Hi there, yes had my egg collection this morning. We only got the three eggs again. I don't know why I'm disappointed as with only 4 good size follicles and the others too small I don't know what I was expecting. We did so well getting two blasts from the two that fertilised last time I just think there's no way that could happen a second time around so I don't have a good feeling about it all. I would be grateful to come out of this one with anything at all. One blast would be amazing.

I'm going to give my ovaries a rest now as I wonder if that's why I'm not doing as well as back in April and June. Hopefully they just need time to replenish. I'm thinking of trying again in Jan. I have to ring up tomorrow to find out how many mature and how many fertilise so here we go again on the rollercoaster!

Still no sign of AF here, I bet she rocks up tomorrow when I am travelling to Bath for the day to catch up with friends.

Have you had your egg collection yet Lucie?

Have arranged our follow up for 26 October, ideally would prefer it sooner but difficult to get a date that works for the Dr, me and DH.

I'm wondering when AF will show, had a few cramps earlier but fine now. Last time AF arrived without warning the next afternoon but I was on so much progesterone this time it may take a while.

I'm ok too, feeling a bit better physically now which helps. My mum has been over to visit (and walk the dog!) this morning which was nice.

I know what you mean about feeling bad for dh. It's almost worse than the disappointment you feel yourself. I just want to give him the baby he so badly wants.

Hope work goes ok, fx it'll make the day pass quickly.

Lucie - when are you off? So exciting, fx for plenty of eggs :). Xx

Aww congrats on becoming an aunt trixie although I know it must be hard at the same time. Hope you get a follow up appt soon and get lots of answers to your questions. I'm just sat in Starbucks at the airport waiting for my flight. I'm going on my own this time which feels strange and a little lonely, I will be ok though. I'm just dreading the news tomorrow though as I know it's going to be a max of 4 eggs. It's so much harder knowing that you don't have any room to lose any.

Hope you're ok Sammy, keep strong, it won't be long before you begin again. Big hugs to you both.

Hi Sammy! So funny, I was just coming on here to ask you how you are doing? I'm up and down really and still don't think it's all sunk in. DH is absolutely gutted which is hard to see. I feel bad for getting his hopes up.

The doctors at my clinic have a meeting to discuss my cycle and will then contact me to arrange a follow up. Have started preparing a list of questions, helps to do something practical.

I took this morning off as holiday as I had a random half day to use up but have to go in this afternoon as have appointments. Will probably be good to take my mind off things.

On the plus side (though is making me very emotional) I have become an Aunt. A bit ahead of time I have a gorgeous niece.

Yes definitely trixie a lot of people use them nowadays even like me just as a precaution. It's worth asking about.

Lucie my clinic have intralipids on their price list so they must use them sometimes.

Trixie if you do have high nk cells you should really look into intralipids as well. A lot of clinics do them now and even my uk clinic has agreed to do them for me there if necessary. It an intravenous infusion which is meant to lower immune system.

Pikz, I am having a hyst but am having an operative one so that they can remove any fibroids, polyps, scar tissue etc at the same time.

The difference between a lap and a hys is that a hys is investigative only usually and they don't treat much with it, only small things. A lap is more invasive but they can operate more and also usually combine it with a dye treatment and they can see more with it.

I'm not sure Lucie, I thought they were pretty much the same thing. I filled out forms for NHS referral and it asked about previous treatment. At the time we were getting ready for our fresh cycle and when I phoned to make appointments for initial investigations and mentioned the private IVF (I probably should have kept quiet) they said that we had to have finished treatment privately before we could start with NHS process....We are lucky (thanks to DH) that we can afford to have another FET if it comes to it.

Need to arrange our follow up at our clinic, tbh when I have mentioned NK cells before they have just said that even if it was positive they would just prescribe prednisone which they prescribe anyway. Going to insist on it this time though. Want to rule out implantation problems before Xmas ideally and get on the NHS waiting list.

Also trixie do you have to tell the NHS about your private treatment? I will only tell them about one of my private rounds which means that I will still be entitled to two full attempts on NHS. I would be tempted to continue with fets if it's financially viable and tell them you have only done two. Your private medical records are not passed to NHS.

I think it depends if they find something wrong when they do the investigations as to how quickly you can be referred. My Dh has low sperm motility and I have a low amh and there was no problem with us being referred straight away. This was probably after a year of trying. We may possibly get our initial consultation in January from what they said the last time I rang to check but there will be a further wait after that for any treatment. I'm hoping that by then I will have already got a bfp and can tell them I don't need it!

Trixie good idea with the nk cells, I would be having that too if my clinic hadn't already said that I could have the treatment without the testing. I'm also going for the hysteroscopy. What's the difference between that and the laparoscopy?

Hope you are ok, 5 frozen embryos is still a brilliant number and I'm still really confident you will have at least a couple of good ones in there.

Trixie - there's a compliment in there though, and good shout on the wine. I wish I could join you but am not feeling well enough for alcohol yet.

We're in Kent, and you have to have been trying two years before referral, but once referred the nhs waiting list at our clinic is only 4 weeks... Of course it depends how long it takes the nhs to send the referral letter, so far it's been 2 weeks. Xx

Hi and welcome Stace, I'm in London too and approaching the 2 year ttc mark.

Lucie, we have 5 embryos left. I think our plan is to ask to have Nk cells checked and poss laparoscopy and we were going to go on the nhs waiting list as we are entitled to one cycle. I'm sure my GP said you can go on the waiting list after 2 years but online in says 3....I can't find details of how long waiting list is. If we have one more FET we become ineligible for any NHS treatment. I can't believe your waiting list is 2 years, I was thinking waiting list may be about 6 months. Maybe we will do a natural FET with 2 embryos in the new year. Just feel so fed up with it all at the moment.

Sammy hopefully we have left the bad luck on the other thread and we all get our BFP's on this one. I went to the shop earlier to get some wine and the guy asked if I was old enough. I said I am old enough to have a child who can buy alcohol - depressing.

I think the majority of boroughs in London offer only one treatment on the NHS unless you are lucky enough to live in Camden who offer 3. I think the waiting time is 6 months +
