Hi all,

AF is a couple of days late here, but can feel it coming. Was meant to start Monday - wish it would hurry up.

I'm even wearing white to invoke law of sod.

New cycle new hope Sammy - we can do this!!

BorisIsBack · 25/02/2016 07:34

Thanks for the reassurance. this all feels so surreal.

loopylou1984 · 24/02/2016 21:19

Thanks Trixie. Xx

Trixietwenty16 · 24/02/2016 20:50

Sorry for AF Sammy but good that you get a bit of a head start on this cycle, new cycle new hope Smile

I've got ewcm at the mo Boris but low fertility according to my OPKS.

loopylou1984 · 24/02/2016 20:05

Thank you Lucie, and you too Boris. I can't even imagine any of this ending in a pregnancy. Isn't that crazy? All this time and money on something I don't even believe in!

I'll be ok, this is just a hormone blip, and shock as I hadn't really been paying attention to my cycle days and therefore was totally unprepared! I was wearing white knickers Angry

Boris I def had ewcm around then, but no spotting. Although I've never had spotting. Ever.

£57 a shot! Why would you work that out! Lol. How depressing. Although worth every penny if it brings your baby. Xx

lucieloos · 24/02/2016 19:58

Ok well it is normally to have ewcm around that time and I think cd6 was when I had my spotting but I know what you're saying about ovulating early as it was a concern of mine too as although I haven't ovulated as early as cd6 I am normally early around day 11. Who is your dr at reprofit? Make sure they know that you normally ovulate very early in a natural cycle. You have your first scan tomorrow? They will look at the follicle sizes and if they are fairly large they should start you on Cetrotide which will prevent ovulation.

OP posts:
BorisIsBack · 24/02/2016 19:50

Thanks lucie. I'm on cd6, - I have been known to OV this early hence my panic. I normally would ov I cd10. This is all so stessful. I worked out my stimms are £57 a shot. That's a lot of money to us.... All adding to the pressure.

lucieloos · 24/02/2016 19:35

What day of cycle are you now Boris? Ewcm is normal, it's your estrogen rising from the stimms because you have lots of little eggs growing. I have had some minor spotting as well during stimms. Only a few times when I wiped and it was fine. It's all normal. Doesn't mean you will ov.

OP posts:
BorisIsBack · 24/02/2016 18:42

Oh sammy, you are getting closer to your bfp. Sorry for AF but in excited for you for this cycle.

I've got EWCM and ovulation spotting. Is that right? Feels wrong and too early. I'll email the clinic. Hope they pick it up quickly and tell me what to do.

lucieloos · 24/02/2016 18:02

Aww sorry af has arrived Sammy but great that you can get on with your next treatment. I know that mix of emotions well. Keep us posted about your scan dates etc. Try not to dwell on it not working too much. You have a new cycle ahead of you and are trying a different treatment as well so these are all positive things. I know I keep spouting stats but even at your age 1 in 3 blasts won't be viable to make a baby with so hopefully the one you used last time got that out of the way and you will be well on your way to a bfp soon Smile

OP posts:
loopylou1984 · 24/02/2016 17:54

We so af seems to have arrived early. I must have ovd earlier than I thought due to being very relaxed on holiday or something. Still no baby though clearly.

FET here we come. Will call the clinic to arrange a scan tomorrow. I'm sort of excited, sort of terrified and sort of bored already at the same time. Part of me thinks that after more than 2 years without even a hint of a bfp, and a failed IVF transfer surely there is something more going on in the background. A reason we haven't conceived?

It breaks my heart if I stop to think about dh never being a dad. He would be so amazing. Damn hormones, why do they have to make me feel so sad. Xx

lucieloos · 24/02/2016 10:19

Ahh I see thanks banana!

Trixie, I seem to ov late on the first proper cycle after treatment and then it usually goes back to normal.

OP posts:
bananafish81 · 24/02/2016 10:13

lucie I think the baseline has to be more precise for a fresh cycle as you need to start stims on day 2/3 to avoid early recruitment of a dominant follicle - whereas for a FET I think a day or so difference isn't quite so important, as the estrogen will block ovulation and you can just keep going with the meds until the lining is where it needs to be

Trixietwenty16 · 24/02/2016 10:09

Aw, thanks Banana Smile brilliant news about your scan!!

