Well...so I've just had my scan and things look so good that they have decided I can have transfer on Thursday!! I think I'm in shock. I'm now waiting for my trigger injection. I have no idea what the next 6 days entail as we've kind of missed the run up stage. Eek! X

lucieloos · 13/11/2015 12:04

Thanks everyone, I'm having a right dilemma now of whether to do this next round in Czech first and put off the NHS one until March to try and get a couple more frosties as back up or just go with the NHS in Jan if they offer it to me then?

Sammy, sorry to hear about the baby bombing. Same here for me as well. Numerous people who I work closely with have announced pregnancies this year and it's now the main topic of conversation. Also since I've been trying most of my friends have all had babies, been on maternity and gone back to work. It is very unfair but we have to keep on going and hope that we will be next.

Trixie, did af show up today? I have a feeling she is looming for me too. We tried naturally this month but think there's little to no hope of that happening for us.

Sammylou this the story of my life right now!

I even had one of my friends say 'oh no, we bought the pushchair in black and white so that it would still look nice for the next one' and she was only 5 months pregnant...

Grrrr!!!!

loopylou1984 · 13/11/2015 08:29

Just when I think I'm doing ok I'm baby bombed by my cousin who got married only 5 months ago. On Facebook. I'm sitting here waiting to call and book a scan for my infertility, doing everything I can to be healthy enough to get pregnant while they got pregnant 2 months after their wedding and are both over weight. Im trying so hard to be happy for them, it just seems so unfair. Xx

loopylou1984 · 12/11/2015 20:30

Cd12 - had a strong line this morning although not quite positive but weaker tonight. I think maybe it was just because it was gnu and oh is generally higher in the morning.

Lucie that's awesome news! How exciting. I still need to send my nhs clinic choice form off...

Trixie - sorry it looks like AF is coming. As much as we expect it it's still worse when you've had that tiny glimmer of hope to make you poas.

Sali - it's certainly interesting working with kids hey?! Good response! Xx

Pikz · 12/11/2015 20:20

Fab news Lucie...2016 is going to be all of your year!

Salimali15 · 12/11/2015 18:09

Great news Lucie!!

Trixielilac11 · 12/11/2015 13:56

Wow Lucie, that is brilliant news! So happy for you Smile glad I popped in now. I think 2016 will definitely be the year!

No sign of AF... I did have a bit of cramping this morning though. I felt a bit warm when I woke up but didn't temp as I woke up early for the loo and then couldn't get back to sleep. I would put money on AF arriving tomorrow.

lucieloos · 12/11/2015 11:43

Sammy, try not to worry it's early to get a line yet. I'm sure it will turn up this time. It's good you have a bit of a line now as that's a lot earlier than last time isn't it?

Trixie, any sign of af yet?

I had some really good news this morning! The nhs rung and have asked us to go in for our initial consultation on 3rd Dec so only 3 weeks away!!! We have been waiting for 10 months. She said they are trying to get those we are 36+ seen more quickly now. I'm still hoping I can do my next round in Czech in Jan to get a couple more frosties then we are entitled to 2 full rounds on nhs plus any frosties put back so I'm very pleased! Really hope 2016 is the year.

Fingers crossed, Sammy.

This morning, one of the 5 year olds I teach asked me if I am having a baby and stared at my belly! I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. I just told her the truth - "I need to go to the toilet so I'm all full of poo!" Cue a bunch of children in hysterics.

Trixielilac11 · 11/11/2015 21:09

Try not to worry about it Sammy it's a bit early still, like you say you've always seen a positive so no reason you won't this cycle.

loopylou1984 · 11/11/2015 20:00

Well I guess at least you can put it down to the vitamins if it is just a long cycle.

I'm cd11, I have lines on my opks but not positives. I'm terrified it's not going to happen again. I have no grounds to think this as I have ALWAYS seen a positive and only ever had 1 known anovulatory cycle. Guess I'm scared the drugs have perms antsy messed me up. Xx

Trixielilac11 · 11/11/2015 18:14

I haven't Sammy, must admit I did Google to see how early you can tell from a scan. Think its 5-6 weeks. If AF doesn't arrive tomorrow this will be my longest cycle in ages! I guess I would POAS on Friday if no AF but only have a couple of CB digital in the house and would rather see the lack of a second line than 'not pregnant'. I'm pretty certain it's just a long cycle.

