TCOYF - follow on chart spotters thread

Hello fellow chart-spotters...

Was wondering if someone could take a look at my chart and let me know what they think re. OV - it's my first proper month of charting and I got all depressed this morning because due to a) us being apart and b) us not getting on that well the BDing has been very low. Pouting this morning has since put only my second BD love heart on my poor little chart - but I'm not sure whether my temps mean much at the moment.

Had a weekend of late nights & drinking (not particularly well behaved!!) so didn't take my temp one day, and a couple of others recently have registered as disturbances.

snowy, my technophobic friend, your temp has gone up again today. yesterday didnt look good, but today looks good again!

3 cats.....go for it tonight too if you can both manage it, otherwise you will only regret it if you dont! it does get to be a chore sometimes doesn't it? i didnt ov till cd25 last month so we were going for it from cd11 ish and i got fed up in the end! not v. romantic hey!

Hello all, thanks for worrying about me MrsMc, you're so sweet! I'm fine, just got so much other stuff on my mind that TTC is moving to the back burner a bit, at least until we're past Christmas.

SparklyTree - know exactly what you mean about BDing too much too early, I think we did that a couple of cycles ago. DH just couldn't cope with the idea of BDing AGAIN by the time we got to the day after OV! But then I told him that if he complained about BDing any more then I'd have to withhold conjugal favours for a couple of weeks while he recovered - that shut him up pretty quick So this cycle I'm only going to initiate it every other day, and hopefully keep at it until a bit later in the cycle.

I think we may have been stopping bd too early. Its easy to tire dh out and make him feel like sperm factory so it's getting that balance I find hard. I'm off to look at the charts.

I might try to persuade DH to BD tonight just in case .

I am doing ok CD19 OV today chart looking better than previous ones but I want my temp to go up over the coverline tomorrow for it to make sense!

It took me a while to find the thread too.

Well I'm even more confused this morning.
I took my temp and was so pleased that it had finally gone up. Then did saliva test, thinking I know there will be no ferns - I was wrong, there were ferns.
Then checked CM, expecting to find a nice low firm cervix. No, it was so high I could only just reach. To my horror I had CM that could be classed as EW, not too sure, definately creamy though (TMI sorry). Now is it possible that my body got ready to Ov at the weekend but then didn't and is now having another go?
My peak day has moved to today.
I have no more OPKs so can't even try that one.
anyone got any ideas?

i wouldnt look at my chart for a while if i were you ladies cos it will be 36.4 36.4 36.4 36.3 36.4 till about march and then i might ovulate!

Hello ladies! So so so sorry MrsMcClaus, I'm obviously not as much of a geek as I thought, since I didn't actually notice this new thread until today . Though my excuse is that I've been trying NOT to go on mnet so much in the past week, and relax a bit instead.

So I'm heading into the fertile bit of my next cycle now. Expecting OV Saturday-ish, so looking forward to a week of BDing

Re moving your software MrsMcClaus (if you haven't already sorted this out)... Your past cycles are saved in a file called something.tcf so I think you need to find that file and copy it to the new computer. Then on the new computer run TCOYF, and hit "Search for existing database" in the File menu, and point it at that file. Note that I haven't tried this myself, so no guarantees, but if you haven't got that far yet, try it and let us know how you get on!

How is everyone doing?

Snowy, how long are your cycles usually?

Don't know what's going on with my temps this week. Everything points to Ov being on saturday but not temp rise on Sunday to prove it. By yesterday afternoon my cervix was low, closed and firm, so nothing more happening there (sorry if TMI).
Had EWCM late Friday night and sat morning. I'm sure it was Sat. Managed to BD only on Sat morning. DH is just so tired at the moment that this has been a poor cycle for BDing.
AF due on 21st so counting down now. My in laws are arriving on 23rd so I need to know by then as I won't feel comfortable finding out when they are here, either way.

It's a wet, dull and miserable day here.
No motivation to do anything at the moment. Christmas tree needles everywhere I look as DH picked up the tree yesterday. We kept changing our mind where it was going so we have a trail of needles. It looks lovely though. I just love the smell when I walk into the room.
I could sit by the tree and drink mulled wine all day (given the chance ).

Anyway enough of my rambling.

How do I round the temps to one decimal place? Up or down, or anything over.05 up and under.05 down?

Mrs - normal for me? good qu! i used to have 40 -45 day cycles before ds and dd, but since coming off the pill this time it took about 3 months for first af then 38 days, 30 days ,31 days and now THIS cycle.
just had heavier spotting but temp is still up. not sure how relevant it is taking temp at this time of day but i felt i had to check! i have also discovered another pg test at the bottom of my wardrobe, so i have 2, so as soon as my bladder refills i will be testing! i dont have any instructions though cos my friend gave them to me!
it isnt clear blue, not sure what make it is! i am assuming they all have similar instructions!

Greedy ? any reaons why that temp on Thurs 23/11 would be artificially high? Even if it was and you Ovd on Fri 24/11, you are still 14 or 16dpo today - remind me again, what is the norm for you cyclewise?

3catstwo ? do you think your earlier rising times have thrown your chart out? how annoying for you.

Ready, I?ve had a look at your temps. They are so much easier to interpret if you just take one decimal place. I agree that you probably did OV on cd15 as all your temps after that have been higher and I would put your coverline at 36.15/36.2ish. So, your temps are still above your coverline and there is nothing to worry about on the temp front, even if it is lower than the previous days. You are only 13dpo so still early days. Hope that helps Try not to get too upset, it might be for nothing, hugs. You need to see what your own body does but the rule of thumb is that you add .1 for every ½ hour you under sleep and deduct .1 for every ½ hour you oversleep.

3catstwo ? depends on the OPK. I?ve got all excited at a line before and then read that a faint line is a negative. Certainly is on the Boots ones. I?ll go and have a look at your chart too. Hope you feel better; migraines are so horrible aren?t they.

Your temps look fab Greedy. Are your cycles normally so long?

I got a faint line on the OPK today, does it still mean +ve even if it's faint?

My chart has changed now. No Ov on it but it tells me that I am fertile 'right now'.
Shame DH is having a liquid lunch today, he'll be fit for nothing other than sleep when he gets home (if he gets home).

oooooohhhhhh Mrs! DON'T!!!!! i keep thinking that and then i think ' no dont be stupid, dont get carried away (again).... the test said negative!' even the software told me to test today...but i have only got one test left and i am too scared! if you look at my chart i could possibly only be 14dpo though couldnt i? which is what ovusoft tells me i am. what do you think oh fountain of knowledge?
