TTC #1 coming off the pill in December - anyone else in the same boat?!

Hi,

I am going to be coming off the pill after ten years plus on it after my pack finishes in December. Excited but also terrified about what my body is going to do once I'm without all the hormones!

Anyone else doing the same roughly the same time?

Shelb x

(Hope this goes through struggling to post)

Hi feefeefs
This thread was almost full so a new thread was created, the link to it is below.

Most of us who weren't going to Ttc until after Christmas have started and some have even had their BFP already. X

Feefeefs · 07/12/2015 19:52

Stopped the pill 1st December when I got my period(or whatever the bleeding is you get on the mini pill) strictly not TTC but not not trying to TTC.

Would love to fall pregnant quickly! Very broody

StarkyTheDirewolf · 17/11/2015 12:01

Berg that's so sooooo exciting! Grin CONGRATULATIONS! what a week guys! A proposal and a bfp!

runner STOP looking at tests! At least until tomorrow! Grin

Shall I start a new thread for us?

Runner05 · 17/11/2015 11:49

Bergamot luckily I haven't spent that much as I had a stash ready that I'd bought from the Internet. Plus it's worth it Wink

Interesting about the coloured lines as mine have all been clearly red... Guess I'll have to wait and see tomorrow as there's no way I could hold my wee for 4 or 5 hours... I struggle enough with holding it 2! The FRER was done after a couple of cups of tea so you may well be right.

I shall try a FRER tomorrow. damn you body and your mocking ways!!

BergamotMouse · 17/11/2015 11:12

Runner - I've heard it's impossible to get a coloured evap line so if it's pink it could be positive. How long did you hold your wee for because it was probably fairly dilute? Could you try hold it for 4/5 hours and test again later? You must be spending a fortune on tests!

I dug all my old ones out the bin last night and they were clearly blank, no lines at all so that made me hopeful about the test that only showed a line after an hour last night. I barely slept so know what you're feeling.

Can you go buy another (2/3) FRER?

shelbTa · 17/11/2015 11:03

Oh runner I don't know what to advise! Can you post a pic? It's so tricky isn't it.

Sorry Nan cross posted

I certainly don't mind you hanging out her and I'm sure no one else does either but I do come onto this thread to gain the support of others going through the same experiences as me on the ttc#1 journey.
I also join in on a couple of mixed ttc groups but it's not the same as speaking with people going through the same fears, doubts and mental breakdowns as me Wink

Runner05 · 17/11/2015 09:42

Can one of you ladies please tell me to stop looking at pregnancy tests after the time has expired!!!!

I caved and used my only FRER earlier as I was upset about the result. At the time there was a line of I held it to the light but nothing visible otherwise. But about an hour later and there's now a clear pink line... I've used FRER tests before and never had a line develop later before Confused

Why couldn't I have just waited until the weekend to test like a sensible person instead of testing far too early like a obsessive mental case???Blush

NantucketNightbird · 17/11/2015 09:38

I know I'm not ttc #1 but hope you guys still don't mind me tagging on? I don't post much as I don't have much time but am following all posts Smile

Runner05 · 17/11/2015 09:32

Yep Shelb threads only allow 1000 posts and we're over 950 Shock

Since there's several tcc busses I suggest we become the "ttc#1 Boat" Grin

NantucketNightbird · 17/11/2015 07:59

Good luck all I'm so excited for you Grin. I'm getting excited for my period so I can crack on with it Wink. I'm getting the usual cramps so it should be here by the end of the week, then I shall mark it on the calendar as I'm awful and never remember what date my last one was! My youngest child turned 3 on the weekend and this will be my bigger age gap, I have 3.5 yrs, 3.2yrs and 2.5yrs I'm hoping for a august/September baby girl

shelbTa · 17/11/2015 07:57

Omg congratulations bergamot that's amazing!!!!! Thanksthat is a definite line!

Ah runner - see what the FR test does, I'm really crossing my fingers for you. New thread - do you mean cos we've had so many posts?

Unlucky Deb :-(.

My withdrawal bleed is due today, joy.

Just had another look at today's test now that it's dry. There is definitely a feint line which is about the same as yesterday's so I'm not going completely crazy. I suppose as its 10mlu even if the hgc in my body did double that wouldn't necessarily make the levels that high.

I may go slightly crazy between now and testing tomorrow ConfusedBlush

leoniethelioness · 17/11/2015 07:46

Off to work now. Will check back later. Fingers crossed for some good news on a miserable November Tuesday!

Runner05 · 17/11/2015 07:43

Sorry you're out Deb Wine

Deborah89 · 17/11/2015 07:41

Bergamot that's so exciting!!
Runner I am keeping my fingers crossed for you, keep positive Smile

I am now out for this month as AF made an appearance a day early today Sad

Runner05 · 17/11/2015 07:37

Yep, I'm 11dpo so I know you're right and it's early. I just expected a slightly darker line than yesterday and if anything it's a bit lighter.
Oh well, I'll try again tomorrow. I think OH thinks I'm mental. He wasn't expecting us to get upduffed in the first month and I don't think he'd be upset if this turns out to be a false alarm.
I still have all the same symptoms I had before and my temp is still elevated so I guess I'll just have to wait...

Off to boots to get some FRERs later.

BergamotMouse · 17/11/2015 07:28

Don't forget that it's still early days to get a positive runner. Are you 11dpo? I'm 13dpo today and the line is still very difficult to see.

I think a FRER is the way to go. I've got my fingers crossed for you.

Runner05 · 17/11/2015 07:21

By the way, we're going to need a new thread soon... We should think of a name for our little group! Smile

Runner05 · 17/11/2015 07:06

Omg Bergamot I can't believe it!!!! Congratulations Grin Thanks

Well I'm miffed, I've had the same non committal, almost invisible line today that I had yesterday. Might even be a bit lighter today Sad the line is so feint that I really had to convince OH it was there. I'm starting to think that the Superdrug Tests always have the shadow of a line and I'm just losing it Sad
I'm going to do a FRER tomorrow but I'm not holding out much hope any more.

BergamotMouse · 17/11/2015 07:04

I think this may end up being a very unproductive work day which is a bit difficult as a teacher. DH isn't convinced by the test - he thinks the line is too difficult to see but think he's excited anyway. I just hope it sticks!

BunchOfBobs · 17/11/2015 06:31

Omg omg omg Mega congratulations!!!!!! Grin
I'm so excited for you!!!!! How on earth are you going to focus at work?!!!

BergamotMouse · 17/11/2015 06:17

Not Deborah, Harriet. My minds all over the place.

BergamotMouse · 17/11/2015 06:14

Deep breaths. Still faint but within the time limit!! I think I might have my bfp.

I'm in a bit of a daze. Told DH who is unfazed / half asleep and said 'show me over breakfast' haha.

Deborah - I've heard of people getting pregnant with the coil - you could always do a test just to be sure?

Right, now to try to do everything I need to get to work on time!!
