Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain anything but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

And our most recent thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2458534-Prtys-Gang-and-The-Festival-of-Foof-Fun-when-they-not-being-cray-cray?pg=1&order=

We are symptoms spotters extraordinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

Biggest problem now is DH is in a bad mood so might not get to DTD tonight :(

neetie1 · 24/10/2015 17:36

Afternoon, well all weird here. You may remember last cycle had a solid smiley while DH was away in China just after af finished. Well thought it was not right used another OPK a few days later and got flashy then solid smiley so all ok.
Well fast forward to this month and a couple of days after af is all done and bam solid smiley again , so am wondering am I ovulating twice once really early so we keep missing it...very odd

funnybeanz · 24/10/2015 12:12

Hi, thanks for the warm welcome back! Also MummyBex1985 it's good to hear your DH had the same issue and it didn't affect his fertility. FX it's the same for us. Just collected the sample bottle for him to use, grim! I'm using clear blue opks and got a second flashing smiley face today which apparently means I might ovulate soon. So DTD as often as possible over the next few days! I never even dreamed it would be this difficult to get pregnant. MrsFlowers - good point about so many people having babies. Will try to be positive!! Good luck with the temping, I've not tried that yet, seemed too complicated but maybe I should try?!Smile

MrsFlowers82 · 24/10/2015 11:18

Thanks Shary - good to know about the same time for tempting. I am going to give myself another cycle and then see. I really thought I would be PG by Xmas or at least the end of the year... If I am not I think the disappointment will spur me on to start taking more action! But for now I am going to think positive.

I think the days before OV are the most important (clearly this hasn't worked for me yet!) so I am sure you are covered!

Hi again Funny. I know how you feel - one of my close friends has just had her third and her page is awash with photos Haloween Sad Also just found out my sister in law's sister is expecting. This was actually handled rather insensitively I thought, (she knows I am TTC) so had a wobble last night and now dreading seeing them at a party next week.

I guess the only thing I can take or say is that the fact that so many people seem to be having babies all over the place must be a good sign! It will happen for us too xxx

SharyBobbins · 24/10/2015 08:34

Oh no! Fertility friend now says I ovulated on Wednesday, not Monday. DTD Wednesday night but not Thursday- I still should be covered shouldn't I? We DTD everyday 4 days prior to that too. The app says this cycle will be 60 days! WTF! Halloween Blush

MummyBex1985 · 24/10/2015 00:39

Beanz, my DH had the same issue and had an op when he was quite young, he has no fertility issues at all and had kids very quickly.

SharyBobbins · 23/10/2015 23:00

Hi ladies, just stoping by the give temping my vote too! I'm obsessing about ttc but (now I'm used to it) temping doesn't bother me too much because once you've taken it in the morning you're done for the day (unlike OPKs that I'm peeing on loads a few times a day). If temp drops in the days past ovulation you know AF is due so you don't get the disappointment of the BFN. For those who are worried about broken sleep I read on fertility friend that for some women accurate bbt depends on taking it at the same time each day rather than after a set amount of hours sleep Halloween Smile

MrsKittenPie · 23/10/2015 21:15

Hi beanz, good to have you back!
That combination of af and those pregnancy announcements must have been horrendous, it's just the worst isn't it. But on to this cycle and good news about the flashing smiley Halloween Grin
I think it might be worth finding out re the tests for your partner, I know it's a bit nerve wracking but they could come back fine.
Yes it might be worth telling your mum, it helps to talk. And you've got this lovely thread too Halloween Smile
I think af is due this weekend but bfn today with a frer so am definitely out. Just need to get onto the next cycle now. I'm going to try temping this month Halloween Shock

