Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain anything but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

And our most recent thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2458534-Prtys-Gang-and-The-Festival-of-Foof-Fun-when-they-not-being-cray-cray?pg=1&order=

We are symptoms spotters extraordinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

Sorry I've been away for a few days. Have had a really busy run at work ... now I'm coasting down towards the weekend!

I don't really get asked about TTC to be honest. My mum knows we're trying and that I've been upset about it, and no one at work asks ... I'm relatively new there so maybe they feel they can't. I have spoken to some of my close friends about it and they are all really supportive. My brother actually baby bombed me recently by telling me a couple that he knows who got married very recently are having a baby and I just snapped back 'good for them' - didn't even pretend to be happy for them.

Sorry for all those feeling down! I think this thread is due a BFP soon and it has to be one of us.

MrsFlowers82 · 05/11/2015 07:56

Ugh sorry for the latest baby bombs and sorry you are feeling down Kitten.

I am officially in the TWW but sure I'm out of the running - we simply haven't DTD enough, only a couple of times the days before O. Stupid night shifts Angry

PrtyPsn · 05/11/2015 07:45

shary all my friends and family think I don't want kids because that's what I've always said, do now when they make a joke that my 3 year old nephew will be having kids before me I have to smile and laugh but it rips my insides to shreds.
Another pg dream last night, emergency c-section at 36 weeks under general anaesthetic, then baby Norman (yeah, don't know where that gem came from!!) had to be in a heat lamp box that looked like the air hostess trolley on an aeroplane!! I've totally lost it!

I find it's easier just to point blank deny it/laugh it off when people suggest I should be "breeding again" as one of my friends so delicately put it...

Easier in the long run... It shuts them up and they don't tend to press you again after that... In fact if I do fall PG I can imagine a handful of my friends falling over in shock lol

Kitten Im sorry you're having such a shit day. It's such a roller coaster isn't it. May I suggest some self indulgent pamper time this weekend?

MrsKittenPie · 04/11/2015 21:49

shary - sorry for the arrival of the bitch but I also think you are doing well and your positivity is really good. I love the takeaway idea too Smile
If it's any consolation I cried on the toilet today too. Got totally and utterly baby bombed by friends who started ttc only a very short time ago. I was in work and had to escape to the toilet and have a good cry to myself. I just feel like it will never happen for us now and all my positive vibes for this month seem to have vanished now. My temps look ridiculous - all over the place and I just feel sad Sad
neetie - fingers crossed for you
funny - what a horrible baby bomb for you too.
mummy - enjoy the wine Smile
shary I got asked the other day by my manager's manager if I was going to have a sibling for my ds, I just kind of shrugged it off then he asked how old ds is and I said 3 and a half and he that I should probably do it sooner rather than later as ds growing up. I felt like saying well actually been trying to do that for last 18 months but thought better of snapping that back to him!

SharyBobbins · 04/11/2015 21:08

I'm glad I sound positive! Trust me on the inside I'm not! I cried before. Whilst sat on the toilet having a pee. And OH saw. Now that's undignified!!

Following on from what Beanz said what do you say when people ask of you're thinking of having kids soon/ttc? I always sound like some cow who hates babies when I respond!!

MummyBex1985 · 04/11/2015 19:26

shary in a weird kind of way that sounds like pretty good news! Things can only get better for you now Grin

I am having wine tonight. Boobs no longer sore so think that must mean I'm out. Again!

funnybeanz · 04/11/2015 19:19

Shary - loving your positive attitude. There are indeed lots of positives to be taken from this cycle. Enjoy your take away.
neetie - fx for you and that bfp.
Today's baby bomb came from my old boss who I met on the train, he straight away asked me if I was thinking of having children yet... que my generic vague wishy washy response and then he announced that he and his wife are expecting their third in April. Fabulous!! So not only did I have to offer my congratulations etc I also had to pretend that I wasn't really interested in having children just yet! Arghh if only he knew!

neetie1 · 04/11/2015 18:01

Hi all how are we? Day 20 of cycle and nothing major happening..boobs seem quite full and a tad bigger but I'm sure they have done that before. Had a odd twinge here and there but nothing too worrying so just sit back and wait till next week (due 13th) and cross fingers.

PrtyPsn · 04/11/2015 17:35

Awww shary sorry to hear that but like you say there's plenty of positives to take from this cycle - especially the new tradition of take away lol

Hi all!
AF has arrived with avengence putting an end to my 55 day cycle Hmm My temps were steadily dropping so I knew it was coming but the dramatic drop this morning confirmed it. Sure enough the bitch arrived this afternoon!
I'm not going to lie I'm absolutely completely gutted disappointed that I didn't get a BFP. Feels harder to take after such a long cycle. But I'm going to try & concentrate on the positives: this ridiculous cycle prompted my GP to make a gynae referral & do more bloods. I'm closer to a possible diagnosis of PCOS (which I obviously don't want to have but at least I know & can hopefully get help). My lp was 13 days which is healthy. My bloods confirmed I do ovulate. My OH has offered to go for sperm analysis bless him. Plus I've been able to chat to you lovely ladies throughout it all Smile
Starting a new tradition tonight which is first day of AF= take away for tea!

