Science? Silence! damn auto correct

BorisIsBack · 11/02/2016 12:07

Hi ladies, sorry for my science I lost this thread somehow, I've been trying to keep a low profile and keep de stessing. I had a doctors apt this morning to check that I have no infections and get my smear test results. Having the HSG tomorrow. If AF arrives on time I start taking the drugs next Friday, and fly to Czech Republic on about the 1st March for ivf. My fridge is full of drugs and I am doing everything I can to be healthy (running every other day, cut out alcohol and most caffine, taking every suppliment boots sell and a few they don't).

Trixie your update sounds really exciting. Really positive for April. Not long to go now.

Waves to banana, star, mpp and lucie.

Hello to fruit bat, you've found a lovely group of ladies here, so knowledgable about ivf - such a help. Good luck.

bananafish81 · 11/02/2016 11:38

Hi Fruitbat, welcome to the thread! There are a few of us getting ready for IVF cycles so you are in the right place.

Fruitbatyogi · 11/02/2016 07:23

Hi guys can I join?

Fruitbatyogi

Ttc #2 DD 4 next month (ironically conceived while on the pill)
Now cycle 16
Low amh

Been advised ivf would be our best chance so have nurse booking in and baseline scan in a couple of weeks.

Would be really good to talk to others going through similar stuff.

MPP81 · 10/02/2016 16:32

Fab news Trixie! Glad it went so well for you Smile

loopylou1984 · 10/02/2016 15:35

Trixie! That's brilliant news, the NHS is doing a good job fertility wise for once! Xx

Trixietwenty16 · 10/02/2016 14:29

I know Lucie, I would like to have it anyway to know that we have given it our best shot, if we were guaranteed the same as last time I wouldn't be so concerned but I worry that if the sample isn't as good (even marginally) we could get lower fertilisation.

We're at Kings College Banana, it's going to be so convenient for me as it's only a 5-10 minute walk from my office!

bananafish81 · 10/02/2016 14:05

Brilliant news trixie!! That’s so great that you can get so well looked after at the same place. Do you mind if I ask where you are cycling?

April is feeling lucky!!

lucieloos · 10/02/2016 12:12

Ahh I see it's the motility that we have issues with as well. It's not drastically bad but a bit lower than it should be. We have always had icsi and always got 100% fertilised so if you have it and that helps your results could be even more amazing this time!

OP posts:
Trixietwenty16 · 10/02/2016 11:46

Yeah, it was fine before though apparently motility was ever so slightly low and it's a little bit lower now. It was fine for our IVF apparently, however our fertilisation results weren't great so we were going to ask if we could have ICSI anyway. She said if the sample isn't 100% on the day they will do ICSI.

lucieloos · 10/02/2016 11:29

That's brilliant news trixie! Sounds like it all went really well and great if you can get your immunes done there too. That's interesting that your dhs sample wasn't as good and you may now need icsi as its always been perfect before hasn't it and no problems with male factor?

Thanks ladies, I don't think it could have gone much better!

The Dr. was lovely, apparently we are entitled to one fresh cycle and one FET. Pretty much as expected with my results (pco) and DH sample wasn't quite as good as the private one so they will likely do ICSI. She suggested proxeed so will look into that. Best of all is that one of the other consultants does NK cell treatment. I am booked in to see him on 17th March so may well be able to get prednisolone and intralipids at the hospital to save having to deal with more than one clinic. Will be on the same protocol as before and FX will be able to get going in April. Overall we are feeling very positive Smile

bananafish81 · 10/02/2016 10:15

Good luck today trixie Thanks

Pikz · 10/02/2016 10:13

Glad to hear everything went well Lucie! So exciting for you to have such a fab plan in place. Everything crossed for you, as always! :)

lucieloos · 09/02/2016 07:53

Thanks everyone, that was a very hectic couple of days but glad I went and got it done. I kind of feel like the plan is falling into place a little now. I know there's nothing wrong inside me which could prevent implantation so the plan is NHS in Feb/March. If that fails mini IVF in Czech in May and maybe June in an attempt for a couple more frosties then NHS again in July. If that doesn't work begin transferring frosties and throw the kitchen sink at it will full immune support! Surely some of that has to work lol.

bananafish81 · 08/02/2016 13:52

Brilliant news lucie - the oven is sparkling clean and ready for a bun to go in Grin

Have a lovely lunch and safe flight home x

loopylou1984 · 08/02/2016 13:48

Found wifi!

Glad everything's ok Lucie :). Xx

lucieloos · 08/02/2016 13:19

Hello, had my hysteroscopy in Czech this morning. It was all pretty straight forward. They said everything is completely normal. There's no fibroids, polyps or adhesions so nothing to remove and nothing that could hinder implantation. Really glad I got it done for peace of mind as I have always wondered. Off for a yummy meal now and then bus to Vienna for our flight home in a few hours.

Happy holidays sammy!

Lucie - good luck for your travels and the procedure.

star, I'm hoping to go to Czech early March, start the drug taking on about the 19th/29th. Not long to go....

lucieloos · 07/02/2016 10:20

Thanks Star, I'm flying to Prague this afternoon and staying over night there and then getting the bus in the morning to the town where the clinic is. The procedure only takes about 20 mins but I will stay at the clinic a few hours for recovery. I'm flying home later on that night though. I normally do the same with egg collection and I can't imagine it's much worse than that so fingers crossed it should be ok.
