TTC #1 coming off the pill in December - anyone else in the same boat?!

Hi,

I am going to be coming off the pill after ten years plus on it after my pack finishes in December. Excited but also terrified about what my body is going to do once I'm without all the hormones!

Anyone else doing the same roughly the same time?

Shelb x

(Hope this goes through struggling to post)

Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed that the witch stays away. When are you testing next?

I regularly pull myself away from baby things, I'm going to be impossible when I do get BFP!!

I'm considering testing again on Monday. I know it's stupidly early but I'm so impatient! I've been breaking the rules again and looking at pictures of test at various dpo and I think Monday I should have a fair chance if I am.

How's everyone else doing? Is anyone else testing next week?

BergamotMouse · 15/11/2015 09:10

Morning,

The spotting is very confusing - got quite a bit of bright red blood on toilet paper just before bed so out a pad on but there's nothing on it this morning. It's not how my period would normally start. I wonder if because my periods are normally very heavy I might get more implantation bleeding than normal. I've read it can be red blood but less likely. Time will tell.

I had to be gently steered away from looking at stuffed animals yesterday. I thought it would be very funny and cute to make it so the baby attaches to an usual animal rather than a bear - there was a nice chicken I had my eye on. And I also wanted to buy something for the cat. Apparently neither purchase was permitted by DH.

Your stegosaurus hedgehog sounds awesome!!!

Runner05 · 15/11/2015 08:42

Morning ladies, how are you all today?

Bergamot how is the spotting?

I don't want to tempt fate by thinking I might be BFP... But on the other hand I have bought my first baby toy. It's a cuddly thing that looks like a cross between a hedgehog and a stegosaurus Confused

BergamotMouse · 14/11/2015 21:04

I'm on cd24 runner of a 27/8 day cycle. But I had a 21 day cycle a few months back when I suspect I didn't ovulate and a 43 day one about 6 months ago so can't be sure of cycle length. According to fertility friend I ovulated cd13 but I suspect it was cd14 so about 10dpo. I'll just wait and see what happens as was so sure I was feeling different this last week or so.

Your symptoms sound really positive, especially the strong smell one!! I suspect you might be our first bfp!

Runner05 · 14/11/2015 20:53

Oh no Bergamot fx. Is it very early? What day are you on?

Shelb I'm not sure about feeling sick. I feel a bit queasy if I get hungry and I've had a couple of dizzy spells but nothing that I couldn't explain by getting up too quickly or being tired. Also, OH had beer with dinner and it smells so strong I can smell it from the other side of the room as if it's being wafted near me, I have a well documented rubbish sense of smell. Just wish I didn't have to wait so long to test because I'm afraid of thinking I might be in case I'm not Sad

BergamotMouse · 14/11/2015 20:28

I suspect I'm out. Just started spotting as I do a few days before AF so think this might be a shorter cycle than I thought (they are not that regular). I'm keeping fingers crossed it's implantation bleeding but not too hopeful - it all just feels very familiar.

shelbTa · 14/11/2015 17:54

Tricky one runner, could be a symptom. Do you feel sick or anything?

It just dawned on me - I cannot actually remember what it's like to have a natural AF, it's been THAT long. Scary.

Speaking of symptom spotting. I'm exhausted for no good reason and in a really irritable mood for no good reason. If AF wasn't a week away id say I was hormonal. Most annoyed about it Hmm

Pinklily1 · 14/11/2015 15:30

Thanks ladies.

OH isn't really the romantic type, but it was perfect for us - he just did it at home last night, but it was lovely. He'd asked for my parents blessing and got down on one knee, so there is a bit of a traditionalist in there!

Stark - that rubbish. Maybe not mention it for a week or so, let it die down and then bring it up again? He's changed his mind before so maybe he'll swing back!

The symptom spotting sounds like a nightmare ladies, fingers crossed we get some BFP's on here soon.

Runner05 · 14/11/2015 14:42

Pink OMG congrats!!!! You lucky cow (I mean that in the most affectionate way possible Wink) ThanksThanksThanks

Stark that just sucks! Angry still March isn't that far away and you've got all that time to negotiate a sooner start date Wink

Shelb I though waiting for the withdrawal bleed to sod off was difficult. Then I was scared, then when I hit the tww I realised exactly how slow time could pass... Just thought I'd let you know what you have to look forward to Grin

Willpower, what will power? I have now wasted 3 tests but I have told myself no more! I will not test before next Wednesday. It will still be a few days before AF but it should be 12 past ovulation assuming I ovulated when I think I did.
Not at all convinced that I am though, I think most of my symptoms are in my head.

