Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain anything but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

And our most recent thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2458534-Prtys-Gang-and-The-Festival-of-Foof-Fun-when-they-not-being-cray-cray?pg=1&order=

We are symptoms spotters extraordinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

(shoves all the malteser ones into cheeks like a hamster)
Yeah, I know moo it's just down right fucking awful isn't it? I'm having to face up to my blip being a chemical, I think I tried not to think of my tests as BFPs because I knew it would just be so much harder to take.
You will get through it, I promise x

Thanks flowers.
I happen to like the coffee and the Orange ones (I know, weird).
OH is being great, but I think nobody understands like other TTCers x

themoo · 19/10/2015 22:02

I know Prty hugs you tight
No more wee sticks for me.
It just hurts really badly.

MrsFlowers82 · 19/10/2015 22:01

Oh Moo. I am afraid I have no answers for you. I haven't a clue what my body does since TTC, all I know is it makes no sense - just when I think I get to grips with it something else happens to take me back to square one!

I am sorry you have had such a roller coaster the past few days. This TTC lark can be so cruel. Could it be chemical? Would it be picked up so early on? What are B&M mid streams? (Sorry, I told you I was clueless!)

Have you spoken to OH since? I hope he is looking after you. Lots of hugs and some of my Reveals passes over bag even though I have picked out and eaten all of the toffee ones xxxx

PrtyPsn · 19/10/2015 21:58

There is the chance BFPs indicate a fertilised egg and BFNs show it didn't implant - sorry, please don't hate me x

PrtyPsn · 19/10/2015 21:57

Hey moo (hands over hot chocolate and blanket) I think you know this but I don't have an answer for you, none of us do.
Anything is possible, my love and I'm gonna go with the generically Yorkshire 'stranger things have happened at sea'
I would say stop POAS though for your own sanity and wait out AF (hugs)

Hello girls. Can I ask your opinions? Not sure now if I'm clutching at straws but here goes...

I've had cramping like AF but milder since about 7dpo. I was up at about 6.30 that day (6hrs sleep ish) which is a fairly regular occurrence but I was so tired I actually had a nap for 2 hours in the pm (I NEVER do that). On 8dpo still cramping, nothing tastes right and I was still knackered. That's the day I got two BFPs on B&M mid streams. On 9dpo I got another BFP with FMU. Since then I still have cramps but no bleeding and no cm. I've used superdrug own, Tesco and frersince then, and all are totally negative.
I'm 11dpo today, still cramping and now sore boobs (bit early maybe but normal pre AF. AF due Thurs. BFN on Tesco and superdrug today.
Am I mental for still hoping for that BFP? How can one brand be positive three times but nothing else?
I just feel absolutely heartbroken after seeing those BFPs. I was so excited and now I'm worried it's all for nothing.
Opinions schmopinions lol I just want someone to talk to.

SharyBobbins · 19/10/2015 21:21

Highly recommend fertility friend too!

SharyBobbins · 19/10/2015 21:20

Flowers I second what you&me said. Basically your BBT goes up after you've ovulated so whilst it can't predict ovulation it can confirm that ovulation has happened (unless you're one of the lucky ones who gets a pre-ov temp dip!). So it's a good method when used alongside OPKs too. I read you should temp after at least 3 hours of undisturbed sleep. I take mine at 6am every weekday morning & have mostly managed to get in to the habit of naturally waking up around that time on a weekend to take it before rolling over & going back to sleep! On Saturday I woke up around then but didn't do it, when I woke again at 8am it had rocketted up so it's definatley best to be consistent with your times!

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 19/10/2015 20:50

I think ideally you should do it after you've been asleep for quite a while, but you might be fine to do it at six if you've been awake at four, as long as you haven't been too disturbed i.e. up and about. It's worth a go I'd say, anyway. It's been quite useful for helping to assure me that I have been ovulating!

MrsFlowers82 · 19/10/2015 20:39

Thanks! How have you found it? Do you need to have been asleep for a certain amount of time? The getting up doesn't worry me, I never seem to be able to have a lie in anymore! But my sleep is always quite disrupted. OH works nights which means I wake up when he gets in (around 4/5) then go back to sleep until half six.

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 19/10/2015 20:31

I've been temping MrsFlowers. It isn't too difficult to get the hang of really. I got a thermometer on Amazon for a few quid - you need one that goes to two decimal places. I'd recommend the Fertility Friend app for inputting the data - it basically works it all out for you.

