What county do you live in? You need to look up the clinical commissioning group policy for whichever county and it will tell you how many NHS attempts you are entitled to and the length of time you can expect to wait.

Where online would i check about the IVF waiting time?

You can check online how long the wait is in your area. We were looking at paying around £5k for IVF with ICSI in the uk whereas abroad we are paying only £1500. The drugs are cheaper too and then we pay around £150-£400 for flights and accommodation depending on how long we are going for. This time I'm only going for a night so probably around £150 in total.

lucieloos wow 2 years! Confused that is a very long time! Really hoping it doesn't get to that for us as i dont think i could wait that long! When you have your heart set on something you want it as soon as! How much is the IVF you are having abroad?

Yes if there is a problem with your results they should refer you on to the NHS waiting list for IVF and then it depends how long the list is in your area. The wait for me on NHS is around 2 years which is too long at my age so we are having private treatment abroad where it's a lot cheaper.

We are two years ttc, had a private IVF in July which was abandoned after egg collection due to OHSS. We have literally found us this morning that our current frozen cycle is also being abandoned so I'm feeling pretty low right now.

We have 5 blastocysts in the freezer so will be having one of those replaced in a natural cycle next month... Well once af arrives anyway. Xx

Hey lucieloos yes we are currently waiting on our appointments! My husband has a semen analysis booked in for Monday and i have my ovulation bloods booked in for Wednesday.. Do you know what the process would be after this? If they will refer us on etc?

Hey sammylou1 i need all the luck i can get! haha. Just received pressed in the post today so gonna give that a try too this month, my fertile window is from tomorrow. Fingers crossed ay! Whats your story :)

Hi stace! Have you had any tests or anything? I'm in the middle of IVF due to have egg collection on Friday. We already have 2 embryos frozen but trying to get some more before transfer.