BunchOfBobs · 14/11/2015 14:26

Hi all.
Pink huge congratulations!
Runner I'm very hopeful for you, i can't believe the will power you have. I hope the tww isn't awful for everyone.

Starky I hope he comes round but if you tell yourself it's March then hopefully it'll come round really quickly.

shelbTa · 14/11/2015 13:19

Afternoon ladies!

Omg pink congratulations!!!!! Thanks that's amazing!!!

Runner - this is all sounding quite hopeful eh, you've got some serious willpower waiting to test!

Aww stark that sucks balls. I know what you mean, I can usually talk mine round too and then every now and then he puts his foot down and I just think, shit.

Well I don't feel much different to be honest ladies being off the pill yet as still have the withdrawal bleed to get through. Will feel different this time next week though I think when I'm meant to be taking it again!! Need to work out when I'm likely to be fertile, still being thick and not quite getting it!

ON the flipside, Dh is still a big knob and doesn't want to start ttc till March....The dick. I've tried wangle and saying can I at least have one 'go' before then. I get my way 99% of the time, so when he says no, I usually know it's a no,I might just have to suck it up!Grin

StarkyTheDirewolf · 14/11/2015 13:05

CONGRATULATIONS PINK! ! ! AMAZING NEWS! YES I SHOUTING BECAUSE I'M ONE IF THOSE PEOPLE! IF THIS WAS REAL LIFE I'D BE JUMPING UP AND DOWN, SQUEALING AND HUGGING YOU! Grin

Ni4444 · 14/11/2015 12:56

pink that's fantastic news!! Congratulations!! I'm very jealous! Would love a surprise like that! We're off on his bday trip and it's such a romantic location...thankfully his friends have asked him if he's gonna propose here so it's not just me reminding him of what he needs to do! I think he'll need a lot more pushing though...he's too relaxed!

Was it a romantic proposal?!

Started the SME plan yesterday...day 1 dtd done!

BergamotMouse · 14/11/2015 10:34

You've definitely still got a good chance Deborah. The egg survives for 12-36 hours and I've heard that the fastest sperm can reach it in 2 hours. Got my fingers crossed for you.

I just felt dizzy in the shower and had to sit down, I will add that to my growing list of imaginary symptoms. You can google any possible bodily experience with the word pregnancy after it and find that some website or person says it's a possible symptom.

Deborah89 · 14/11/2015 09:53

And anyone else on the 2ww! X X

Deborah89 · 14/11/2015 09:52

Bergamot I desperately want to test again tomorrow but as I don't have any symptoms and I only managed to convince OH on ovulation day and didn't TTC until the morning after my predicted ovulation. Very very low chance Sad

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for bergamot and runner though X

BergamotMouse · 14/11/2015 09:19

AF is due Wednesday for me too so we're in the same boat Deborah. Both testing foolishly early Blush. It's so hard to wait but it's only 4 days.

Deborah89 · 14/11/2015 09:13

Pink we got engaged end of August and are planning to do the same, baby then wedding then more babies.

Bergamot AF is due Wednesday so the test was pretty early. X

Pinklily1 · 14/11/2015 08:57

Obviously I meant be engaged before we have a baby - rather than be engaged before we got married (that's kind of a pre-requisite!)

We are still planning on TTC in January. My biological clock is ticking in my head, so I think we will probably aim to have one baby then get married. I still plan on looking at dresses though :-)

BergamotMouse · 14/11/2015 08:56

Wow pink! Amazing news! Huge congratulations! Thanks
Are you going to start planning soon or just focus on TTC?

I did a test last night and one this morning and no sign of a second line (despite checking under every light in the house). Think I'll do one more tomorrow then wait for AF.

Deborah - when's your AF due?

Deborah89 · 14/11/2015 08:54

Omg!! Massive congratulations pinklily!!!! WineThanksSmile

Pinklily1 · 14/11/2015 08:48

Ps Shelb - how do you feel being pill free?!!

Pinklily1 · 14/11/2015 08:48

Morning ladies

Runner - fingers crossed for the testing!

A little bit of news from me - OH proposed last night, so I am now a Mrs to be!! He had made a comment ages ago that he would like us to be engaged before getting married, so I suppose it was on the cards, but it took me by surprise last night!