You do need to try and do it at the same time every day: I've ended up setting an alarm to go off at 6am on weekends because that's when I get up during the week! You'll soon get into the habit though.

MrsFlowers82 · 19/10/2015 20:26

Evening all.

Excited for you YouandMe!!

Moo I'm sorry it's been so up and down the past few days. I am crossing all for you.

Not much to report over here. AF came back as predicted. Stupid crazy body, not sure I will ever understand it. And I have had an argument with OH...over some roast potatoes! Blush

Shary - can you tell me a bit more about temping? Thinking I need to up my game and it seems quite a reliable method, if a bit hard to get the hang of?

neetie1 · 19/10/2015 19:18

Urgh hate my body feel really yukk and have awful headache. After two days of bleeding looks like its slowing down/stopping.... odd odd odd

SharyBobbins · 19/10/2015 17:59

Thanks ladies, definitely not pregnant though unfortunately, I temp as well and it has been struggling to hit the 36 degree mark for over a week! My understanding is your BBT rises after ovulation & stays high through pregnancy. This is my first +OPK this cycle although my temp hasn't peaked yet, fingers crossed it will tomorrow then I can start to believe I've ovulated! Feel nauseous with cramps though! Yuck! Obviously (potentially) ovulating on CD40 is weird late but I guess its better than not at all. I was convinced this cycle was anovulatory xx

PrtyPsn · 19/10/2015 17:38

shary I second what youandme says, not an exact science or definite indicator but worth a shot on a HPT!
rose sounds like you've been busy!

BittersweetRose · 19/10/2015 16:54

Oh! FX that your good news stays good moo and youandme!

I've been distracted by buying our first car this weekend, which has distracted me muchly from worrying about TTC. I'm going to pick it up after work on wednesday, and I'm very excited.

We're only managing to DTD every three to four days, but without either a BBTspike, or AF, we might as well try to keep it up. My CM seems to be better though, so I'm hoping that means my body is returning to normal?

If nothing happens by Sunday, I'm going to POAS just to check as if I did OV right away coming of the merina, I could be PG. Not really optimistic, but since I've never POAS before, I guess I can count this as a practice run to make sure I know what I'm doing!

I do keep thinking I've got "symptoms" as I have a lot of bloating/gas, but that could be my dairy/pepper issues and/or coming off hormones. Totally knackered today and needing to pee a lot, but again, there's non-PG explanations (like a bad night's sleep and making an effort to drink more). No boob pain or anything like that.

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 19/10/2015 16:53

Is there any possibility that you could be pregnant Shary? I can't remember if you've had any BFNs already. Can't OPKs show up as positive when they are actually detecting hcg?

I'm obsessively poking at my boobs today - they don't hurt as much as yesterday. Who knows if this is in anyway meaningful - I know I just have to wait!

Sorry moo and glitter for the BFNs this morning Thanks

SharyBobbins · 19/10/2015 16:31

WTF!! It's CD40 & I've just got positive OPKs?! CD40!!! I'm due AF in 2/3 days!

SharyBobbins · 19/10/2015 16:28

FX youandme!!

glitterpoppy · 19/10/2015 11:30

Ahhh fab news youandme I can definitely see a line!!

Another news of a pregnancy on my Facebook from a friend who got married the week before me.. Nearly tipped me over the edge, I actually felt my eyes prickle....

any chocolate about??

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 19/10/2015 11:04

Thanks Moo. DH popped home from work and had a look - he could definitely see the lines, and agreed they were pink, not grey. We're tentatively excited, but 10dpo is still very very early days, and of course it's still showing a negative on the monitor. So we just have to wait and see!

themoo · 19/10/2015 10:51

I can see lines on the ICs too! We must be cycle buddies, my AF is due the same time.
Sadly I think I'm out despite the early positives. Another bfn this morning :(

themoo · 19/10/2015 10:45

Omg youandme how exciting!!!

I can see a line on that blue one.

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 19/10/2015 09:18

I've done three ICs - all with the same batch of second morning urine. There's definitely a line on all of them. It's faint, but in real life (though not on the pictures!) it's pretty clear.

I said before TTC that I would not do early testing. So much for that! AF is due on Thursday or Friday - I guess I just need to wait until then, keep my fingers crossed and test again. Even if it is a chemical, at least I know something is working at least partly.
