Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain anything but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

And our most recent thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2458534-Prtys-Gang-and-The-Festival-of-Foof-Fun-when-they-not-being-cray-cray?pg=1&order=

We are symptoms spotters extraordinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

beanz I don't tell DH, but I'm pretty sure he figures it out lol.

The only thing he asks is when I'll know if we are PG or not and seems content with a vague answer rather than the precise dates in my own head Grin

neetie1 · 01/11/2015 20:07

My OH used to ask when my fertile time was to avoid it now he asks me when it is so we don't avoid it ;)

SharyBobbins · 01/11/2015 18:35

Pirsy thanks for telling me about your PCOS. I'm glad you're having periods regularly that must be a good sign Smile I've had about 6 periods in 10 months which isn't too bad. They'd actually settled in to a pretty predictable 43 day cycle until this random one! I'm on CD53 now! I think my boobs get sore before AF but I don't remember them being this sore. I think I'll have a monster AF this time Confused 11dpo today, my LP was 12 days last cycle so I guess she's on her way Confused I think my temperature is on its way down (although I didn't sleep well last night so that may have had an impact?).

Beanz I tell OH when I'm due to ovulate/ovulating. He doesn't seem to feel the pressure but I do think he enjoys it a little less Hmm

glitterpoppy · 01/11/2015 18:32

Hi everyone.. I've been a little bit absent this weekend!

Still no sign of AF, onto cd40 Confused I'm keeping my fx that this cycle isn't as long as the last one, really hope they settle soon as TTC is hard enough anyway!

Hope you all are having a lovely weekend!! Flowers

PrtyPsn · 01/11/2015 18:20

beanz I've tried a few tactics:
I've quite blatantly told him ie 'oi, get on it this week if you want a baby' right at the start of fertile window
I've not mentioned it and just initiated more than usual (but sometimes he realises pretty quickly what's going on)
I've not mentioned it until my sexual prowess starts to fail then I just say 'we've only got a few more days left for this month'
It's a tricky one because he doesn't always do well under pressure but obviously don't wanna miss out!
Now I tend to play it by ear and see how well he responds at the first extra initiation and take it from there

Hi all, MrsFlowers you never know, the one DTD you did manage may just be the one! Must be hard when you or partner works shifts though.
question for you all - do you tell your partners about your fertile time/when you think you've ovulate etc? Or do you just try to initiate DTD at the right times? I've done a bit of both, sometimes get a bit annoyed when DP doesn't obsess about it as much as I do, eg if it's not his first thought whether I'm in my fertile time!! But it does make it all seem a bit clinical scheduling DTD. Also tried to just initate at the right time, but then get a bit annoyed when it doesn't work, then DP says I have to tell him. Hmm all adds to the frustrations of ttc I guess!
Neetie - fx for testing next week!

neetie1 · 01/11/2015 14:28

Well for me it's 7dpo do decided to poas just to see. Gave myself a heart attack as thought I saw two lines. But was just the edge of the paper and not a line. .lol
Ah well early days yet. Af not due till 13th but will test next weekend as that will be two weeks.

PrtyPsn · 01/11/2015 14:10

pirsy sorry to hear of AF
flowers it only takes one bout of DTD so you never know, my lovely FXd

Morning all. Feeling a bit frustrated as am (according to Ovia app, Glow says different) now in my fertile window. We DTD yesterday and I have EWCM today but have just found out OH is on night shifts starting today. Was hoping we could squeeze in a morning session but haven't (think he is feeling the pressure) and I'm now off to a lunch so he will be gone when I get back. Kind of resigned to now missing this month! TTC is bad enough as it is, even worse when you and your partner work totally different shifts! Angry

I hope everyone else is OK today? Who is next to POAS? FX for lots of BFPs in time for Christmas, agree that would be the best!!

Pirsy1 · 01/11/2015 12:47

Also Shary with your mega sore boobs are you sure its AF on the way? Is that normal for you before AF?

Pirsy1 · 01/11/2015 12:46

AF has arrived today for me! Not sure if this means I ovulated earlier than I thought or if my LP was 12 days instead of 14. If I temped Id know! Anyway going to the doctors tomorrow.

Shary I have PCOS. I was really upset at first but I am having periods once a month now so really dont think that is the reason Im not pregnant yet. I think you're right to focus on the fact that you ARE ovulating and I think this maybe predicts a better response to clomid compared to women who dont ovulate on their own at all.

funnybeanz · 31/10/2015 16:40

FX for you neetie!! Would be amazing news to tell everyone at Christmas!

neetie1 · 31/10/2015 10:43

Hi all well still blank circles so def ov early this month but we caught it so now officially on tww...crossing fingers as we speak.
Would be so nice this month as 12 weeks (so telling everyone) would be at christmas.

MummyBex1985 · 31/10/2015 10:14

Soooo I've just realised my best POAS day will be Friday the 13th....

... Maybe I'll give it a miss this month Grin

SharyBobbins · 30/10/2015 22:24

Thanks ladies, like you say I need to keep focusing on the fact that I am ovulating. Both blood tests have shown that now (although at the same point last cycle my progesterone was 33 and this time it's 51 Hmm). I do think this is going to be the most upsetting AF so far when it arrives though! My boobs are really sore!!

MrsFlowers82 · 30/10/2015 21:49

Hi Shary pizza on the sofa sounds ideal! I can only echo what the other ladies have said and agree with Prty, you ARE ovulating which is positive xx Flowers xx

MrsKittenPie · 30/10/2015 21:15

shary - try not to take it too hard lovely. Pcos is absolutely not the end of the world and take the positive that there is so much they can do with meds etc. Enjoy your pizza tonight Smile

MummyBex1985 · 30/10/2015 18:07

Enjoy your pizza shary, it's well deserved after today...

SharyBobbins · 30/10/2015 17:58

Thanks ladies, I guess I should wait until I'm actually diagnosed before fretting. It was a bit of a shock though as I wasn't expecting another call from the GP and his words were PCOS is "very likely" Confused OH's going to come with me to the gyne appointment. I've sacked off a proper tea in favour of pizza on the sofa!

PrtyPsn · 30/10/2015 17:05

You are ovulating shary stay focuses on that, lovely :) I know so many people who have conceived with PCOS and lots naturally too. There's so much they can do to help with meds etc. I know it's hard but this is a positive step, might be hard to see now but it's another leap forward in the journey (hugs)

funnybeanz · 30/10/2015 16:57

Oh really sorry Shary it's not what you would want to hear. I too have two friends who have PCOS and have both had babies. At least you know and can now think about treatment.

MummyBex1985 · 30/10/2015 15:42

Shary I know that's not what you wanted to hear but PCOS is NOT the end of the world. Flowers

Have they given any indication about treatment or management?

(I have two friends with PCOS who both managed to have kids)

SharyBobbins · 30/10/2015 15:31

SadShockBlush They really need to make a crying face on this site...

My GP just called me with a good news/bad news message. My bloods showed I ovulated (progesterone 51) but they also show its very likely that I have PCOS. I'm trying really hard not to cry right now Sad

SharyBobbins · 30/10/2015 14:52

Beanz Bex is right you're not out yet! DTD tonight if you can!

neetie1 · 30/10/2015 11:10

Doc was very helpful but we do need to be trying a year before they can help. She showed me what tests they do, bloods, swabs etc so that will be about April time providing we have not been successful before then :)
