Geek - how embarrassed am I? talk about teaching your Granny to suck eggs! so sorry. Does that mean though that you can solve my problem? I am trying to move my software to another computer without losing my past cycles, how can I move them?

Temp dropped by .3 this morning

I guess the whole process is spontaneous except the love making on demand which really does put pressure on but there's no hiding the basic facts you need to go at it at the right time. Definitely easier said than done with social evenings getting in the way.
I don't know what to expect at the fertility unit in the hospital but am hoping for the initial sperm tests and we'll take it from there. I may start a thread to get some advice nearer the time.
I will also mention my Luteal Phase and see what options there are.

The "spontaneous ovulation" claim has been driving me mad recently too. Personally suspect this claim relates to old idea that everyone ovulates at precisely 14 days before end of cycle - anyone dated outside of that must be due to "spontaneous ovulation".

My cycle is driving me mad by being fantastically replicable, but faulty (short LP). However I like to know what is going on. There may be some people who feel worse for charting month after month, I know it helps me - I can see a problem which hopefully is fixable.

LondonLottie those are very helpful like minded words. Thanks for cheering me up Interesting we have similar cycles. I OV CD 21 and then have 10 day LP (just)
Am taking a risky path of higher dose B6 and Agnus Castus this month to see if it makes any difference.
I do see the logic in relaxation and reduced stress but the fact is not getting pg is quite stressful! Especially first time round.
Got our hospital appointment on April 18th so will hopefully get some answers then.
I guess I am feeling low because naughty has surfaced (several pg announcements) and I have a stinking cold despite all the bloody vitamins I am taking!

cityangel - sorry to hear that you are not feeling too good, I am not sure if we can help, but feel free to rant here as well as the hut of doom if you want too....

cityangel · 06/03/2007 11:59

Hi Londonlottie... very down actually

Am finding it not happening very hard to cope with this month.

I have longer cycles so now have to wait another 17 days before OV and 11 days after that to see...

What is most annoying is how many bloody people tell me to relax about it and it will happen!

Perhaps I should go on the hut of doom instead of dragging anyone down on here.

3catstoo · 05/03/2007 17:21

Huge Congrats Geek.
So pleased for you.

There does seem to be a steady stream of BFPs on this thread!

Well only 2 days od Bding here. DH was too tired yesterday .
CD21 blood tests on Wednesday.

Sorry about AF cityangel.

Hi to everyone else.

Geek that's really exciting keep us posted was wondering where you were.

Sadly AF for me today, stupidly got myself convinced I was pg this month so well miserable. It would seem the hospital appointment next month is very needed. Dh is also very miserable this month and to be honest I have gone from imagining being pg all the time to wondering if its even possible.

geekInPigtails · 03/03/2007 14:20

Thanks Ready, I hope you get a little duckie all your own soon!

Ready · 03/03/2007 14:13

Geek - me again, just looked at your chart again. How wonderful to see that little duckie

Ready · 03/03/2007 14:09

Mustn't forget, fingers crossed 3catstoo and cityangel

Ready · 03/03/2007 14:07

Oh Geekinpigtails!!!!! I knew it!!!!! I was thinking about you this morning as I chart-spotted!!! I wondered if you might be pg!! Oh I am so thrilled for you!! How very exciting!!!!

Now you take it easy, less of the hard-work huh!!

Oh that has made my day Congratulations!!!!!!!!

geekInPigtails · 03/03/2007 14:01

Hello everyone. Sorry it's been so long since I've posted, and special thanks to Ready for thinking of me I have been lurking every so often to check up on you all, but work has been pretty busy which means that I've rarely had time to think about composing a post, and also means that I've not been inclined to turn on a computer when I'm at home!

Tbh it's been quite nice to have a month where I've been able to go more than a couple of hours without thinking about TTC Just what I needed after the huge disappointment last month. I've been taking my temps less regularly as well, which means that although I know ovulation happened I'm not that sure when it happened. There's a 3 day window depending on where you draw the coverline.

So that meant when AF didn't arrive last Monday, I could be fairly relaxed about it and think that my OV must have been delayed, and AF would arrive on Wednesday. I had the worst cold/flu thing in the world Mon-Thur anyway so that took my mind off it again, and meant I couldn't really check my temps for a few days.

So, erm, long story short, it got to Thursday, AF still didn't arrive, my temp was still above the coverline (it normally drops at least a day before AF), so I did a cheap HPT in the evening... and got a faint BFP! At first I wasn't even sure it was there, but it did get slightly more obvious after a few minutes if you knew what you were looking.

Went to bed, temp the next morning (yesterday) was still high, so bit the bullet and did my one remaining ClearBlue test - and got the biggest fattest boldest BFP in the world! Still fairly in shock, happy but trying to be realistic too, it's very early days. Haven't even plucked up the courage to call the GP yet, I'll do that on Monday I think.

Just want to say straight away, thanks so much for all the support I've had from everyone on here, really hope you all get your beautiful babies soon!

3catstoo · 03/03/2007 09:52

Sorry, posted before I had finished then.
DH wants to stop trying again so this month had better be it.

He wants to know when I will give up on the idea.

Well we bdd last night and this morning and hopefully will tonight.

3catstoo · 03/03/2007 09:50

I can understand that cityangel. Lets hope we all have a positive March.

My DH was wavering again this morning.

cityangel · 02/03/2007 19:23

Mum03 yes yours is high isn't it! 3catsoo I am trying not to get too hopeful about my chart it just seems one silly month after another where I get my hopes up!

3catstoo · 02/03/2007 14:43

Cityangel, your chart looks great, apart from the coverline, which I would ignore. Looks like you put in a good effort. Fingers crossed. When will you test?

mum03 · 02/03/2007 13:13

Cityangel - if you think your coverline is high, have a look at my chart and see what it looks like mine is going to be!!!!! Anyway the high temps on your chart look good, hope that they stay high for you.

3cats - hope you get plenty of action tonight!

3catstoo · 02/03/2007 13:01

Thanks Ready.

My original appt was cancelled because the consultant has to be somewhere else that day, so the clinic is cancelled that day.
We will delay going to my Mums until later that day. I don't want to postpone the appt. Hopefully I won't need it though.
As we have only bd'd 3 times in this cycle it is unlikely that I will have any luck this month.
Saw the doctor yesterday to get my ears checked again. I have an ear inf, glue ear and a throat inf. So I feel justified in feeling yuk!
Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon and make my throat feel better. Unfortunately I can't take the medication for the glue ear when ttc. I might give ttc a miss next month if my ears are no better. I figure I need to be healthier to cope with pregnancy anyway.

Today is predicted Ov and I got a positive opk today. Hopefully DH will get home at a resonable time and I will feel upto some action .

I have had much more cm this month than usual. It is obvious this week that it's the right time. (unless all these infections are creating more mucus anyway?)

How are everyone else?
It seems very quite on here lately.

Have a fab weekend anyway.

cityangel · 02/03/2007 11:05

Anybody got any idea what the * is going on with my chart!

The cover line is rediculously high and the fertile period is way longer than I would have set it!

I think maybe my temps were higher earlier in the month because of the Agnus castus.

Hope you're all foing good

Ready · 28/02/2007 18:33

3cats Sorry to hear that the change in appointment has caused stress. What a shame the dates clash. Can you ask to keep your original appointment?? Or perhaps invent a reason to delay your visit by a day.
Sorry to hear that you are feeling yucky (hug) Hope you feel better soon

MrsMcJnr · 28/02/2007 16:15

Hello, just popped on to check up on you all. Hope you are all in high spirits x
