Hello,

I've had a look on a few threads i was wondering whether there were any younger groups as the majority are late 20's etc.

I'm not trying to be ageist I just would like to talk to a few younger TTC'ers

Hey I'm 22 and me and OH are just starting to ttc #2 now DS turns 2 this Sunday.x

Jaffacakey · 01/10/2015 11:45

I have to say i quite like the Oyster but i can't justify the price for a brand new one :(

MY SIL has offered me her Cosatto giggle thing but im not a three wheeler kind of person and i dont like the colours, far too bright for me.

I enter my fertile period as of tomorrow :) so i think i may up the dtd slightly ;)

jorahmormont · 01/10/2015 11:39

Some of the prices of buggies are crazy! bugaboo and oyster etc... We got the graco travel system for £100 and it's brilliant, never had an issue with it. Next time all we'll need is a new car seat. DD walks everywhere now so can't see much point in a double buggy tbh.

Jaffacakey · 01/10/2015 11:35

To be honest there is too much choice on anything with baby in the name also the cost of some things :O

jorahmormont · 30/09/2015 23:18

There's so many different buggies to choose from though isn't there! And it's the same with cots, car seats etc!

Jaffacakey · 30/09/2015 15:36

Yes i am off to Malta on the 24th so hopefully i will know either way :D I have been looking a buggies bad idea makes it 10x harder in the tww

jorahmormont · 30/09/2015 15:20

Fingers crossed it'll happen nice and quick for you jaffa :)

My testing date should be around October 25th. I graduate October 30th so if it's a BFN I can go out and drink as much as I want, if it's a BFP it'll be a sober graduation for me!

Jaffacakey · 30/09/2015 15:14

I have had gas and air when i had a spinal injury it was amazing :) just noticed we are on page 2!!!!

Im such an obsessed person I decide i want something and i want it now :(

jorahmormont · 30/09/2015 14:56

Haha it really isn't that bad at all, I promise. Gas and air is wonderful stuff, it's worth having a baby just for that Grin

Jaffacakey · 30/09/2015 14:49

Oooo thanks for that Jorah crossing my legs as i cringe haha. My ETD is 20th October so really close to yours Special

jorahmormont · 30/09/2015 14:41

I haven't taken contraception since before DD Blush an almost-third-degree tear is excellent contraception in itself Grin (not to scare you all, it's really nowhere near as bad as it is made out to be)

SpecialStains · 30/09/2015 13:28

I think my ETD will be around 24/25. Just had my first period so not sure how long my cycle will be etc. Before implant I was really regular 28days so we'll see if that's changed. How about you? I have downloaded the fertility friend app to mark things on the calendar, but not doing temperature stuff or ovulation sticks or anything yet. I'm off work with a horrible cold atm, so hoping I feel a bit sexier this weekend!

Jaffacakey · 30/09/2015 12:27

When is your expected test date?

Jaffacakey · 30/09/2015 12:26

Hahaha yes I have had 3 periods since coming off of the pill and it hurt like a bitch!

God knows what we all would be like in labor if we think our periods hurt

SpecialStains · 30/09/2015 12:18

Not quite a scientific study, but plently of anecdotal evidence summer born babies don't do too badly then. Smile

Has anyone else had their first proper period since coming off contraception? I was on the implant for the last 6 years, stopped my periods completely (was fab) and I seem to have forgotten how much period pains can hurt! Hmm

Jaffacakey · 30/09/2015 12:08

I was born in August and i have to say i was never disadvantaged, i have 3 NVQ's a BTEC and i work for a medical pharmaceutical company and i passed a lot of thing way before others in my academic year did e.g. Driving, Exams and have a decent job most of them are working in pound land!

SpecialStains · 30/09/2015 11:52

Congratulations on your degree! Flowers Can't have been easy studying with a baby. I know you're most likely right, DH and I both born late in the year and same as yourself academic-wise. I'm probably over-thinking this (story of my life!). :-P

jorahmormont · 30/09/2015 11:39

I was born in July and have just finished uni with a first class degree, top of my year. Summer born theory has never really bothered me Wink

SpecialStains · 30/09/2015 11:33

Glad that I'm not the only one who doesn't know much about babies! Having an 18month old hasn't put you off then Jorah? The sleep deprivation is the thing my friend has most warned me about! Is your DD walking and talking now then? :-)

Have any of you discussed delaying TTC until Jan so you end up with a September/October baby (oldest in their school year). I really want to just get on TTC, and that's what we've decided, as you never know what happens (might take ages to get me up the duff), but part of me wonders if it's a bit selfish not to wait. There is talk about being able to hold summer babies back an academic year in the news though, have to hope that comes to something.

Jaffacakey · 30/09/2015 11:23

Awhh lovely i have a 2 year old SS i would say he is lovely but he isn't :(

jorahmormont · 30/09/2015 11:20

I knew bugger all about little babies before I had one haha but it really was Ok, you adapt very quickly. It takes a while to get used to the tiredness but it becomes second nature really.

She's 18 months old :)

Jaffacakey · 30/09/2015 10:37

Haha that's brilliant, i have a few friends with babys but my best friend is also TTC hopefully we can have babies who are also born 2 days apart !