Where are you in your cycle btw? You must be getting near ov time.

loopylou1984 · 11/11/2015 17:58

Did you poas again today Trixie?
Would they have been able to tell on the scan if you were pg?

I don't mean to get your hopes up, just curious! Xx

Trixielilac11 · 11/11/2015 10:00

That's annoying, wrote a post on the way to work and it's disappeared.
Thanks Sammy! Temp is still high today and when I used to temp I'd usually get a drop a day or two before AF...I know I oved cos the nurse could see where I oved from. Must have been pretty late which means we would have completely missed it as I think last time we DTD was CD16.
Anyway, means hysteroscopy will likely have to be postponed to next cycle which is annoying but I don't mind too much as long as we can get the tests done by the end of the year.

loopylou1984 · 10/11/2015 21:57

Ah ok, fingers crossed it all goes well for him :). Xx

Trixielilac11 · 10/11/2015 20:30

He's just having a Semen analysis Sammy, expect all to be fine as it was before but just have to jump through the hoops.

My best friend (twice) another close friend and DSIL all got pregnant straight after coming off birth control, so infuriating....feels like I'm having to wait ages to average things out.

loopylou1984 · 10/11/2015 18:58

Oh Trixie, that might explain it. I've read many times in here about people having longer cycles on conception vits. Good to know things look normal though, what test is your dh having?

Bea - I know how you feel. Everyone I know seems to be pregnant! It's tough though, especially at work. When is your appointment? Is it private or nhs? Sorry if you said on the other thread...

Bea1985 · 10/11/2015 17:56

Thanks guys, I must apologise for my typing as I'm doing this on my iPad and always seem to make loads of typos (esp when tired!). It is very hard, girls at work keep getting pregnant and I feel like my partner and I are running out of time (he's 45 soon to be 46).....We're going our initial consultation very soon so we shall see!

Trixielilac11 · 10/11/2015 14:23

Quick update. Temp was high this morning but BFN. Had my hospital appointment and the nurse said everything looks as it should just before AF. DH has to go in next week for his test and then the Drs. appointment is 22 January.

It occurred to me this morning that I have been taking a Zita West pre conception vitamin for the last few months. When we first started TTC I took a pre-conception multi vitamin and tried various supplements. I wonder if there is a link between this and my long cycle. Wondering whether to keep taking them and just put up with slightly longer cycles or to stop taking them.

Welcome Bea! The one year mark is really tough, I didn't handle it well but joining this thread helped. Hopefully it helps you too.

loopylou1984 · 09/11/2015 22:33

Glad you found us Bea, Xx

Bea1985 · 09/11/2015 22:22

Hi ladies, sammylour has invited me over to this thread. It's love,y to meet you all.... My OH have just hit the one year mark and meanwhile my life is totally on hold, it's so nice to come hear and find others who actually understand how I feel!

Trixielilac11 · 09/11/2015 21:48

My LP is 14 days so for a 34 day cycle I'd be ovulating around day 20. Just feels like the extra days are wasted time....over 8 months I end up losing a cycle. Hopefully it's just a one off. If AF turns up before my appointment tomorrow it will be pretty unpleasant.

lucieloos · 09/11/2015 21:35

I think ovulation has to be after day 23 to be classed as late ovulation and to potentially have any effect on egg quality. Anything before that is fine. It could just be the effects of the treatment. After I took the antibiotics back in May/June I had one more short cycle and ever since that they have been longer but I've had a couple of treatments in that time too so not sure what it is. I think I ovulate on day 16/17 instead of around 12 now but luteal has stayed about the same. Hope af shows up for you soon.

Trixielilac11 · 09/11/2015 20:53

I hope not Lucie, don't want my cycles being longer, I read somewhere that with long cycles you ovulate later and when you ovulate late in your cycle the egg quality isn't so good. My cycles after my first IVF went straight back to 29/30 days (without doing reflexology) and my cycle after the antibiotics was 30 days. Last cycle was 34 days but that was due to meds. AF didn't arrive until 3 days after stopping my meds as I'd been pumped so full of progesterone, maybe this is lingering effects of that.