BittersweetRose · 04/11/2015 11:17

I can highly recommend temping - it's been great for me as it's really helped me to see that my cycle is working.

You definitely need one to two decimal places as it's only a 0.2 rise in average temp that I get before and after. I got really excited yesterday when my app finally gave me a coverline!

No symptoms over here yet, other than being a bit bloaty/gassy yesterday. However, if last cycle is anything to go by, that's just a luteal phase thing...

MummyBex1985 · 04/11/2015 08:25

I haven't taken AC but the conception vitamins contain the B vitamins you need to help regulate your cycle - mine decreased by a day or two every month and is now a regular 30 days! Maybe try that if you haven't already?

glitterpoppy · 04/11/2015 07:52

Morning all, can anyone offer any advice about Agnus castus? I've been taking this a couple of months now to regulate my AF, and as you know my last cycle was cd112, this I'm in cd42 and AF hasn't showed its horrible face yet. When exactly do people take this and how often? Im starting to worry I'm either doing more harm than good or it isn't working?

glitterpoppy · 03/11/2015 20:57

No she doesn't know mummybex so I guess I can't blame her too much, although part of me thinks she suspects we are.
I do like your point though, that's a good idea!! Grin thank you that made me chuckle, just what I needed!!

MummyBex1985 · 03/11/2015 20:48

Thanks prty (sigh). Back to the drawing board I guess. May be time to invest in a thermometer, not something I've ever looked at doing before.

poppy does she know you are TTC? If so that's very insensitive.

I suggest you buy your puppy a new diamond crusted collar and parade it around at Christmas.

glitterpoppy · 03/11/2015 20:35

Just been chatting to my mum over the phone about Christmas, she starts talking about how it's a very expensive time for my sister (as she has 3 children) she then stated I don't have any children so obviously it's not the same for me.

Grr.. I snapped that I had our puppy and he was like a child! So annoyed.... Even more annoyed that I couldn't think of a good comment to say back....

PrtyPsn · 03/11/2015 19:24

bex OPK doesn't confirm ovulation, it shows signs that your body is gearing up for it but not necessarily that an egg has been release - as I understand it your body will still give out the same hormones and CM in the run up which is what the OPK shows. Only way to confirm at home is by temping.
Not sure about soreness and different places in boobs meaning different things.
And no, when I had my chemical my boobs killed (first and only time) and I prodded them hourly daily to check they were still sore

MummyBex1985 · 03/11/2015 18:49

Evening all.

Just read something online that's bothered me a bit. not that I'm obsessing obviously

I've had sore boobs for four days (pretty much since the day after my peak on CB) but only at the front. I've just read that side pain indicates OV has occurred but front pain indicates OV hasn't and is caused by a lack of ovulation and hormonal imbalance?!

Is that right? Confused does that mean despite my first positive OPK that I'm still not OVing?! Sad

PS is it weird that I keep poking my boobs to make sure they still hurt

funnybeanz · 03/11/2015 17:04

And I'm pretty much out. We didn't dtd enough I don't think! Blush

BittersweetRose · 03/11/2015 16:32

Who's next to POAS - don't tell me it's me and beanz in two weeks?

PrtyPsn · 03/11/2015 15:45

Sat in a trains course today, doing one of those stupid introduce yourself activities, person sat next to me 'I'm Rose and my interesting fact about myself is I'm 3 months pregnant'
Me 'I'm Prty, 2 steps away from a mental breakdown and will literally stab the next person who says they're pregnant' (gives every person in the training room a crazed look)

SharyBobbins · 03/11/2015 15:34

Thanks ladies, all I need now is a baby bomb to tip me over the edge! Avoiding Facebook like the plague!!

glitterpoppy · 03/11/2015 14:54

Oh sorry for the BFN shary Sad

Cd42 here.. Still nothing.. Grr. Just devoured some dairy milk snow bites in annoyance.. Yes Christmas chocolate already!!

I'm surrounded by baby bombs too.. Not sure how long I ask going to keep my cool for.....

sweetrose I feel your pain about the Halloween party!!

funnybeanz · 03/11/2015 12:11

Bittersweetrose - sounds like our cycles are similar, my af is due around the same time so here comes the glorious tww. I usually go through an array of emotions during tww, including feeling certain I'm pregnant to feeling absolutely certain I'm not and that I'm giving up! Urgh!
Fx that the next baby bomb is someone from here, we need a bit of good news from one of us.
Shary - damn that bfn. Sorry. Hope you're OK?
MrsFlowers - good luck with the temping. Also got my thermometer and going to start that next cycle.
