TTC #1 coming off the pill in December - anyone else in the same boat?!

Hi all, wow so much in just one day to catch up on.

I'm kind on the wire with what sexy I prefer, girl because there are so many boys in our family and boy because the toys and clothes are so much more fun!!

I didn't find opk sticks any use Shelb I peed on them every day, I had EWCM and ovulation pain and yet never got a positive. To truly get the benefit of them you have to use them every 8 hours I think it js, I do not want to be that crazy focussed. Unless it's been months then I'll try anything.

My sex drive massively increased coming off the pill but it took 3 months or so for that to happen. I definitely have a higher sex drive than DH. We struggle to have more than once a week with his current drive but it's so much better than it was a couple of months ago.

Pink I also got mega breakouts coming off the pill.

Ni I know exactly how you feel with the dark nights. I just wanted to stay in bed this morning but I had to drop OH off at work as some lovely bastard person decided to let all the tyres down in our street the other day and we haven't had time to sort his car out yet

My OH has agreed to me getting some ov sticks as temping doesn't seem to be working for me so I'm off to super drug today might have to get some super drug own tests to add to my collection too
Really want to know what's going on as I still have fertile cm, my temp chart is all over the place but Ovia and other symptoms suggest I ovulated last week. Very confusing...

Had a good night's sleep so feeling less miserable this morning. Just need more of that! I'm so exhausted since the dark evenings have arrived, all I want is sleep! I even wondered if the poas was wrong! It's not. It's just the settling as you say.

Shelb paracetamol works, I just rarely take it! Not a fan of taking too much...but maybe I need to make an exception for these few weeks.

Aw Ni, that's rubbish. Has AF lasted longer than it used to pre-pill? I found mine stopped after a few days and then re-started for two more. I suppose its just the body re-adjusting, but its annoying.

God ladies this off the pill is misery for me. Thought AF had left yesterday, but back again today...a slow burner. Headache day again today and a bit of cramps. Have an old knee injury acting up so I'm bloody miserable. Tried to find a well qualified acupuncturist nearby to settle the hormones but for different reasons can't get apt until end of November. Moan moan moan

I noticed the difference quite quickly and the moment I hit fertile week I definitely noticed a jump.

Symptom spotting again today, feeling quite crampy and can't decide whether I:
A) have skittle tits (hurty boobs)
B) should have worn a better bra on the treadmill
C) have checked for skittle tits so often that I've given myself artificial ones.

I'd love a girl too, obviously I'd be delighted with a healthy baby of either sex but my family also has boys, I've always had it in my head that I'd have the first girl of my generation of family. Don't know why! Plus I'm a sucker for frilly dresses!

Just updated my tablet and its all different! So far, I'm not a fan of the changes!

I've not noticed an increase either, but TBH I think I have a higher sex drive than OH anyway. We're once or twice a week at the minute, but thats his doing rather than mine!

Today i've had my first side effect of coming off the pill - spots. 2 massive spots on my face. I'm not impressed at all.

I've not been off it long enough to to have noticed a increase in my sex drive yet but I do hope I benefit from that too!

I don't know about you ladies but my OH seems to be enjoying my renewed sex drive ever since I came off the pill. It really has made a difference at least in my case.

I think my DH will be very happy to take the advice of 'just shag as much as possible' I'm hoping coming off the pill will increase my sex drive as we'll have been apart 6 weeks so I suspect he'll be fairly keen!!
I discovered today that he might be home as early as the first week of December - eek! Might have to start seriously thinking about this TTC business!
I've been reading back through the thread but I've only got halfway! Good reminder though that I should be on the right vitamins and Bunches I think you should sell your awesome crocheted hats when we all finally manage to get upduffed for cute animal and vegetable baby outfits
Runner I'll be a week or two short of 35 when we start TTC so I would not have been impressed your Drs comments right at the front of the thread - it just hasn't been the right time until now, it took me until 32 to find the right man. He's nearly 4 years younger so coping quite well with the crazy older wife and her ticking biological clock! I know twins become more likely and I can't decide if that would be totally disastrous or really quite convenient or both

I think average ov is day 14 but keep an eye on your cm. she minute it goes clear and stretchy like snot get at it like rabbits

I think it's for the 5 or 6 days up to ovulation that you are fertile shelb. Once you ovulate it survives for about 24 hours so won't be able to be fertilised about a day past ovulation (have clearly spent too much time on Google).

Your fertile period is for about 5 days before you ovulate. Once you ovulate the egg only survived unfertilised for 12 to 24 hours but sperm can survive inside you waiting for that egg to come into play for up to 5 days.