funnybeanz · 23/10/2015 20:57

Hi everyone, I wrote on this thread a few days ago but haven't been back as I've been trying to avoid social media for a few days! Following my minor (massive) meltdown when AF arrived last Friday, a friend from unis baby was born and pics all over Facebook, then a friend who has been ttc for 3 months put a pic of the scan and announced pregnancy and an old school friend announced her 2nd pregnancy. This led to my meltdown continuing into general grumpiness 'life isn't fair' type attitude so I decided to avoid Facebook for a while!! Started using OPKs this month, today is cd8 and got a flashing smile on the digital opk. I also had a docs appointment for something unrelated but mentioned out ttc journey and doctor is arranging for a sperm test for partner as he was born with undescended testes so had an operation as a baby to sort this out. I'm kind of convinced this is our problem, can't decide whether it would be good to know and do something about it (if possible) or if I'd rather just keep trying and not know if something is wrong! Has anyone been through this with their partner?? I'm thinking of telling my mum next week, we've told noone we are ttc but I think I could do with someone to talk to about it.
Congrats to those who got their bfp since I've been off air. How is everyone else getting on? X

MrsKittenPie · 23/10/2015 20:21

Hi everyone, hope you are all having a lovely relaxing Friday night Halloween Grin
I've actually bought a thermometer to start temping this cycle - I've always thought I would get too obsessed by doing it but I can't really get any more obsessed than i already am so what the hell! Although I'm not sure how well it will work but I'll give it a go.
Am thinking af will start tomorrow and with all my bfns this week it shouldn't be a shock so I just need to remain positive (unlike any of my pregnancy tests)!!

MrsFlowers82 · 23/10/2015 17:51

I also feel like I need to do something, but am ummming and aahhing over temping...I like you Prty feel I could become obsessed and actually add even more stress and worries than I have already! But then like you say Hippy there is the reassurance of knowing and understanding your cycles more... Jury is still out for me!

Hippy I understand your concerns about your career, however I am now of the mindset that there is never a good time. I actually feel had I known how hard getting PG actually was, I would have done it sooner! But only you know what is right for you xxx

PrtyPsn · 23/10/2015 17:28

Yeah, can see what you mean but I'm still concerned over my addictive personality and temping, OH agrees it could be a bad move too :/
Back to OPKs this month I think, never gave any help before but feel like I need to do something!

hippybird · 23/10/2015 10:40

sorry, also just to say I DO want to get pregnant in the long run, but worried about it happening immediately...

hippybird · 23/10/2015 10:39

Sorry, reading through - I am hugely glad I was temping not teeming!!

hippybird · 23/10/2015 10:38

morning all! Welcome to newbies!

I've just read through the thread - sorry to those of you with BFNs - especially to you moo after your BFP confusion, that must make it equally hard, like prty last month. But I know it's hard for all of you/us. Hugs to all.

Well, last time I popped in and posted, my period was late. I ended up getting my AF on CD 32 (I think it was). I have to say, I'm hugely glad I was teeming because of that, I knew my late AF was because of late ovulation, and didn't get too excited about the possibility of a BFP. prty and anyone else with irregular or long cyles, I really would recommend it. It is a hassle, but gives you a bit of peace of mind and helps you understand your cycles a bit more.

I'm a bit all over the place, because I'm in the middle of being offered quite a big promotion at work, which is great, but makes me all mixed up about TTC right now. Part of me wants to wait a few months, stop trying, get settled in the new job, and then start TTC again. But, well, I'm 38, 39 early next year, and time is ticking. Sorry, it seems weird to be saying I'm not sure I DO want to get pregnant on this thread, but I feel all mixed up about it. Basically, I'm worried it will affect my career!! I've been reading Lean in by Sheryl Sandberg, which is really motivating, she's really encouraging women to have a career and a family, and not worry that having a family will affect your career, but in reality, I'm still worried about it. anyway, thanks for listening, and letting me get that off my chest.

I'm jusy finishing up my period, and about to enter my fertile window. I guess we'll take it east, DTD when the wood takes us, but not go for hugely during the fertile window...

sending fertile vibes to you all - nice to virtually see you all again! xx

MrsFlowers82 · 23/10/2015 09:06

Congratulations Prty on the arrival of AF! You will be able to move on with this new cycle soon!

Sorry about AF moo - that is rubbish Haloween Sad
