TTC #1 coming off the pill in December - anyone else in the same boat?!

Hi,

I am going to be coming off the pill after ten years plus on it after my pack finishes in December. Excited but also terrified about what my body is going to do once I'm without all the hormones!

Anyone else doing the same roughly the same time?

Shelb x

(Hope this goes through struggling to post)

Wow bergamot that's exciting!!!

I'm feeling all in a panic because AF is 5-6 days late. I'm usually very regular (though cycle does seem to fluctuate between 31 and 32 days) and have never missed a period before. I can't be pregnant because I have the coil in and anyway don't feel any different from normal. Only weird thing was that I had some pink spotting last week that doesn't normally happen. It def wasn't AF as they are usually really heavy (thanks to the coil). Now I'm scared I've suddenly become infertile or developed pcos the month before we were going to start ttc. Sad

StarkyTheDirewolf · 16/11/2015 19:07

I see a line in the last one bergamot could be evaporation but you never know!

Newmrs22 · 16/11/2015 19:06

Eep! I've missed a lot! The testing is so exciting!! Can't wait for the first bfp!

AF is due on Friday for me (I think) and I'm symptom spotting like mad. I really want to hold on til Saturday to test but it's so hard to wait!

BergamotMouse · 16/11/2015 18:19

No, nothing in time limit. So it is probably evap line.

I'll try again first thing. I almost wish i hadn't done it now! The wait's going to kill me.

Runner05 · 16/11/2015 18:07

Oh, and yes I see lines Smile

Runner05 · 16/11/2015 18:06

Bergamot I'm certainly not going to tell you off for obsessing.

I'm assuming you didn't see anything at all within the time limit? Most cheap tests will develop a line after a couple of hours, that's not to say they are evap lines but I'd test again first thing in the morning and post photos!!! Wink

shelbTa · 16/11/2015 18:00

I can see it on the bottom one in the first pic

shelbTa · 16/11/2015 18:00

I think I can see it, yes! But I wouldn't know if it's an evap line or not but I can Deffo see something.

Anyone else see it?

Oh - and don't give yourself a hard time, I will be obsessing the exact same if not more when the time comes!

Maybe a clearer one?

BergamotMouse · 16/11/2015 17:57

I've added 3 pics. In the first it's against yesterday's to compare. It's the bottom one. It's so difficult to get a photo!

Must stop getting carried away!!!

Bergamot - I'm no expert but didn't want to read and run! Probably, could you upload a pic? X

I think, an hour on, I can see a line. It's probably an evap line isn't it??

BergamotMouse · 16/11/2015 17:32

I'm sure they'd work perfectly fine next month but may as well get a new pack and use all these ones.

God, I need help - I've checked this test about 10 times. There's definitely no line and my eyes hurt from staring at it with my iPhone torch. I think I need rehab!!

Runner05 · 16/11/2015 17:17

Lol, well it would be wrong to waste the tests Wink

BergamotMouse · 16/11/2015 16:59

Due Wednesday ish but it's always a bit random so could be anytime soon. I stupidly just did an afternoon test with dilute urine (not getting desperate at all) which was negative of course. Maybe I'll cave and do another tomorrow am. My soon to be out of date tests are disappearing fast!!

Runner05 · 16/11/2015 16:54

Oh no Bergamot I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you. When is AF due?

BergamotMouse · 16/11/2015 16:51

It's all looking really positive for you runner. I can definitely see something on the first photo however faint!! How exciting. Double check the due date as the calculator I used suggested end of July. Fingers crossed tomorrow will confirm.

I had huge doubts just before fertile window but we had sex, DH didn't suggest a condom and I went with it and it definitely became easier after first time. I now have no doubts!!

I've had a really bad headache today which could be a sign of AF arriving. The spotting has continued lightly (tiny amount on wiping), just as it does before AF so I'm quickly losing all hope.

Runner05 · 16/11/2015 15:16

In my effort to stay calm I have definitely not downloaded Ovia pregnancy and discovered that if I'm pregnant the baby is the size of a water bear (or a grain sawdust) or that it would be due at the end of June/start of July... I'm not very good at this staying calm thing Blush

Runner05 · 16/11/2015 13:39

Haha stark so true! Blush

Ok, well as long as we are all staying calm another first, nobody has ever cheered for my womb before I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there's a nice sticky blastocyst making himself at home in my womb.

shelbTa · 16/11/2015 13:28

Haha starky, it really is

I know runner, we should all calm it (myself included) as if you get a bfn tomorrow it would be disappointing there's no denying. But, allow yourself to wonder a little I think, the smelling the beer thing is what convinced me ;-).

I do still see it there, we mustn't get our hopes up too much yet though! I know what you mean though, I'm sat here like "c'mon runners womb! Be cosy and inviting! Woooo! " air punch! Grin all my fingers crossed for you!

Runner05 · 16/11/2015 13:22

I've got a first response but they're 15mlu as apprised to super drug own which is 10mlu (super sensitive) I'll try super drug first thing in the morning and if that's positive I'll back it up with first response.

I am convincing myself that this must be wrong. I'll probably test tomorrow and get BFN and I don't want to be disappointed but I do feel more sure of myself now I've been able to get something visible on a photo of the test right after it was taken. It's less likely to be evap.

Hope the headache sods off Shelb

shelbTa · 16/11/2015 13:18

Oh and good work stark! X
