I'm going to just wait it out and see how it goes. If I have no AF by Friday I will test again ,

If you waited 30mins-1hr for the lines to come up they are most likely evaps. Only look at the test within the right amount of time or you will drive yourself mad. I hope you get the result you want.

gabrielle1201 · 28/09/2015 11:09

Have to wait a week for blood test. So I'll test again Sunday

I had a few lying in the house from my last pregnancy but I can't help
It. I just don't want to be wasting anyone's time

This must be costing you a fortune. In the nicest possible way, step away from the tests, leave it a few days and see if AF turns up. Then you can test again when the results are less likely to be so marginal. Good luck!

I have the doctors this morning so I am going to show them my test me aww what they say to me AF still
Is not here so that's 3DPAF . No signs of period although woke up with an agonising back, nausea, feeling like I've a bug in my tummy. Hopefully it's all good.

I remember testing around 6 ish days before AF. The test was 'negative' initially and I dumped it in the bin and forgot about it for all of, oooh, 20 minutes. Grin Anyway I pulled it from the bin and saw the faintest of the faintest second line. I stared at it thinking I have Line Eyes but it was there. Another test two days later came up absolutley positive. Hang in there and test again in two days chick.
The stringy mucus is misleading. I used to get it before my period. I also got it with my BFP, however, I noticed it when I was around 9 ish weeks onwards and not in the immediate new days of a BFP.

steppemum · 27/09/2015 23:38

any faint positive is positive.
It doesn't matter if a second test doesn't show it, that just means that the hormones were a but lower at that point.

positive is positive. A faint positive isn't a maybe, it is a positive.

Any faint positive within the time and you are pregnant!

gabrielle1201 · 27/09/2015 23:30

but the test wouldnt show a line if there was not any hcg for it to detect. correct??

I know of people who were in the same boat as myself and they were indeed pregnant. But if that were the case, would all tests come up neg and not just 2?

OP posts:
gabrielle1201 · 27/09/2015 22:36

I took 2 after the 10 minutes one was positive n other neg

FattyFishwife · 27/09/2015 22:35

ive never known a test say wait for any more than 10 mins to read.Confused

Junosmum · 27/09/2015 22:26

Most tests say read within 10minutes. A line after that could be an evaporation line.

gabrielle1201 · 27/09/2015 22:08

I waited the 30 minutes seen the line but left it a while and it was still there if even brighter

OP posts:
Junosmum · 27/09/2015 20:44

What do you mean you waited an hour? If the second line didn't come up in the time it says on the instructions then it doesn't count!

gabrielle1201 · 27/09/2015 20:06

Stringy clear mucus ? Is this a sign?

OP posts:
gabrielle1201 · 27/09/2015 16:28

Also o waited about an hour to ensure it was a very faint positive x

OP posts:
gabrielle1201 · 27/09/2015 16:28

Ah okay but the results I had were only faint so will she take this as a positive result? X

You need to get referred to the midwife around 8 week. Unless you don't want to continue with the pregnancy? The dr will be pretty useless, and it's unlikely they'll test you since you've had positives at home.

If you want to continue with the pregnancy you need to start taking folic acid.

gabrielle1201 · 27/09/2015 14:31

Today, but I have no signs of period at all. I've the doctors tomorrow so what do I do?

OP posts:
Junosmum · 27/09/2015 14:24

It means you are pregnant! Stop testing! When is your period due?

gabrielle1201 · 27/09/2015 14:15

Taken 4 test-2BFN--2BFP. I don't know what this means tho.

Well I bought 2 First Response ones now. Should I take one now n wait for the morn or leave both until the morning ?

Paulinefowler · 27/09/2015 12:38

That's a positive- exactly what I had when I tested with DS.

Junosmum · 27/09/2015 12:24

Honestly, I stopped testing after I got a tiny tiny positive on a tesco test. I was pregnant, that was it. The day after I took a clear blue digital as hubby didn't quite believe it - it took ages and ages to come up with 'pregnant' but it did. I haven't taken a test since. I never got a dark line, I knew I was pregnant and that was enough.

From what I can see on those tests, you are pregnant. If your period turns up then it was a chemical pregnancy. If it doesn't turn up then you are still pregnant. Congratulations.

FYI - clear blue none digital are less sensitive than the tesco or first response ones, so no wonder you got a negative on them. The First response ones are sensitive to 10mmul, tesco 20 mmul (I think), clear blue digital 25mmul and clear blue none digital 50mmul.
