TTC #1 coming off the pill in December - anyone else in the same boat?!

Hi,

I am going to be coming off the pill after ten years plus on it after my pack finishes in December. Excited but also terrified about what my body is going to do once I'm without all the hormones!

Anyone else doing the same roughly the same time?

Shelb x

(Hope this goes through struggling to post)

I most certainly did not stay up late last night breaking step 14

BergamotMouse · 12/11/2015 16:03

Step 14: do not Google 100s of various DPO pregnancy test result photos to justify own madness.

Runner05 · 12/11/2015 15:39

Lol Stark look at it this way. Being insane and obsessive together is being supportive... Being insane and obsessive alone is a good way of getting locked up.

I've had several instances recently when people have asked what I want for Christmas and all I really want is baby stuff. Can't though.

Had another attempt at crochet yesterday... Made a very ugly snowflake Hmm

Runner05 · 12/11/2015 15:33

Just had a quick look in tinternet obsessed the super drug test I took yesterday where I thought there was a almost invisible line is 10mlu where as the frer I took today is 12.5mlu... I doubt it really makes a difference but it makes me hopeful... I have to go to town tomorrow so might pop into super drug again Blush

Step 13 - do not obsessively Google the sensitivity of pissy sticks!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 12/11/2015 15:32

runner I definetly think we are a bad influence on one another! Decided not to do temping yet, I'll get obsessed, I have been looking at how to run up some home made slings though, and I've been doing my research on prams. My dgm asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I nearly said "ooh well I've been looking at this cot..." but decided just to say "money for material" instead! Its almost like asking for a cot would make them assume I was already pregnant or something ridiculous like that! Rather than just planning on being pregnant soon!

shelb that ducks, hope it's nothing too serious and the schedule can be followed!

Runner05 · 12/11/2015 15:17

I know what you mean bergamot I feel like I've been in the tww forever!! Are you showing any symptoms? I had really bad cramps last night and this morning and I'm wondering if that was implantation. Waiting to see if I get brown spotting at all. I've also definitely got skittle tits and my temp has started to creep up Smile
I think 12dpo should be early next week so I'll probably test again then.

Fx for you on Sunday!!! Grin

BergamotMouse · 12/11/2015 13:56

Hope everything is ok shelb.

AF is due next Wednesday but I wouldn't want to test mid week as would like the weekend to process any big news so it's either test this Sunday at 12dpo or wait to see if the witch turns up. I might just decide at the time.

I'm finding this tww is lasting forever. I don't know how many I will be able to cope with going through!!

Though after my rise in temp yesterday today I got a big dip which could be an 'implantation' dip according to Dr Google. But it could also be because I took it at 4am rather than 6am! Damn this uncertainty!!!

purplesmiler · 12/11/2015 13:47

Hi Ladies,

Shelb sending hugs your way.

Prior to going away I had bought some tests online and did use one way too early just to see what it was like lol. I am trying to now control myself and only test when due but I am sure I will get very tempted.

shelbTa · 12/11/2015 13:35

Thanks runner. X

Well I hope it's nothing too serious and doesn't delay you ttc. Biscuit

shelbTa · 12/11/2015 11:43

I know! Well, I was ridiculously excited, but yesterday OH dropped a bombshell which has taken the edge of it all and put a lot of stuff in limbo (can't put on here as is open forum and don't want to be identified). Sigh. Still quite excited though!

Ooo... Just downloaded the mumsnet talk app. If you haven't already give it a go. It's really good Grin

Runner05 · 12/11/2015 08:42

Lol Bergamot don't do it!!! try to wait until you are at least 12dpo. You feel terribly silly after you test early.

Runner05 · 12/11/2015 08:36

So peed on a frer with fmu today just to be sure but it was definitely bfn Sad not going to do anything that stupid again until the end of next week no matter how many symptoms I think I have!!!!

BergamotMouse · 12/11/2015 08:21

Your 12 step programme has had the opposite effect on me and made me desperate to test. I'm currently 8/9dpo. Going to test this weekend (even though I know I shouldn't).

Runner05 · 12/11/2015 07:05

Ni I shan't judge seeing as I plan to break 1, 2, 3, 11 & 12 today Wink

Stark we look forward to you joining the support group... although I'm not convinced we're the best influence on eachother Grin

StarkyTheDirewolf · 11/11/2015 23:08

I've been quite good so far! I haven't done a single wee stick! I would imagine by this time in three weeks I will be obsessive pissy sticking Grin

Ni4444 · 11/11/2015 22:59

Hi. My name is Ni444 and I am a pissy stick addict. 5 weeks after committing to ttc I have broken steps 1,2,4,9, and 12...and I cannot honestly say that I won't also commit steps 3,5,6,7,8, 10, and 11 within the next 21days (the testing date allowed by Ovia). I'm ashamed to say that I have also tried to hide the evidence of some of my pissy sticking from others who may judge my actions. I need help.

Runner05 · 11/11/2015 22:48

Step 1 - do not pee and a pissy stick befor 12 dpo
Step 2 - do not re-examine pissy sticks after the time limit
Step 3 - do not break open pissy sticks "just to be sure"
Step 4 - do not keep pissy sticks in the bathroom where you can accidentally pee on them
Step 5 - do not post pictures of negative pissy sticks online asking if they're positive
Step 6 - on getting a positive pissy stick do not then per on a further 10 "just to be sure"
Step 7 - do not purchase pissy sticks just because you don't have one of that brand at home
Step 8 - do not keep buying pissy sticks even though you already have pissy sticks at home
Step 9 - do not pee on pissy sticks in the middle of the afternoon on a whim
Step 10 - on getting a negative pissy stick do not make plans to pee on another one during the same day
Step 11 - do not take photos of pissy sticks and then spend hours adjusting the balance and saturation just in case it shows a line
Step 12 - only pee on a prissy stick if AF is late

Will those do Ni? Grin

Ni4444 · 11/11/2015 22:33

Meh...I meant 12step programme.. The brownies got in the way!

Ni4444 · 11/11/2015 22:30

Mor I loved that 4 year old! Thinking outside the box...he's gonna go far!!

Runner pissy sticks anonymous-fantastic!!! What will step one of the 13step programme be?

I made it to yoga...rewarding myself with chocolate brownies. My "balanced diet"

Morwenna1 · 11/11/2015 22:10

Hello Mum1! There is never a perfect time - always something on the horizon!

Runner - we always do it in the window, gives the neighbours something to talk about! Wink Actually, in the summertime we had our bedroom windows open and we could hear some neighbours at it (don't think it was next door!) Sound, er, travels on our street! PS - Put the pissy sticks down woman!

Good work on the refunds ladies! I'm a bit of stickler for things like that too. Never got £1500 back though!

Secret Life of 4 year olds is pure genius Grin 3 of them in one scene:
Child 1 "I'm going to be a superhero."
Child 2 "Well I'm going to be a princess with a beautiful dress"
Child 3 "I'm a boy who likes to wiggle his bottom"

And in other news, here's how they used to test women for pregnancy.

I'm quite glad I don't have to stick an onion up there!

Runner05 · 11/11/2015 21:59
