sorry your chart is not looking so great. Remember though, the chart hasn't nothing to do with the BFP. Maybe dtd tonight if you can but hopefully it will be back up tomorrow and today is the anomaly. As Rosebud said, you have other good signs of Ov.

RoseBud2015 · 09/11/2015 12:20

Another high temp this morn for me: www.fertilityfriend.com/home/5790c0 Still no more AF cramps or any sign of it coming! Having a bit of nausea on and off this morning too but I think that is probably just anxiety!

I was a good girl and flushed my FMU away without testing- I'm going to see what tomorrows temp does before I do anything.

I wouldn't write this cycle off quite yet- that one temp doesn't necessarily mean anything. You had a peak opk AND EWCM- that has to mean something! Give it another day or 2 and see what FF does Flowers Keep the faith! x