Looks like I'll ov late too Lucie. It's odd because my cycles in between my fresh and FET were normal length and as I recall they were fine initially after my FET but then they seem to have gone from 29-31 days to 33-35 days. TBH it's not too bad as we've got a weekend away the second weekend in April so would prefer to get started after that.

Great that you were able to get an appointment with your GP so quickly Bluebird. I sometimes have to wait a few weeks at my surgery.

lucieloos · 24/02/2016 07:48

Ah ok they told me day 2 or 3 only but that makes sense. I can't get a weekend appt either so if it starts on Saturday when I think it will then I will have to go in on Monday which is day 3 and start stimms that day.

OP posts:
loopylou1984 · 24/02/2016 07:36

Baseline just needs to be while you're still bleeding, I had it on day 4 last time I think. Af may not even arrive until Saturday, in which case Monday would be day 3. It's just getting booked at the weekend that's the problem. Xx

lucieloos · 24/02/2016 07:00

Wouldn't you need to start the meds before Monday if af arrives tomorrow Sammy? Sorry I don't know much about baseline timings as this one will be my first so I'm interested in what others are doing. I have to go in on day 2 or 3 would rather day 2 though as that's when I've always started meds.

OP posts:
loopylou1984 · 24/02/2016 06:55

Well it looks like my temperature is on its way down, af should be here tomorrow or Friday. Which I guess will mean baseline on Monday. Xx

bluebird3 · 23/02/2016 19:31

Congrats banana that's amazing news.

Thanks for the welcome and advice everyone. I've booked in for the GP tomorrow. Here's to getting the ball rolling...

lucieloos · 23/02/2016 18:26

Trixie, that's brilliant about your cancellation appt! I have also been opk'ing this month as thought I would get a better idea of when to expect af. I ov'd late as usual after an IVF cycle so not until day 17 so o think af should definitely be due this weekend.

Banana, that's fantastic news about your scan. It must have been such an emotional moment to see and hear that heartbeat. Huge congrats to you lovely.

Banana, that's amazing news! Congratulations Smile

Trixie - enjoy postuff again, lol. It's a good idea, I haven't bothered this cycle what with being on holiday and it's actually really annoying as now I'm not quite sure when to expect AF and therefore when appointments will be.

Re the anti sickness. I think the idea was to take them from the start, a preventative rather than waiting to need the cure so to speak... Will see what they say at baseline!

Welcome bluebird, I waited until 12 months, then wished I'd lied as the whole process takes ages. If I were you I'd go to the GP now and say you've been trying over a year, you can get in the system and get tests started and fx you'll not need anything else, but if you do you'll be ready!

Waves to everyone else, so glad we're doing this all together! Xx

bananafish81 · 23/02/2016 16:49

Thanks ladies. Trixie I copied and pasted the post from my desktop notepad and I helpfully didn't copy the bit where I wished you well with YOUR upcoming cycle as well. Delighted you're in such excellent hands - brilliant that they're so on board with immunes tx

Saw and heard one little heartbeat Grin

Amazing. Dr basically said, not quite in these exact words, he's been a fertility Dr since 1992 and I'm one of the most surprising cases he's ever had. He was grinning from ear to ear as it wasn't an outcome we ever expected to see. Just gotta hope it sticks now!!

Trixietwenty16 · 23/02/2016 11:28

Great news re the intralipids Lucie, must be a relief.

Good luck for your scan on Thursday Boris! Sounds like everything is working out well for your cycle.

Sammy, I really hope the anti-sickness tablets do the trick.

Very excited for the three of you and have everything crossed for a hatrick of BFPs.

Good luck Banana!! what time is your scan?

Welcome to the thread Bluebird. Like Lucie we had some tests done around the 6 month point. I would definitely book in an appointment with your GP, I found the 12 month mark tough and I think it helps to get the ball rolling.

Hope you're feeling better Itsme.

I bought some OPKs for the first time in ages at the weekend, figured I would track ov for the next few months in order to have a better idea about when AF is going to arrive. Managed to get a cancellation appointment so back at the hospital next week now and really hoping we can then start in April.

BorisIsBack · 23/02/2016 10:20

Banana good luck for today. Xxx If your DH needs more places to clean my house could do with a visit. How far along are you?
